Alden witnesses a fierce battle between two powerful dragon women. He suspects one is the same traveler he met in the Flux Dungeon and resembles Amyra. Alden decides to intervene by launching a surprise attack to gather information, successfully wounding the orange-haired dragon.

"Who are you? And how dare you interfere in the sacred coming-of-age ceremony of the Dragons?"

The orange-haired woman snapped at him as Alden slowly stepped out from the trees. The leaves of his makeshift clothing fluttered in the wind as he put on the most haughty expression he could manage.

"It is you who must answer, arrogant dragon."

He deliberately lowered his voice, trying to sound as ancient and unimpressed as possible.

"How dare a mere lizard disturb this King’s slumber? I am the Lord of these mountains, awakened by the commotion you have caused within my territory."

He took another step forward.

"Have the Dragons forgotten my wrath?"

In reality, Alden was throwing out complete bullshit and hoping something stuck and the woman would be caught off guard.

"Have your ancestors not taught you how to greet your elders?"

Another step.

"Where is that timid elder of yours who promised me that the Dragons would not disturb my sleep as long as I allowed your younglings to play in my backyard?"

Honestly, even Alden had no idea what he was talking about anymore but from everything he had observed so far, this place appeared to be some kind of sacred land belonging to the Dragons and he had somehow crashed some coming of age ceremony of theirs.

More importantly...

The woman before him was far too difficult to defeat head-on. She had survived one of his strongest attacks with nothing more than a severe wound and that alone told him everything he needed to know.

So his goal was simple.

Get closer and then launch another surprise attack before she realized what he was doing. It was far more efficient than fighting her directly.

At the same time, he subtly channeled mana into his eyes as the golden glow within them flared slightly and the Eyes of Supreme activated. An invisible predatory pressure spread outward, causing his presence to appear even more terrifying in the dragon woman’s perception.

"What are you talking about? What mountain? What King? Who the hell are you?"

The woman wasn’t stupid. Even if she had been caught off guard by Alden’s unwavering confidence, she wasn’t foolish enough to immediately believe his absurd claims.

She knew this land had belonged to the Dragons for thousands of years. She knew there had never been any mention of a mysterious Lord of the Mountains and yet... As Alden continued walking toward her with absolute certainty in each of his steps, a small seed of doubt began to form.

The hesitation lasted barely for a moment but that single moment was all Alden needed as he he continued forward.

Soon, only a few steps separated them. His sword was nowhere to be seen because he had sent it back to his core since he didn’t want to alert her.

Moreover, ever since his battle with Cedric, his understanding of Sevenfold Ruins had fundamentally changed.

Back then, he had gained a moment of enlightenment about how a weapon was merely a medium and if a sword could carry his intent, then so could his body.

He had unlocked the fourth steps of his weapon art because of that enlightenment back then and ever since then, Sevenfold Ruins no longer needed a weapon.

While the Sword of Chaos undoubtedly amplified its power, it had become an enhancement rather than a necessity.

Which meant...

Alden himself was now the weapon.

The woman sensed that something was wrong as she was about to lunge at him but Alden had already prepared for that.

His clenched fist was brimming with mana as he lowered his stance slightly before unleashing everything he had.

"Sevenfold Ruins — Fourth Step — Absolute Weapon-Body Convergence!"

And—

"Sevenfold Ruins — First Step — Ruinous Severance!"

He activated both simultaneously as the woman’s eyes widened but the perfectly timed burst of mana moved Alden’s fist far beyond what she could react to as his fist crashed into her stomach.

The impact lifted her several inches off the ground before an explosive shockwave erupted outward and the woman was launched backward like a cannonball.

She tore across the forest floor, skidding through the earth before crashing through dozens of trees and still, her momentum barely slowed.

Alden’s condition wasn’t much better as his right arm was completely mangled, the flesh had split apart in multiple places and the entire limb hung limply at his side.

He had miscalculated one thing.

During his battle with Cedric, his body and mana had been perfectly balanced. Back then, using his body as a weapon had almost no recoil but now, however, things were different.

The quality and quantity of his mana far exceeded what his body could handle. So the moment he unleashed Ruinous Severance through his fist, the destructive Eclipse Mana rampaged through his arm.

The attack had injured its target but it had nearly blown up his arm in the process.

"Fuck!"

Alden cursed.

Still, that amount of pain wasn’t nearly enough to make him lower his guard as his eyes immediately tracked the woman.

She had finally come to a stop nearly a kilometer away, her body was bloodied and broken but somehow she was still alive.

Meanwhile, the woman slowly pushed herself off the ground, her entire body trembling with rage.

"How dare you? How dare you try to deceive me, the heir of the great Aurumscale Family?! You will pay dearly for this, intruder!"

She glared at Alden and prepared to charge.

Alden immediately summoned the Sword of Chaos into his left hand as his right arm was completely useless now but before either of them could make another move, a flash of white appeared behind the orange-haired woman.

A slender estoc pierced cleanly through her neck.

The orange-haired woman’s eyes widened as she turned around slowly but before she could look at her killer, her body was engulfed in white light as she vanished.

Alden’s gaze immediately shifted to the figure standing behind her. Snow-white hair, ruby-red eyes with a single horn curling around her head and a face that had an uncanny resemblance to Amyra.

It was the white-haired dragon girl, the same woman who had been thoroughly outmatched just a few moments ago and was being toyed with by that orange haired woman.

But she had used the opening Alden created and the moment her opponent lowered her guard she had delivered the killing blow.

She turned towards Alden next, her bloodied estoc extended towards him now while her expression was cold as she spoke.

"Who are you?"
