Asher reveals that his weapon, Virelass, evolved and gained new abilities after consuming the Fruit of Dawn, rather than his own Physique. He shares some details but withholds others, stating his friends can discover the rest on the battlefield. The group plans to explore the Thalvorn Empire before their departure, but Asher declines, having a prior engagement with Arianna Haellight, much to his friends' boisterous amusement and teasing.

Finch immediately froze in place. He cursed under his breath as he didn’t even know when those words had slipped out of his mouth. He had simply been too excited. But he had to defend himself, and because of that, he immediately threw William under the bus.

"Don’t look at me. William was the one who started it," Finch immediately said as he pointed at William.

At those words, Asher’s eyes shifted toward William as though he was about to murder the guy on the spot.

William wasn’t about to sit there and let the blame be passed onto him like a relay baton. He immediately shot to his feet as he spoke.

"Hey, don’t drag me into this. I didn’t even say anything. You were the one who just accused him of swinging the other way, not me," he defended himself immediately.

Hearing William’s words, Asher’s purple eyes shifted back toward Finch, since he was indeed the one who had brought it up.

But Finch wasn’t stopping. "Weren’t you the one who said that Asher hasn’t even looked at anyone since the very first moment you met him in the Canestane Territory during the entrance exam period?" he stated.

William’s expression twisted as he shot back, "I only said that he might be in love with "someone else" since he didn’t even look at the beautiful women all around him," he explained.

"Those weren’t the exact words you used. You said he ignored Princess Vaelra, ignored Ryaen no matter how many times we tried to convince him to ask her out, and he also ignored Darissa, meaning he definitely swung the other way," Finch stated, unwilling to go down alone.

Ryaen’s mouth hung wide open as she gestured to herself for a moment, wondering why these two idiots had decided to mention her name at a time like this. As for Vaelric, he looked just as surprised as he silently watched the spectacle unfold.

Clearly, both Finch and William had been gossiping behind Asher’s back for quite some time now. Which was understandable, considering the two had been best friends since they were little. They were naturally bound to share a bit of gossip with each other.

"Accusations. False accusations," William stated with a deep frown.

Asher sat in silence as he stared at the two of them. He couldn’t help but want to decapitate them right then and there. What the fuck did they mean by saying he swung the other way? Although that reaction sounded excessive, it certainly didn’t feel that way to him at this moment.

He stared at both Finch and William before speaking in a chillingly cold tone, "You’d both better sleep with your eyes open tonight, because you just might die without ever knowing how it happened."

Off to the side, both Vaelric and Ryaen simply watched without interfering, thoroughly enjoying the show unfolding before them.

Asher couldn’t help but sigh as he massaged his temple. He was genuinely about to lose his mind at this point. He had spent almost two years trying to move on from Jennifer, and because of that, he had never once spared another woman a second glance. Yet because of that very reason, these two idiots dared to make such ridiculous accusations against him.

What happened to the days when a man who didn’t constantly stare at every woman who walked past him was considered a gentleman? What happened to treating women with respect instead of seeing them as nothing more than sex toys? What happened to that being considered husband material?

Asher genuinely felt as though he was about to go insane.

He had already told these idiots long ago that he wasn’t someone who slept around with just anyone. But it seemed they definitely hadn’t believed a single word he said. Then again, Asher couldn’t exactly explain his reasoning at the time. After all, he was a soul from Earth, a twenty-first-century world where sexually transmitted infections and diseases were alarmingly common.

And dating Jennifer, who had been a medical student, had granted him access to countless books and a wealth of information regarding such matters on a much deeper level.

Only the Stars knew how many people had died from infections in a world like Crymora. Nowhere did it state that his Absolute Physique could resist STIs or STDs, nor did Virelass possess the ability to cure one.

What exactly was he supposed to do? Get infected just to find out whether Virelass’ new abilities would work?

No thanks.

’Maybe I should break a few bones and limbs... that way they wouldn’t have such stupid thoughts,’ Asher contemplated for a brief moment before sighing and shaking his head.

Just as William was about to speak again, a sharp ding echoed throughout the room. It came from Asher’s phone.

Asher sighed and turned toward it to check the message, but Ryaen was already sitting on the table with his phone in her hand, having gotten to it first while the entire spectacle had been unfolding.

"World Girl, huh? You must really like her," she teased with a smile as she looked through the messages.

Asher’s phone had no password. It had been a habit of his ever since he started dating Jennifer.

Finch, Vaelric, and William immediately rushed over to Ryaen as all three leaned in to look at Asher’s phone. The moment they saw the conversation, they burst into laughter as they continued scrolling through the messages.

"Look at how smooth you were when you asked her out. I didn’t know my boy was such a sharpshooter," Vaelric said as he gave Asher a thumbs-up along with a knowing smirk.

Finch immediately spoke up. "Wait, let’s see what he saved our names as since he named Arianna Haellight ’World Girl,’" he mused.

Ryaen didn’t hesitate. She immediately minimized the chat and opened the contacts list.

"Huh? Why am I ’Fatty Wang’? Finch works just fine," Finch couldn’t help but complain as he once again found himself unable to get used to the nickname.

William didn’t seem to mind his own as he said, "I guess ’Copycat’ speaks for itself."

"And why am I named ’The Arrogant Prince’?" Vaelric complained.

Ryaen shook her head before saying, "’Mama Bones’ is crazy work. People back at the Academy call me the Bone Queen, but I guess you’ve never heard that," she mused.

Asher didn’t even bother replying to any of them. With a single thought, his phone simply vanished from Ryaen’s hand and reappeared in his own. Ignoring the group entirely, he read Arianna’s latest message.

Asher’s fingers danced across the screen as he typed out a reply.

Asher replied like the perfect gentleman that he was, unlike the man-whores Finch and William proudly appeared to be.

Asher opened the live location and saw that Velkarin Hotel Residence was roughly two hours away, and it was already almost one o’clock.

He wasn’t bothered in the slightest. There were no traffic laws or speed restrictions within the Zero Rings, so he could drive as fast as he wanted without worrying about a speeding ticket mysteriously appearing on his windshield.
