Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 792: Baking Cakes in the Upper Domain

After leaving Stove to play with Little Hua and the cubs, Su Qinglan walked back to the carved stone pavilion and sat down.
She poured herself a cup of fragrant, steamed flower tea, taking a slow sip as the gentle mountain breeze blew past her hair.
While the warm liquid washed down her throat, her mind was entirely occupied with thoughts of how to actually help Stove gain a real human body.
In truth, when she made that confident promise to him earlier, she had only said it to boost his morale. She knew very well that even the vast Upper Domain might not possess a solution for him.
Stove’s origin was far too unique. He wasn’t a natural spiritual plant born of heaven and earth, nor was he a typical beast spirit...he was an entity born directly from her own plant power consciousness!
His very existence was a supreme secret that she couldn’t casually reveal to anyone in this world.
If even ancient beastmen couldn’t comprehend his form, how could ordinary divine treasures forge him a physical body?
System? Are you alive? Su Qinglan called out in her mind.
Silence.
System? Xuyu, answer me! She tried calling out several more times, knocking mentally on the system interface.
Still, not a single sound echoed back.
Su Qinglan sighed softly, setting her porcelain teacup back on the stone table with a quiet clink.
It was always like this! She had no idea what this lazy, cheap system was constantly busy with, but it would often go completely offline for weeks at a time without warning.
Since she had no clue when it would pop back online, she could only pin all her hopes on it for now.
Once the system finally woke up, it would surely have a special way, item, or secret method to help Stove create a true human vessel.
Fanning away the lingering trace of worry in her chest, Su Qinglan looked out at the sunny garden. The afternoon sun was warm, and a sudden idea struck her.
Since the four-beast husbands were out practicing near the lake, and the children had gone through so much chaotic tension lately, why not cook up a batch of delicious, sweet cakes for the whole family to enjoy?
The Upper Domain was filled with rich, untouched divine resources. Just yesterday, while exploring the estate’s vast storage pantries, Su Qinglan had discovered a massive stock of unique, golden plant seeds.
They weren’t ordinary wheat, but their plump, hard shells looked remarkably similar to whole grain.
She had secretly wondered back then...if these golden seeds were dried and ground down properly, wouldn’t they turn into fine flour?
Filled with motivation, Su Qinglan stood up and walked toward the inner courtyard to look for Xuan Long.
She wasn’t worried about leaving the children in the spiritual garden for a moment. The garden was the most heavily guarded, protected place in the entire Heavenly God Estate, surrounded by ancient grand arrays.
Furthermore, dozens of gentle plant fairies were fluttering around them, and with both little Hua and Stove watching over the little ones, the cubs were as safe as could be.
Inside the main pavilion, Xuan Long was organizing high-grade spiritual crystal cores. Hearing her light footsteps, he immediately set his tasks aside and turned around, his handsome face softening into a warm smile.
"Lanlan," Xuan Long called out softly, his deep voice carrying a tender tone. "Why aren’t you resting in the garden? Do you need something?"
Su Qinglan walked up to him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Xuan Long, come with me to the storage pantry! I found a plant seed yesterday, and I want to try making some fresh flour to bake cakes for the cubs!"
Xuan Long blinked in slight surprise, then chuckled softly. "Bake cakes?"
"Yes!" Su Qinglan nodded eagerly, grabbing his long sleeve. "But I need your help to grind the seeds into fine powder. My strength alone will take too long."
"Anything for you," Xuan Long replied without a second thought, wrapping his broad hand around hers as they walked toward the storage rooms.
Together, they hauled out several large sacks of the golden, sun-dried seeds. Xuan Long carried the heavy bags effortlessly, setting them down beside a large, ancient stone mortar in the kitchen courtyard.
"Like this?" Xuan Long asked, raising his hand. A subtle wave of his terrifyingly refined serpent aura flared up, wrapping around his palm.
"Wait, don’t use too much force!" Su Qinglan quickly warned, giggling. "We want fine, powdery flour, not crushed rocks!"
Xuan Long smiled indulgently. He controlled his immense strength with absolute precision, pressing his palm down onto the golden seeds inside the deep stone mortar.
CRUNCH... CRUSH...
Under his precise pressure, the hard golden husks shattered cleanly, and the inner white grains were instantly crushed into a silky, snow-white powder!
Su Qinglan leaned in, scooping up a handful of the fresh powder with her fingers. She rubbed it between her thumb and forefinger, feeling its texture carefully.
The powder was smooth, soft, and carried a faint, sweet grain aroma!
"It really worked!" Su Qinglan gasped out in sheer delight. "Look at this, Xuan Long! The texture is almost identical to fine wheat flour! Even if it doesn’t taste a hundred percent the same as what I used to make back home, it will definitely make soft, delicious cakes!"
Xuan Long watched her glowing, happy face, his heart swelling with pure warmth. He reached out, gently wiping a tiny speck of white flour off the tip of her cute nose.
"As long as it’s made by your hands," Xuan Long whispered softly, his dark eyes brimming with love, "the cubs and I will eat every single piece."
Su Qinglan’s face flushed a rosy pink. She playfully patted his chest, her heart fluttering.
"Alright, stop sweet-talking and help me grind two more bowls! The cubs have huge appetites, and I want to make enough for Hu Yan and the others when they finish practicing at the lake!"
"Understood, my Mistress," Xuan Long teased with a low laugh, enthusiastically getting back to work grinding the rest of the golden grain for her feast.
