Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 703: Possessive Snake, Embarrassed Family
Previously on Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off...
A soft, needy sound escaped her throat, muffled against his lips.
Xuan Long’s gaze softened with deep satisfaction, but the dominance in his hold never wavered. He was so much taller, so much larger.
To reach her properly, he had to bend nearly in half, one powerful arm still securely cradling their tiny daughter while the other kept Su Qinglan lifted firmly against his chest. The position was awkward and straining.
Neither of them cared.
The little white snake blinked her large, innocent blue eyes. She tilted her tiny head curiously, watching her parents with pure fascination. She had no idea what this intense, heated exchange meant...only that her father’s presence made her mother glow with happiness.
The entire room had fallen into stunned silence.
Lan Yue immediately clapped both hands over little Mo Xiao Li’s eyes. "Don’t look!"
Mo Xiao Li squirmed in confusion. "But Big Sister and Brother-in-law are only hugging really tightly..."
The three young triplet brothers instantly looked away, their faces burning a bright crimson. They awkwardly cleared their throats and stared intensely at the wooden ceiling, pretending to suddenly admire the craftsmanship of the beams.
"The... the ceiling is very nice today," one muttered.
"Yes... very nice indeed..."
Hu Yan could only chuckle helplessly at the chaos. Han Jue shook his head with a quiet smile.
Rong Ye, however, folded his arms and let out an unhappy snort.
"Hmph. This slippery noodle hasn’t even properly stepped through the door yet..."
"And he’s already showing off how possessive he is. What a showoff."
He immediately marched over to the front row, where the seven little cubs were sitting, watching their parents’ kiss with wide, fascinated eyes.
Rong Ye planted himself right in front of them and hissed, "Now, what did Mommy teach you? Cover your eyes!"
The cubs immediately jolted in surprise before quickly slamming their little furry paws over their eyes, though a few of them secretly peeked through the gaps of their claws.
Rong Ye nodded in satisfaction. "Very good."
Only Shi Feng, who had been watching the entire scene with amusement, rolled his eyes.
"Oh? Weren’t you the one kissing Qinglan senseless last night until her lips were swollen?"
The room went deathly silent again.
Rong Ye stiffened. A faint flush of embarrassment colored his cheeks before he quickly masked it with a glare.
"That’s different!" he snapped. "That happened inside our room. It wasn’t in front of everyone like this snake is doing right now."
He raised his chin arrogantly and pointed straight at Xuan Long. "Showing off in front of the cubs. And look..." He gestured toward Su Qinglan’s younger siblings.
"You’ve made the youngsters blush like ripe tomatoes."
Sure enough, Lan Yue’s entire face was flaming red. The three young beastmen looked like they wanted the floor to swallow them whole. Even Mo Xiao Li quietly tried to pry Lian Yu’s hand away from his eyes.
"...Can I look now?"
"No!" Lan Yue squeaked, pressing her hand back firmly.
Su Qinglan buried her burning face against Xuan Long’s broad shoulder, her heart fluttering wildly.
Xuan Long simply tightened his arm around her waist, holding her even closer to his chest. His expression remained calm and utterly unbothered by Rong Ye’s jealous complaints.
If anything, the corner of his mouth curved in the faintest trace of a smug smile.
He lowered his head, lips brushing against her ear in a low, possessive murmur only she could hear.
"Let them talk."
His voice was dark velvet, sending shivers down her spine. "You are my mate. And I will kiss you whenever and wherever I want."
Su Qinglan’s breath hitched, her cheeks growing impossibly hotter as she melted deeper into his embrace, the tiny white snake still curled contentedly around her finger.
Home had never felt so complete.

The family soon gathered around the dining table once again. This time, the wild, chaotic atmosphere from earlier had finally calmed down completely.
Xuan Long sat quietly in his seat. His tiny, snow-white daughter had already found the absolute most comfortable place in the entire world to rest.
She was hiding deep inside the folds of his thick black robes, with only her little white head peeking out from time to time to blink at the room.
Xuan Long gently stroked her tiny head with the tip of his finger, his movements incredibly slow, careful, and filled with a rare tenderness.
Beside him, Xiao San sat happily right on his father’s lap, his eyes never leaving his new little sister. He carefully stretched out one tiny finger, trying to get closer.
"Little Sister..." he whispered softly. "Can Big Brother touch you?"
The little snake looked at his finger, tilted her head, and then quietly slithered farther into Xuan Long’s robe.
Xiao San blinked. He patiently tried again. The little snake moved away again.
"..."
Xiao San refused to give up so easily. He was absolutely determined to win his little sister’s affection today!
Just as he was about to poke his hand back inside the robe, Xuan Long gently caught his little wrist.
"Don’t disturb her," Xuan Long said softly. "She was only born today. Give her some time, and she’ll get used to you."
Xiao San puffed out his cheeks, looking a little wronged. But seeing his father’s calm, reassuring eyes, he obediently nodded his head.
"Okay..."
He quietly snuggled back against Xuan Long’s chest. He had missed his father so much while he was away at the palace.
Since his father had finally come home, he decided he would be a very good, well-behaved cub. At least for today.
Seeing the warm, sweet scene, Su Qinglan smiled softly and sat down right beside Xuan Long.
"You’re finally back. Did everything go smoothly in the Upper Domain?"
Xuan Long nodded simply. "Everything is fine."
Then Su Qinglan suddenly remembered something important. She quickly looked toward the three young teenage beastmen sitting across from them.
"Oh, right! Xuan Long, these are my three younger brothers from Father Yin Feng."
She pointed at them one by one, introducing them with a proud smile. "The eldest is Yin Chen. The second is Yin Shen. And the youngest is Yin Lie."
Xuan Long looked up, his emerald eyes sweeping over them before he gave a nod.
The three teenagers instantly sat up straight, their spines as stiff as wooden boards.
"Brother-in-law!" they greeted sweetly in unison.
A small smile appeared on Xuan Long’s usually stoic face. He nodded once in acknowledgment.
Then, without saying another word, he reached deep into his robes.
After searching for a brief moment, he pulled out three small, beautifully woven cloth bags and casually placed one in front of each brother.
"A meeting gift," he murmured.
The three brothers froze instantly. "...For us?"
Xuan Long simply nodded.
The three of them looked at each other, then they looked down at the bags on the table.
Finally, they secretly shot a panicked look toward Lan Yue.
Their wide eyes clearly asked her: Should we take them? Wouldn’t that be way too shameless?!
After all, this was their very first time visiting their elder sister’s house.
Normally, according to etiquette, they should be bringing grand gifts for their newborn niece and nephews.
Instead, they had only brought a few simple fruits and small snacks from home, and now their powerful brother-in-law was handing them presents first.
They felt too embarrassed to accept.
