CLEAVER OF SIN Chapter 1133: Day Of Departure Arrives [GT Ranking Bonus - ]

Arianna stared at the back of her palm, where Asher had kissed it, for a moment, then sighed and shook her head before turning away, but a faint smile could be seen on her face. For now, she would be going back into training. After a week, she would join the Military Force as Asher had suggested.
With that in mind, she lowered her body into a stance as she started going through the holes that Asher had exploited during their spar. Although she had defended some of these attacks, she took note of them.
As she buried herself in a week of training, Asher appeared within his room yet again. He stood in silence for a second or two, then smiled as he turned towards the window. He opened it and let the night breeze flow in. It was already late at night; he had spent a couple of hours sparring with Arianna, as their spar didn’t just end in minutes.
He sat on the ledge and stared out at the world for a moment. The day was approaching its end, and he had spent today perfectly. He had sparred with her, although he couldn’t help but feel guilty after that last attack he used against her.
"One last sleep and one month of cultivation," he murmured to himself and turned away from the window.
He stepped into the bathroom. His body was covered in sand, so he needed a bath and couldn’t just change into his pajamas. He spent half an hour in the bathroom before stepping out. He put on his clothes and simply went straight to sleep without eating, as he had had his fill for the day.
The next morning swiftly came. He woke up and headed towards the Wargrave Training Facility, as he would be doing his cultivation training there. He entered without Zarek’s help this time, made his way to the Altar of Souls, dropped his blood on the Altar of Souls, and named Astra Vein Cultivation.
Asher looked forward to meeting Runera again.
’That’s right, I was supposed to look into Runera,’ he thought to himself.
He was supposed to do so the moment he got back from the Orchid Auction House, but it had slipped his mind after Arianna called for him. He sighed and decided to check on it on the last day before he and Lyra left.
To Asher’s disappointment, the Altar of Souls didn’t send out anyone to test him this time, which was understandable since he wasn’t exactly going to do any intensive training. It had only flashed with purple light as though reading his Life Rank.
After a moment, Asher stepped into another familiar room, then moved to the Astra Veins Cultivation Room, which was the only room present this time, as all other training rooms had vanished as though they were never there. He couldn’t help but grow curious about what his siblings’ training rooms would look like.
People like Thalric, who had Decay, or even Olivia, who had the Time affinity, their own training rooms were bound to be insanely unique. He shook his head and decided to step in and stop having useless thoughts.
Entering, the Astra energy seemed to have spiked more than before, as though the Wargrave Training Facility understood what he needed. Asher simply sat down and immediately started his cultivation. Two weeks passed. He rose, stretched, had a meal, then dove back into cultivation.
As a month completely passed, his eyes fluttered open as the deadline he had given Lyra had finally arrived. He yawned as he rose to his feet. He was really feeling sleepy at the moment; he had only slept once throughout the training.
Although he hadn’t broken through to the next sub-Life Rank, he was extremely close. With his current passive cultivation speed, he would break through in a week or so.
He turned around and left the Astra Veins Cultivation Room, then left the Wargrave Training Facility totally. From the forest, he entered the Wargrave Estate. As he headed towards his room, he spotted Lyra standing at his door, who seemed to have returned early in the morning as though she didn’t want to go over the timeline she was given.
"Good afternoon, Young Master," she greeted with a bow, as it was already 1 p.m.
Asher nodded his head as he spoke, "I’m hoping you had a perfect month, Lyra."
Lyra smiled as she rose. "I had more than a perfect month, Young Master," her tone gentle and respectful as always.
Asher nodded. He didn’t ask about the skills and whatever she acquired. That knowledge and information was for her and her alone. If there ever came a time when he needed one of her skills or abilities, he was sure she would talk about it then.
"We would speak later. Right now, I’m simply too exhausted and need sleep," he spoke as he yawned again. "Unlike you, I’m not a Crownstar Life Ranker yet," he added in finality.
Lyra gave a small smile as she watched Asher open the door and vanish into his room. Asher didn’t spend time doing anything else. He didn’t even take off his clothes and simply collapsed upon the bed and dozed off.
Lyra, who was standing outside, stepped in, careful not to wake him up. She took off his clothes and shoes, as Asher was simply too deep into sleep to notice.
Asher stirred awake. He rose with another yawn as he stretched from a good sleep. His eyes shifted towards the window; it was dark outside.
’Hey, system, what’s the time?’ he asked.
[...]
[Sighs, it seems the system’s thought about already having a good relationship with the Host and no longer being used as a clock was simply wishful thinking.]
Asher, who had just woken from sleep, stared at the message and shook his head. He was simply too groggy to have this conversation with the system.
The system, receiving no reply, chimed once more with a defeated mechanical tone.
[The time is 4:38 a.m., Host]
’It seems the day to depart has finally arrived,’ Asher thought to himself as the grogginess he felt vanished instantly.
He swung his feet to the side of the bed as he rose. The day he and Lyra were supposed to leave had arrived, and there was nothing keeping them here anymore.
Although there were minor things he had to do, like speak to Azaron, for example, then read a book on Runera, which would probably take only a minute or two, and choose which Frontier he and Lyra would head to, although he already had plans to choose either Second Great Elder Morgana’s or Third Great Elder Damian’s Frontier.
He would have gone to First Great Elder Morthern’s Frontier, but he wasn’t sure the man had one, as the man spent all his days and years in the library doing nothing but acquire new abilities endlessly.
’Let’s get the day started, shall we?’ Asher thought to himself, then moved to pack his clothes into his space ring.
As he walked, he couldn’t help but think about and imagine the Frontier, what would happen, and the likes. But most of all, he only looked forward to the battles, and nothing more.
