Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 785: The Misunderstanding at the Tiger Estate
Previously on Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off...
Only An Mo knew how truly terrified he had been for the past twenty-four hours. Xiao Yi had been missing for an entire day with zero news!
Back at the estate, Su Qinglan had almost gone completely mad with panic. Her terrifying authority had flared up so intensely that none of the beast husbands even dared to speak a word in front of her!
Everyone had been on edge, frantically searching every single inch of the region.
An Mo felt immense guilt and self-blame. After all, he was the one who had brought everyone to this area! It was his direct responsibility to keep his mate and children safe.
When he later found out that the brainless Bao Clan had come knocking on the Teng Clan Estate’s doors, he had been furious but he couldn’t even waste time dealing with them because finding Xiao Yi was the only thing that mattered!
The entire Upper Domain had been thrown into sheer chaos as their forces searched everywhere, until An Mo finally caught a vague lead that brought him straight to the Flying Heavenly Tiger Estate.
The reason Rong Ye hadn’t been able to track Xiao Yi in time was simple...the cub’s scent had completely vanished from the back mountains!
When they searched the last spot where Xiao Yi had been, they found the bushes of a rare forbidden mountain fruit. That fruit possessed natural masking properties that completely erased any beastman’s aura and scent for hours after eating it!
Only after tracing faint, lingering footmarks near the fruit plant did they realize another beastman’s scent had appeared on the mountain. Following that faint trace, An Mo had rushed over at full speed and miraculously found Xiao Yi right here!
An Mo held the cub on his hip, his face instantly turning dark as he shifted his sharp, icy gaze back to Sheng Rulan and Chi Jiayu.
"You two..." An Mo’s voice rang out like a heavy bell, dripping with danger. "Explain yourselves. Why is my cub in your estate?"
Sheng Rulan and Chi Jiayu were so intimidated by his terrifying status and authority that their throats felt completely dry.
Seeing his Father An Mo, acting so scary, Xiao Yi quickly reached out his chubby little hands and patted An Mo’s hand to rescue them!
"Father An Mo, don’t be mad at my pretty sister!" Xiao Yi chimed loudly in his sweet, baby voice.
An Mo blinked, looking down at the cub. "Xiao Yi?"
"Pretty Sister is a good person!" Xiao Yi explained earnestly, waving his plump little arms around as he recounted the whole story.
"Yesterday, Xiao Yi got lost in the dark mountain and fought a mean, ugly monster! My paws were all bloody and hurt so bad... but then Pretty Sister found me! She carried me home, healed all my scratches, washed my fur, and gave me a big platter of delicious meat!"
An Mo froze, listening to the cub’s innocent chatter. He looked at Sheng Rulan and Chi Jiayu with dark, probing eyes, silently evaluating whether Xiao Yi was telling the absolute truth or if he had simply been tricked and manipulated by them.
After all, a Flying Heavenly Tiger cub was an extraordinarily rare, priceless treasure in the Upper Domain!
An Mo couldn’t help but suspect the possibility that these people had spotted a stray divine tiger cub and secretly wanted to keep him in their estate to raise as their own!
If they had truly just ’rescued’ him... why hadn’t they immediately sent word out to report it?!
"If you truly saved him out of kindness," An Mo stated coldly, his eyes narrowing, "why did you hide him inside your inner estate instead of notifying his family?"
Sheng Rulan’s face flushed pale, but she mustered up the courage to step forward, bowing respectfully.
"Lord An Mo, please forgive our ignorance!" Sheng Rulan said, her voice shaking slightly.
"Yesterday, my husband and I found Xiao Yi unconscious and injured in the deep mountains. We brought him back solely to heal his wounds and feed him. We... we had absolutely no idea who his parents were!"
Chi Jiayu quickly nodded in agreement, cupping his hands solemnly.
"It’s true, my Lord! When the little cub woke up today, he told us his father was named Hu Yan and his mother was named Su Qinglan. We searched our entire clan’s records and couldn’t find any Tiger beastman named Hu Yan! We didn’t even know he was your son until just moments ago when he mentioned your name!"
An Mo’s jaw twitched slightly.
Realizing that it was all a complete misunderstanding and that this couple had genuinely saved, healed, and fed his lost cub out of pure goodwill, the icy hostility in An Mo’s eyes finally began to thaw.
"I see..." An Mo murmured, his voice softening slightly as he looked at the couple. "It seems I have misunderstood your intentions.
An Mo didn’t waste another second. He gently stroked Xiao Yi’s soft hair and spoke in a gentle tone, "Your mother is still waiting for you. Let’s go see her right now. You gave her quite a terrible scare, little guy."
Xiao Yi was stunned for a moment, his round eyes blinking fast. Then, he quickly nodded his chubby head like a little chick peeking for food.
"Let’s go, Father Beast! Xiao Yi wants to see Mommy!"
WHOOSH!
Without another word, An Mo’s two pairs of massive, blinding white angel wings spread wide across the sky once again. With a single powerful flap, his divine figure transformed into a beam of radiant light, shooting straight out of the estate and toward the main entrance.
In truth, only An Mo had been able to infiltrate directly into the core of the Flying Heavenly Tiger Clan’s inner grounds!
Outside the grand mountain gates, Su Qinglan and the rest of her powerful beast husbands were still locked in a tense standoff with the clan’s formidable guards.
The Flying Heavenly Tiger Clan was by no means a weak force in the Upper Domain!
Even though Su Qinglan’s group had arrived in a frantic rage to search for the missing cub, the proud tiger elders had mobilized their men, refusing to let just anyone barge into their private territory.
However, An Mo was a completely different story. His terrifying, absolute strength was something no one in the Upper Domain dared to confront head-on!
When he had arrived earlier, he had bypassed the outer defenses and soared straight into the inner grounds, leaving the tiger guards completely helpless to stop him.
