CLEAVER OF SIN Chapter 738: Pen [Spacecraft Bonus - ]

FatelessPen noticed the questioning look that crossed Asher’s face. A smirk played on his lips as he spoke again.
"Intrigued, are we?"
Asher offered a nod, making no effort to conceal his curiosity.
FatelessPen began his explanation, "The name originates from my peculiar awakened ability." With a mere flicker of his will, a pen materialized in his grip. "My ability is a soul-bound pen. Quite straightforward, wouldn't you agree?" he inquired, his gaze locking with Asher's.
Asher remained quiet. He wasn't exceptionally surprised. While accustomed to individuals manifesting various soul-bound weapons as their abilities, he was aware of exceptions like Elder Morthen, whose awakened abilities deviated from conventional weaponry. FatelessPen, it was evident, fell into this latter category.
"My soul-bound Pen grants me the power to manifest anything I draw into reality," FatelessPen elaborated on the power tied to his unique artifact. "Provided I have sufficient Astra Energy, I can essentially bring any drawn object to life." His voice swelled with a distinct sense of pride. The very world was his personal canvas, and he was the artist, unbound, painting his creations upon it.
"For instance, I could conjure an entirely new Sky Jet into existence in less than a heartbeat," FatelessPen declared, a confident smirk gracing his features.
Asher paused, his silence speaking volumes. Though no words escaped his lips, he grasped the sheer, unbelievable might of such an ability. Should FatelessPen choose to depict the sun imploding, a second sun could theoretically materialize and erupt with precisely the same devastating force and chaotic energy. If the man's Astra Energy reserves were vast enough, he might even draw novel planets or perhaps entire galaxies into being.
Asher shuddered at the thought of the terrifying assaults FatelessPen could unleash with such an outrageous gift.
"Doesn't that imply you could essentially draw money out of thin air?" Finch's voice suddenly interjected from the side, his merchant's mind immediately connecting FatelessPen's capability with immense wealth and unending profit.
FatelessPen offered no verbal reply. Instead, a subtle shimmer emanated from the pen in his hand, and in the very next moment, a cascade of platinum coins clattered onto the aircraft's floor.
A collective gasp of astonishment rippled through the group.
The man, it seemed, would never need to labor another day. He could simply sit back and endlessly produce currency for the remainder of his days.
However, no one felt compelled to voice this obvious conclusion. They all understood that absolute power and true strength transcended mere monetary value.
"Are there any limitations to what you can manifest?" Asher inquired, picking up one of the platinum coins. It felt undeniably solid and real in his grasp. He could already discern that this was not the type of item that would simply vanish once the ability was no longer active.
"Hoo!!! Already probing for my weaknesses? How bold of you!" FatelessPen quipped with a smile, deliberately sidestepping the direct question. It was universally accepted that every ability harbored some inherent flaw or constraint. These were typically left for others to uncover rather than being openly disclosed by the user.
Just as Asher prepared to voice another question, a colossal tentacle violently slammed against the Sky Jet with dreadful force and terrifying might. While the students registered the jarring impact, the aircraft's integrated defensive systems effectively nullified any actual damage.
"It appears my intervention is required," FatelessPen remarked with casualness. "Our discussion can resume once we reach the Thalvorn Empire." With his characteristic smirk still in place, he dematerialized from his spot, instantaneously reappearing outside the Sky Jet.
Asher and the other students instinctively gravitated towards the windows, eager to witness the impending confrontation. Below them lay an unending expanse of ocean, from which had emerged what could only be described as a gargantuan, high-ranking Octopus beast.
FatelessPen displayed no outward reaction to the monstrous entity before him. He simply made a subtle gesture with his soul-bound pen, as if imbuing an attack with existence itself.
In the ensuing moment, Astra Energy erupted from his Astra veins, causing the vast ocean beneath to churn furiously. It swirled into a colossal vortex of water, imbued with immense crushing power and a barrage of countless water blades, all converging upon the Octopus.
Before the creature could even register a proper response, it was swiftly obliterated, reduced to mere shreds of minced flesh by the sheer devastating force of the assault.
FatelessPen hovered serenely above the ocean's surface, his expression utterly impassive. It had required less than a single second to annihilate a monster of Void-class standing.
He cast a brief glance at the ocean, now stained a deep crimson from the creature’s spilled ichor, and then vanished once more.
Witnessing the entire massacre unfold, Asher could only shake his head inwardly. The inhabitants of Crymora truly possessed an astonishing array of abilities. He silently offered his gratitude to the Stars for granting him the Star Core Fragment in the first place.
Time passed with surprising swiftness thereafter. The other Instructors paid no mind to the students, remaining exclusively on the uppermost deck of the Sky Jet throughout their voyage. The students, in turn, frequently commuted between their current level and the resting deck above, with many dozing through the bulk of the journey. Others found themselves drawn to the culinary delights offered by the Sky Jet's services, spending considerable time on the kitchen floor.
Over the course of the long week, they faced numerous assaults from monsters, beasts, and even Emovirae. Initially, the students were understandably on edge, apprehensive of the persistent dangers. However, after only a few hours, they gradually grew accustomed to the situation, as FatelessPen effortlessly repelled every single threat, preventing any creature from even approaching the Sky Jet.
As the arrival date loomed ever closer, the students' anticipation naturally reignited. Once seven full days had elapsed, nearly everyone stayed awake, unwilling to miss the pivotal moment of entering another Empire.
Asher, meanwhile, dedicated the entire week to either solitary contemplation out his window, casual conversations with his companions, or deep, undisturbed sleep. He had inquired about the presence of a training chamber aboard the Sky Jet but was disappointed to find none, having hoped to undertake some cultivation during the journey.
Suddenly, a resonant voice echoed throughout the lower decks of the Sky Jet.
At these words, the students' eyes instantly ignited with the thrill of adventure.
Asher, however, remained by the window, already observing the myriad lights of the Empire spread out below, stretching limitlessly into the distance like a celestial tapestry upon the land.
The Sky Jet commenced its slow descent, preparing for its landing.
