Elder Cang reminisces about An Mo's happier childhood before his parents' deaths. He reflects on how Xuan Long's friendship helped An Mo cope with his grief. Later, a young girl named Duo Duo, whom Su Qinglan recognizes, arrives with An Mo's elder brother, Shen Mochen. Duo Duo excitedly reveals that An Mo considers Su Qinglan his "future auntie" and struggles to catch her, much to the amusement of the adults.

Duo Duo suddenly gasped. She had just spotted the wild, noisy pack of furry cubs playing near the trees!

Her big round eyes lit up like giant searchlights.

Without saying a single word, the little toddler turned around and took off on her tiny, stubby legs, charging full speed toward the cubs like a wild little tornado!

Over near the tree line, Xiao Yi was currently lying on his stomach, happily chewing a blade of sweet grass. He lazily looked up, and his eyes instantly snapped wide open in sheer, unadulterated horror!

HER!

Xiao Yi’s little tiger heart nearly stopped beating. He vividly remembered the last time he encountered this terrifying little toddler! She had squeezed the absolute life out of his ribs, nearly pulling his whiskers off, and had relentlessly tried to ride him like a giant fluffy horse!

Why is this female toddler back?! Where did she even come from?!

Xiao Yi didn’t wait a single millisecond. He let out a tragic squeak, scrambled frantically onto his four paws, and sprinted with all his might straight toward the safety of the main manor!

"Puppy! Big puppy, wait for me!" Duo Duo shrieked in absolute delight. Seeing her target bolt, she pumped her chubby arms and chased right after him with terrifying speed, her pigtails bouncing wildly in the air.

Xiao Yi nearly shed real tears of bitter sorrow as he ran for his life, his little tiger tail tucked tightly between his legs.

"Don’t tell me she still remembers me?!" Xiao Yi screamed internally, dodging left and right along the stone path.

"There are other cubs out there! Look at the lion! Look at the wolf twins! Why are you targeting ME again?!"

Back on the path, Shen Mochen stood completely speechless, watching his daughter furiously hunt down the eldest tiger cub with terrifying dedication.

Shen Mochen had truly never seen his sweet-looking daughter so eager to bully anyone before!

Even though he knew she was secretly a ruthless, tyrannical little force of nature just like her mother used to be...this was taking it to a whole new level.

A heavy, awkward silence fell over the path.

Shen Mochen cleared his throat, looking at Su Qinglan with an immensely apologetic and helpless expression. "I... I am so sorry, my lady. My daughter seems a bit... overly enthusiastic."

Su Qinglan couldn’t help but laugh out loud, waving her hand casually to brush it off. "Oh, please don’t mind it at all, Young Master Shen Mochen!"

She looked toward the direction where Xiao Yi was currently running for his life, her eyes full of amusement.

"Trust me, I know my tiger cub. Xiao Yi won’t be bullied that easily! After all, that little fellow is usually the biggest, most mischievous troublemaker in our house!"

Just as the sound of Duo Duo’s eager giggles and Xiao Yi’s tragic tiger squeaks faded down the stone path, Hu Yan and Han Jue emerged from the shaded forest trail.

Seeing Shen Mochen standing with Su Qinglan and Elder Cang, the two men immediately stepped forward to greet him respectfully.

As they chatted, Hu Yan and Han Jue subtly picked up on Shen Mochen’s aura and bloodline and, more importantly, the subtle mark that indicated he was already mated!

Both husbands secretly let out a huge, collective sigh of relief in their hearts. Thank goodness! Another potential man off the list!

Before long, the afternoon slipped away in the most pleasant manner.

Everyone sat gathered around low stone tables placed upon the lush, green grass, chatting and laughing freely. Only An Mo and Xuan Long were missing...no doubt off somewhere in the manor, still silently glaring at each other or settling scores.

Nearby, the rest of the cubs were rolling on the soft moss, playing tag with the little fairy spirits, and having the time of their lives.

Su Qinglan leaned back comfortably, sampling a delicate array of sweet, heavenly pastries brought out by the kitchen servants.

Each bite melted on her tongue like sweet blossom honey, and she found herself falling in love with the Upper Domain’s cuisine more and more with every second.

"My Lady seems to enjoy the sweets," Elder Cang remarked with a fond, gentle chuckle as he refilled her cup with fragrant flower tea.

"Our estate actually holds thousands of rare varieties of fruits, vegetables, and divine ingredients. The previous madam had a wonderful habit of collecting unique seeds and plants from every domain she ever visited, planting them right here in this forest."

He smiled warmly, a nostalgic light in his eyes. "She was always eager to try creating new recipes for the family."

Su Qinglan nodded softly, her eyes twinkling with delight. It truly seemed like her taste and her late mother-in-law’s taste were a perfect match!

CRACK!

Suddenly, the peaceful, quiet atmosphere shattered.

Hu Yan, who had been calmly enjoying his tea, stiffened instantly. His golden eyes swept over the group of playing cubs, counting them one by one.

One, two, three, four, five, six...

Xiao Yi was missing!

Before Hu Yan could even speak, a low, painful tiger growl echoed from the edge of the nearby garden wall!

ROAR—!

Hu Yan slammed his teacup onto the table and stood straight up, his broad chest rising as his entire body went rigid with tension.

Su Qinglan and the others were stunned by his sudden reaction.

Sensing something was deeply wrong, Su Qinglan and Hu Yan immediately took off running toward the sound, with Han Jue, Rong Ye, Shi Feng, and Shen Mochen close behind them.

When they rounded the corner of the garden wall, the scene before them was truly bizarre!

A brilliant, dazzling golden light had completely engulfed Xiao Yi, swirling around his little body like a sacred, crackling storm! The intense pressure radiating from the light caused the wind to whip around the garden.

Standing right beside the glowing cocoon was little Duo Duo.

Her tiny hands were clutching her cheeks, and big, fat tear drops were streaming down her face as she hiccupped in complete shock, completely terrified by the sudden blinding light!

Next to her, one of the little fairy spirits floated frozen in mid-air, her eyes wide as saucers, staring at the golden light in absolute, speechless horror!
