CLEAVER OF SIN Chapter 1003: Water Clone [GT Ranking Bonus - ]
Previously on CLEAVER OF SIN...
Back at the battlefield, before Azaron’s battle ended, various battles were still going on.
The Sixth Sun, Ezekiel Wargrave, could be seen moving with blurring speed as he took on three Voidstar Life Rank opponents by himself. His soul-bound weapon was a staff which rotated in his hands as he slammed it into a man with the letter ’W’ carved into his forehead.
’W’s reaction was instantaneous, his spear blurring upwards as he blocked with the shaft of his weapon, the impact unleashing a storm of wind pressure that erased everything within a thousand-kilometer radius. ’W’s body skidded backwards as the force of the attack pushed him.
He couldn’t help but feel that the Wargraves were too outrageous. He was personally at the Pulse Voidstar Life Rank, just a step away from the Radiant sub-Life Rank, yet someone at the Dust sub-Life Rank of the same realm was matching him, which was supposed to be impossible.
’M’ closed the distance, she leaped onto ’W’s shoulders and leaped forward, her whip crackling towards Ezekiel’s chest.
But Ezekiel simply blurred as he dodged, but the moment he did, the whip followed. It tracked his path as she swung it endlessly from the air. Ezekiel’s body turned into a blur, each attack passing just a centimeter away from landing on him.
The next moment, the whip locked around his staff. He immediately moved to pull his staff back and draw ’M’ forward, but before he could do that, ’R’ shot upward from below, his body phasing from the ground as he jumped onto Ezekiel’s back and locked him in place.
’M’ and ’W’ didn’t hesitate. They closed the distance in a blur, Astra energy pushing their speed even further as they moved. A spear tore towards Ezekiel’s chest, while a dagger from ’M’ closed in for his neck, aiming for decapitation.
The next moment, both attacks connected as ’M’s dagger tore through Ezekiel’s neck, his head floating into the air, while ’W’s spear tore through his chest. But before they could even rejoice at the thought of killing a Wargrave, they saw it.
Instead of blood, water was dripping from Ezekiel’s corpse.
The next moment, sensations of death gripped the three of them. Their abilities immediately flared in rapid succession as they moved to get away from the fake corpse as fast as possible, but it was futile, as the next moment Ezekiel’s water clone erupted with a cataclysmic water explosion that slammed into the three of them with an oceanic, crushing impact.
Everything within five thousand kilometers was reduced to absolute apocalypse as water drenched the entire battlefield. Trees were snapped back before being shattered into splinters, chunks of earth were torn off the ground as ravines could be seen everywhere, and the battlefield became a flood.
But ’W’, ’R’, and ’M’, even with their injuries, didn’t dare remain. They blurred backwards as they pushed their abilities to the brink before they finally arrived at another battlefield. They stood upon trees, not daring to let the water touch them as they even dried the water on their bodies.
"Looking for me?" Ezekiel’s voice came from above.
The three Alphabets snapped their heads towards the sky to see the Sixth Sun sitting on what appeared to be a cushion made out of water. He stared at them with a smile on his face as he had been watching the entire ordeal from above without personally making a move.
"How about we kick things up a notch, yeah?" Ezekiel asked with a smile on his face.
His Astra energy stirred as the next moment the sky itself seemed to liquefy as millions of water constructs appeared above him, blotting out the entire sky, their edges gleaming.
The three Alphabets’ faces twisted as the next moment, their own abilities came to life. Wind erupted around ’M’, earth rose from ’R’s feet, forming a barrier, while ’W’ used vines to protect himself. The moment they did, Ezekiel’s attack came like a rage from the Heavens itself as it tore downward in endless madness while he just sat back and watched.
Various explosions rang out as each water construct struck their defenses, then was swatted to the side before exploding. The moment the last water construct connected and was deflected to the side, the three Alphabets removed their barriers as they knew the rain of attacks had ended.
But the moment they removed the barriers, Ezekiel gave a wicked smile as, the moment the Alphabets appeared again, he simply snapped his fingers, and with that, the water below their feet that had been formed from the destroyed water constructs shimmered, then erupted as a titanic explosion followed yet again, engulfing everything in dust and destruction.
Ezekiel remained in the sky as he just watched. Although the scale of his attacks reached five thousand kilometers, he wasn’t foolish enough to believe that these three had been killed. Voidstar Life Rankers weren’t so easily killed.
And just as he had thought, through the smoke and debris, the three Alphabets appeared again, their bodies uninjured as though the attack hadn’t even reached them. They simply stared at him with wickedness in their eyes.
As Ezekiel stared back, the next moment a spear tore through his back, erupting from his chest as he remained in the sky and on his aqua throne. He turned behind him, and there stood ’W’, whose body now came into view.
He didn’t have only the vine ability but also the ability to manipulate Light.
Ezekiel didn’t panic. He had already guessed this. Besides, the attack didn’t work on him, as his entire body had turned to water the moment ’W’ stabbed him, hence he received no injuries.
How couldn’t he sense the thrust coming? Was his senses, honed through various battles, a joke? Although ’W’ had made himself invisible, it was still useless, as invisibility didn’t erase sound. Besides, he knew that ’W’ possessed Light affinity when the others, who had been injured from the explosion of his water clone, were no longer injured.
Ezekiel vanished from where he stood, his body appearing above ’W’ as his staff spun in his hand. Without a shred of hesitation, he brought it down on the man’s head.
Light filled ’W’s spear as he retaliated, and with a boom, the sky shook under the intensity of water and Light. The next moment, both of them vanished as they left the ground in totality. As they blurred through the sky, perfect footholds appeared at the points in space where their feet were about to land, as neither of them possessed the ability to fly.
’R’ and ’M’ moved, their forms ascending into the sky, but Ezekiel didn’t care. He simply waved a hand, and two water clones appeared and rushed towards both of them.
Seeing Ezekiel being distracted for a split second to create water clones, ’W’ immediately created an orb of Light, and the next moment, the orb exploded in blinding light that blinded Ezekiel.
’W’ didn’t waste the opportunity as he immediately closed the distance, but the moment he did, Ezekiel’s Astra energy stirred as he created water tentacles that numbered in the tens, their size growing larger immediately, and with a thought, he unleashed a barrage of indiscriminate attacks with enough power to destroy kilometers with ease.
’W’ didn’t dare continue his advance as he immediately blurred backwards through the sky, his body coming to a stop upon another Light foothold he had created.
But the moment he stopped, Ezekiel was there as he closed the distance in a blink, his staff blurring as it slammed into ’W’s chest with wicked force.
’W’ was stunned. He had never expected Ezekiel to close the distance at this particular moment, as he had been waiting for the Sixth Sun to release the water tentacles he had created. But what he never anticipated was that Ezekiel was never blind and was just pretending.
Blinding people was one of the tactics Light affinity users liked using. There was no way Ezekiel was falling for such a rookie move.
With a smirk, he vanished from where he stood. The moment he did, crescent wind attacks tore through wherever he had been, as ’M’ seemed to have the space to attack his real body and take on the water clone.
But Ezekiel ignored her. He simply chased after ’W’, who was shooting downward from the sky like a bullet as he moved to end this guy first.
