In An Mo’s small house, the atmosphere was heavy with tension.

Han Jue stood in front of Su Mingxuan and Wang Mulan, racking his brain for every possible excuse. Cold sweat had already formed on his back. He forced a smile and spoke carefully.

"Tribe Leader, Lan Lan is truly fine. She has just fallen asleep after waking up briefly. Why don’t you return home first? I will personally notify you the moment she wakes up. You can’t keep waiting here forever."

Before Su Mingxuan could reply, Wang Mulan immediately shook her head. Her beautiful face was full of longing and worry.

"No, I will wait here. Why don’t I go and stay with her? I really want to see my daughter’s face," she said softly, her eyes misty with emotion.

Su Mingxuan gently held his mate’s hand and nodded. "Okay. Let’s go see Lan Lan."

Han Jue’s heart sank. His future suddenly looked pitch black.

He absolutely could not let the tribe leader and priestess walk into that house right now.

Hu Yan was still inside with Su Qinglan! He didn’t even know if Xuan Long had managed to stop things or if the situation was still ongoing.

’That damn snake! Did he even warn Hu Yan? How much time has passed already? It’s almost noon!’ Han Jue thought desperately.

He really wanted to rush back and beat both of them senseless.

Shi Feng, seeing the awkward situation, quickly brought out freshly cooked food and placed it on the table.

"Why don’t you eat something first?" Shi Feng said warmly. "You have been waiting anxiously for Lan Lan all this time."

Wang Mulan shook her head again, twisting her fingers nervously.

"Can’t you let us see her? Just for a moment? We really just want to take a look from afar. I promise I won’t disturb her rest."

Her voice trembled slightly. As a mother, her heart was aching with worry for her daughter.

Han Jue looked at her pained expression and felt his own heart twist painfully.

He didn’t want to stop her, but he also couldn’t allow them to walk in on that scene. He was stuck in the middle, suffering the most.

This was all Hu Yan and Xuan Long’s fault! Yet he would be the one blamed for failing to protect Su Qinglan.

He felt like a failure as a mate...both to Su Qinglan and to the promise he made to her father.

Just as Han Jue was about to speak again, Lan Shun, who had stayed silent the whole time, finally stood up. His sharp eyes narrowed slightly as if sensing something was wrong.

"We will go," he said firmly. "We only want to take one look at Qinglan."

He took Wang Mulan’s hand and started walking toward the door.

Han Jue panicked and tried everything to stop them...His mouth was running dry as he gave excuse after excuse, but the couple refused to listen.

They stepped out of An Mo’s house with determined expressions.

At that exact moment, a cheerful and familiar voice rang out loudly from not far away.

"Mother! Father!"

Everyone instantly froze in place.

Su Qinglan came running toward them at full speed, her long hair flying behind her and her face glowing with joy and energy.

Hu Yan and Xuan Long followed closely behind her, trying to keep up.

"Lan Lan!" Wang Mulan’s eyes widened. Tears instantly welled up as she opened her arms.

Su Qinglan rushed straight into her mother’s embrace, hugging her tightly.

"I’m here... I’m sorry for making you worry," she said softly, her voice full of warmth.

Han Jue stood frozen on the side, feeling as if a huge weight had been lifted from his chest. He let out a long, shaky breath.

Thank the heavens.

If they had arrived even a few minutes earlier... he didn’t even dare to imagine the consequences.

Wang Mulan could not stop the tears that instantly filled her eyes the moment Su Qinglan rushed toward her without hesitation and threw herself tightly into her arms.

Her entire body trembled violently as she held her daughter close, almost as if she was afraid that if she loosened her grip even slightly, this beautiful moment would disappear like a dream.

She had imagined this scene countless times over the years, yet when it truly happened, she still felt completely overwhelmed by emotions.

At their first meeting, her daughter had looked at her with rejection and distance in her eyes.

Even though Wang Mulan understood the reason, that pain had still remained buried deep inside her heart like a thorn that could never be removed.

But now, feeling Su Qinglan clinging to her so tightly, calling for her with such longing and dependence, Wang Mulan suddenly felt as though all those years of suffering had finally become worth it.

This was her daughter.

Her very first child.

The child who had made her a mother in this world.

How could she not love her?

How could she not treasure her with her entire life?

Especially after being separated for so many years, after missing every moment of her growth, after failing to watch her take her first steps, speak her first words, or cry into her arms whenever she was hurt.

Every regret surged into Wang Mulan’s chest at once, making her emotions almost collapse completely.

Her hands trembled as she cupped Su Qinglan’s face before pulling her back into another fierce embrace.

Tears continuously slid down her cheeks while she buried her face into her daughter’s hair, breathing in her scent over and over again as if trying to confirm that this was all real.

"My daughter..."

Her voice was hoarse and trembling, filled with endless guilt, love, and disbelief.

"I finally found you..."

Beside them, Su Mingxuan stood frozen in place as he watched the mother and daughter holding each other tightly. His eyes reddened almost instantly, while countless emotions surged violently inside his chest until it became difficult to even breathe properly.

Over the years, he had believed he was protecting his family.

Yet in the end, the people who suffered the most had always been the two females he loved more than his own life.

His mate.

And his daughter.

Thinking about everything that had happened, Su Mingxuan suddenly felt overwhelming guilt swallowing him whole. Su Qinglan had suffered so much under that woman’s schemes, while Wang Mulan had silently endured years of pain and separation beside him.

Yet he had been blind the entire time, foolishly trusting the wrong person while unknowingly hurting the people closest to him.

At that moment, Su Mingxuan truly hated himself.

But when he looked at Wang Mulan crying while holding Su Qinglan tightly in her arms, his heart softened so painfully that it almost made him break down completely.

These two people...

They were the most important people in his life.

The people he was willing to sacrifice everything for.

Without even realizing it, he slowly stepped forward before wrapping both mother and daughter tightly in his arms. His large hands trembled slightly as he held them close against his chest, almost as though he wanted to protect them from the entire world forever.

His eyes had already become completely red, while tears quietly gathered inside them despite how hard he tried to suppress them.

He wanted to cry.

He truly wanted to cry.

But at the same time, his chest was filled with indescribable happiness.

Because after everything they had gone through...

His mate and daughter were finally back in their arms again.
