Yang Zhenshan expressed concern over Yu Qingyi cultivating a potentially risky technique from the Wanhua Demon Court. Despite his worries, Yu Qingyi insisted on practicing the Spiritual Implantation Technique, finding it suitable for her growth and to keep pace with Yang Zhenshan. After three years, her abilities improved significantly, allowing her to command a hundred Treemen, and she began researching military formations to enhance their combat capabilities.

As trade with the Ten Thousand Treasures Store and Hengshan Sect flourished, the Spirit Source Land acquired a vast amount of first-order and second-order resources.

Having resources means cultivation can be enhanced quickly.

With abundant resources, the cultivations of everyone kept improving, and many martial artists broke through to the Golden Body Realm, while many Golden Body Realm martial artists began to close-door practice, aiming to break through to the Divine Soul Realm.

Of course, the number of Immortal Cultivators also increased, with the growth rate of Foundation Establishment Cultivators surpassing that of Divine Soul Realm martial artists.

The Spirit Source Land continued to develop, but outside, in the real world, conflicts still persisted.

In the Wanhua Mountain Range, although the Unpredictable Ghost Sect changed their tactics, intending to conquer gradually, their war with the Wanhua Demon Court did not cease.

Most of the Tree-man Army retreated to the Demon Ruins, but some were stationed by the Demon Emperor in various parts of the central Wanhua Mountain Range as the defensive forces of the Wanhua Demon Court.

However, it’s the Demon Clan battling the Unpredictable Ghost Sect now; the current warfare resembles the war of attrition from years ago, just on a much smaller scale.

In any case, the Unpredictable Ghost Sect and the Wanhua Demon Court are constantly at war, always fighting over territory in the Wanhua Mountain Range.

As for other areas, conflicts still continue.

In the Wanhua Western Region, however, two forces are emerging; one is the Spirit Deer Clan, which occupied the Spirit Vein of the Nether Prison Sect, and also seized many Spirit Veins deep in the Yunxiao Mountain Range. As a foreign Demon Clan, the Spirit Deer Clan is not welcomed, but due to their formidable strength, the forces around the Yunxiao Mountain Range dare not provoke them.

The other is in the Southern Wilderness, where a sect force named Ancient Beast Sect suddenly emerged, unifying the Immortal Cultivation World in the Southern Wilderness within just a few short years.

...

Inside the Longevity Hall.

Yang Zhenshan looked at Yun Xi with some confusion, "What is the background of this Ancient Beast Sect?"

Previously, he had not heard of the Ancient Beast Sect; had it not been mentioned by Yun Xi today, he would not have known about such a sect.

Yun Xi also joined White Jade City, and with Yun Xiao’s connection, Yang Zhenshan naturally would not shut her out.

Moreover, Yun Xi’s cultivation is also not low; she is now in the late stage of Foundation Establishment, and is considered a standout among the many Foundation Establishment Cultivators in the Spirit Source Land.

Also due to Yun Xiao’s connection, Yun Xi faced no tests after joining White Jade City, allowing her to freely enter the Spirit Source Land and the Yang Family Blessed Land, where the trade between Spirit Source Land and the Sea of Spirit was also entrusted to her.

"I don’t know either. I only gathered some information from the Sea of Spirit, saying that the Sect Master of the Ancient Beast Sect is a Golden Core True Monarch, and several Immortal Cultivation Families in the Southern Wilderness have joined the Ancient Beast Sect," Yun Xi replied.

The appearance of the Ancient Beast Sect was quite peculiar. Although the Southern Wilderness had several Immortal Cultivation forces, its Cultivation World was far inferior to the Yunxiao Mountain Range in terms of the number and strength of Immortal Cultivators.

Logically speaking, it should be difficult for the Southern Wilderness to produce Golden Core cultivators.

Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard, lost in thought.

Is there truly no Golden Core cultivator in the Southern Wilderness?

There shouldn’t be.

However, the Southern Wilderness seems to have an existence equivalent to a Golden Core cultivator.

The Demon King Five-tailed Vicious, whom he had once encountered.

Years ago, Five-tailed Vicious escaped from the Wanhua Mountain Range, initially wanting to settle in the Yunxiao Mountain Range, but because of Yang Zhenshan’s intervention and persuasion, it seemingly went to the Southern Wilderness.

If it was indeed him who established the Ancient Beast Sect, then it all makes sense.

This would mean that another Golden Core power has emerged in the Wanhua Western Region.

With White Jade City, Hidden Sword Mountain, Cangyu Mountain, the Spirit Deer Clan, and now the Ancient Beast Sect, the Western Region, which once had no Golden Core cultivators, now boasts five Golden Core powers, having over ten Golden Core cultivators and Demon Kings.

This is truly unpredictable!

"If it’s this figure, he’s an old acquaintance of mine. Should I go to see him?"

Yang Zhenshan is inclined to befriend Five-tailed Vicious.

Although he doesn’t know much about Five-tailed Vicious, making any overtures now may not be suitable, it doesn’t prevent him from making contact first, and if it seems appropriate after the interaction, building relations wouldn’t be too late.

"I understand. You may go back to your tasks!"

Yang Zhenshan dismissed Yun Xi, thinking things over for a while, and eventually decided to visit his old acquaintance.

He flew from the Yang Family Blessed Land southward, heading straight to Cui Lake in the Southern Wilderness.

Cui Lake is also a Blessed Land, similar to the Sea of Spirit, though much smaller, so it is merely a lake.

Cui Lake hasn’t been peaceful these years; it was originally the Fang family’s territory, later occupied by the Cloud Traveling White Crane Clan, then the Tree-man Army repelled the Ghost Soldiers Army, and the Cloud Traveling White Crane Clan returned to the Wanhua Mountain Range.

The Fang family thought they could reclaim their territory, but then the Ancient Beast Sect emerged, not only taking over their territory once again but also forcibly assimilating them.

The Fang family is out of luck, though not the unluckiest.

The Southern Wilderness used to have seven Immortal Cultivation Families, now only four remain, as three were eradicated by the Ancient Beast Sect.

Compared to the three families that were annihilated, the Fang family is undoubtedly fortunate.

Of course, primarily because the Fang family is perceptive, knowing when to advance and retreat, having the ability to endure and yield when facing strong enemies.

Arriving above Cui Lake, Yang Zhenshan hovered in the clouds, gazing down at the emerald-like lake surface.

The area still belongs to the Wanlin Mountain Range, with Cui Lake resembling a green emerald embedded amidst the rolling hills.

The Ancient Beast Sect’s base is here, although it has no Guardian Array, it can’t obstruct Yang Zhenshan’s probe nor prevent him from entering Cui Lake.

Still, to avoid misunderstandings, Yang Zhenshan paused outside Cui Lake.

Releasing a subtle hint of aura, a not-so-familiar figure soon approached him.

Five-tailed Vicious glanced at Yang Zhenshan, expression cold, "What are you here for?"

He obviously remembered Yang Zhenshan, but his demeanor didn’t suggest a warm welcome.

Yang Zhenshan studied him. He looked different from the last time when Five-tailed Vicious was in his beast form, whole body fiery red, his build like a leopard, unicorn on the forehead, five tails, and fierce face with three-inch tusks, looking ugly and bizarre.

Now Five-tailed Vicious stood eight feet tall, clad in a crimson robe, with the unicorn still on his head, but his countenance appeared square and resolute, not handsome, yet not ugly.

His tails vanished, replaced by five short blades upon his back.

"Visitors are guests; shouldn’t you invite me in?" Yang Zhenshan said pleasantly.

Five-tailed Vicious looked at Yang Zhenshan coldly, "Coming uninvited doesn’t make you a guest!"

"We’ve known each other long enough; no need for such coldness!" Yang Zhenshan grinned.

He hadn’t feared Five-tailed Vicious before, certainly not a concern now.

But what was Five-tailed Vicious’s cultivation level?

Yang Zhenshan still couldn’t discern Five-tailed Vicious’s cultivation.

Five-tailed Vicious’s expression eased slightly at the comment, yet his tone remained icy, "Speak directly; I don’t wish to waste time with you!"

Yang Zhenshan pondered briefly, "I wanted to make friends with you frankly!"

"Make friends?" Five-tailed Vicious eyed Yang Zhenshan, "You’re barely eligible!"

"..."

Yang Zhenshan considered him somewhat arrogant, but he was patient and wouldn’t argue with such powerless arrogance.

"Forget it. Since you won’t invite me indoors, let’s find a random place to chat!"

With that, he flew towards the mountain range below.

Yang Zhenshan landed on a fairly flat mountain top, shaping stone into a table and chairs, setting tea and Spirit Fruit.

"Please sit!" Yang Zhenshan invited.

Five-tailed Vicious did not refuse further, seating himself opposite.

"Honestly, I’m curious about your background. To my knowledge, there’s no Demon King like you in the northern Wanhua Mountain Range!" Yang Zhenshan said while pouring tea.

After encountering Five-tailed Vicious, he had investigated, confirming that no such Demon King like Five-tailed Vicious visibly existed in the northern Wanhua Mountain Range.

"It’s your lack of knowledge!" Five-tailed Vicious retorted.

"Hmm, where do you come from then?" Yang Zhenshan asked out of curiosity.

"Water Flood River." Five-tailed Vicious stated.

Yang Zhenshan was taken aback, "Are you that flood dragon?"

The Water Flood River is a major river in the Wanhua Mountain Range, flowing north, joining Beihai.

Beside the Water Flood River lies an Immortal City known as Qinglin Immortal City, the homeland of Kou Ta and Hong Fuxiu.

Rumor has it there’s a flood dragon in the Water Flood River, with Qinglin Immortal City’s builder being a friend of this flood dragon; the exact time of Qinglin Immortal City’s establishment remains unknown.

Now, Qinglin Immortal City has become a desolate place, specifically since the Unpredictable Ghost Sect first took over the northern Wanhua Mountain Range, turning Qinglin Immortal City into an abandoned city, its cultivators either fleeing or being slaughtered by the Ghost Soldiers Army.
