Su Qinglan's medical skills bring joy to many, with pregnant women visiting to thank her for fertility treatments. Meanwhile, the mysterious disappearance of Yue Lian and Rong Yanchen remains unsolved. Xuan Long focuses on nurturing a mysterious white egg, only for An Mo to reveal it doesn't carry the Teng Clan bloodline, a fact Xuan Long dismisses as irrelevant to his child.

Only then did understanding appear in Xuan Long’s eyes.

"Oh."

An Mo almost exploded.

"Oh?"

"That’s your response?"

Seeing Xuan Long’s completely unconcerned expression, he finally gave up trying to argue.

After all, discussing bloodlines with Xuan Long has always been difficult. The man only cared about one thing: whether the cub belonged to him. As long as the answer was yes, everything else became secondary.

Eventually, An Mo settled beside him and looked toward the egg.

Truthfully, he had been curious from the very beginning. The moment he first saw the egg, he had known something was unusual.

Because of that, he had deliberately refrained from placing his blessing upon it. Instead, he had spent the last three days searching through ancient records and forgotten texts.

He wanted to know exactly what kind of bloodline this cub possessed.

One thing was certain. It was undoubtedly a serpent. But what kind of serpent it was remained a complete mystery.

The deeper he investigated, the stranger the answers became.

An Mo rubbed the storage ring on his finger, and a moment later a peculiar object appeared in his hand. It resembled a crude magnifying glass, a rare investigative tool from the Beast World.

Carefully, he held it above the egg.

Immediately, details hidden beneath the smooth shell became visible.

Xuan Long leaned forward. His eyes narrowed slightly.

At first glance, the egg appeared completely white. However, under magnification, faint silver patterns slowly emerged across the shell. The markings were so subtle that they were nearly impossible to notice with the naked eye.

They flowed across the surface like silver clouds hidden beneath fresh snow.

An Mo immediately unfurled one of the ancient scrolls. The moment the illustration inside was revealed, both men froze. The patterns on the scroll were almost identical to those on the egg.

An Mo sucked in a sharp breath. His voice trembled slightly with disbelief.

"I was right."

Xuan Long frowned.

"What is it?"

Instead of answering immediately, An Mo suddenly asked, "Do you know who your mother was?"

Xuan Long paused before slowly shaking his head.

"I never met her."

"Then you don’t know what race she belonged to?"

"No."

An Mo stared at him for several moments before suddenly slapping his thigh. Everything finally clicked into place.

"No wonder."

"It’s the egg of the Moon Spirit Serpent Clan."

The room fell silent.

Even Xuan Long had never heard of such a bloodline before.

"What clan is that?"

An Mo’s expression became unusually serious.

"The Moon Spirit Serpents were one of the most mysterious serpent clans that ever existed. Their scales were pure white, their eyes shone like blue gemstones, and they lived deep within hidden valleys that few outsiders could ever find. According to the records, they rarely interacted with the outside world."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"But there was one exception."

His gaze grew distant.

"They always appeared whenever the God of the Deep descended."

Xuan Long frowned.

"God of the Deep?"

An Mo nodded slowly.

"The Moon Spirit Serpents were known throughout history as companions of the God of Deep. Generation after generation, they would inevitably fall in love with the God of Deep of their era. It happened so often that many ancient gods described it as a curse woven into their bloodline."

The room grew quieter as he continued.

"The Primordial Tide Clan, the clan of the deep god, eventually declined and withdrew from the world because the Moon Spirit Serpents disappeared from the world. No descendants were ever discovered. No survivors were recorded. For thousands of years, nobody has seen a single member of their clan."

His gaze slowly returned to the egg.

"And yet..."

Disbelief filled his eyes.

"A Moon Spirit Serpent egg has appeared."

The more he thought about it, the less sense it made.

"The father is a Teng Serpent."

"The mother is a fox."

"Neither possesses that bloodline."

He stared at the shell.

"So why did this happen?"

Even after days of investigation, he still could not answer that question. So he could only conclude that it must be the bloodline that has been passed down from ancestors.

Then, just as silence settled over the room once more, a faint sound suddenly echoed between them.

Standing quietly at the doorway was Su Qinglan; she was holding a bowl of soup.

Neither Xuan Long nor An Mo had noticed when she arrived. The two of them had been completely absorbed in their discussion about the white egg and the mysterious Moon Spirit Serpent Clan. By the time they sensed her presence, she had already heard far more than either of them intended.

Meanwhile, Su Qinglan’s thoughts were in complete disarray.

Her gaze slowly shifted toward the white egg resting on the beautiful hide before moving to the ancient scrolls scattered around the room. A moment later, her eyes returned to the egg again.

Almost immediately, she felt a headache coming on.

"So this clan only exists for the Primordial Tide Clan?" Her voice was soft, but in the quiet room it sounded startlingly clear.

The moment the words left her mouth, both men froze.

An Mo and Xuan Long slowly turned around. When they saw Su Qinglan standing there, their expressions changed at once.

"...Lanlan."

Xuan Long immediately rose to his feet.

Unfortunately, Su Qinglan barely spared him a glance.

At that moment, her entire attention was focused on the scrolls.

Without hesitation, she walked into the room, gathered every scattered scroll from the floor, and sat down beside the egg. Then she began reading.

Neither An Mo nor Xuan Long dared interrupt her. The room remained quiet as the sound of opening a scroll echoed softly through the air.

As time passed, Su Qinglan’s reading speed became faster and faster.

Fortunately, after living in the Beast World for so long, she had already mastered the beast language. Reading the records posed no difficulty at all.

The information quickly flowed into her mind. And the more she read, the stranger her expression became.

The Moon Spirit Serpent Clan.

The Primordial Tide Clan.

Both clans originated from the Upper Domain.
