The Dragon Tree Buddha is pursued by Ye Yun, but he believes he can escape by merging with his numerous clones. He descends underground to gather strength, but his progress is slow. The Dragon Tree Buddha then attempts to communicate with the Buddha Flame Root, realizing they both remember the Ancient Realm, and that the Formless Tree originated from there.

The true homeland of the Formless Tree resides within the Ancient Realm.

It's a place shrouded in mystery.

This particular world is immense and awe-inspiring, where countless races coexist, and formidable beings are in abundance; each race is endowed with exceptionally potent and mystical abilities.

At one point, the Ancient Clan launched an invasion into the vast Divine Land, driving its inhabitants into a desperate retreat.

Had it not been for the timely assistance of the Dragon Clan from the Hidden Dragon Continent, the Divine Land would have undoubtedly fallen under the dominion of the Ancient Clan by now.

Its roots, since being severed.

Through a twist of fate, the Dragon Tree Buddha acquired a sliver of purple Buddhist light, thereby receiving the legacy of the Infinite Light Buddha Lord.

Since commencing his cultivation of the Buddhist path, the Dragon Tree Buddha has dedicated himself entirely to Buddhism, seldom reflecting upon his past.

For a considerable duration, he has perceived himself solely as a Buddha.

And not as the Formless Tree.

Under the tutelage of the Honored One within the Infinite Buddha Country, he immersed himself in Buddhist doctrines for close to ten million years, never once harboring thoughts of the Ancient Realm.

The Dragon Tree Buddha acknowledges that following the severing of his roots, a karmic linkage with Buddhist law began to form.

Having found entry into the realm of Buddhist law, he harbors no regrets concerning this existence.

"Hmph, you monk, boldly proclaiming yourself the Divine Land’s foremost Purple Buddha, yet should you venture back to the Ancient Realm, how many would gleefully mock you?"

Observing the Dragon Tree Buddha’s silence, the young man clad in simple attire let out a scornful laugh.

"I have no desire to return to the Ancient Realm. If the urge arises, I can discard this physical form at any moment and depart from the Divine Land, rejoining the Infinite Buddha Land once more..."

The Dragon Tree Buddha articulated slowly.

As he spoke, his eyes shimmered with brilliance, as if millions of shadowy purple divine Buddhas were in a swirling dance.

The young man in plain clothes, struck by a degree of astonishment, inquired, "The Infinite Buddha Land, what sort of place might that be?"

"A higher echelon of Buddhist realms..."

The Dragon Tree Buddha responded with a soft tone.

He gazed upon the young man in plain clothes, a flicker of hope in his eyes, stating, "I have no intention of debating destinations with you; my concern is the present... now that Yinfuti is relentlessly pursuing us, should they compel me to depart, you alone would stand no chance against them!"

The Dragon Tree Buddha candidly aired his thoughts.

"And so what? Even if they were to slay me, I possess innumerable avatars!"

The young man in plain clothes scoffed.

"An avatar remains an avatar; the body is the body. I surmise that individual is not as foolish as to carelessly destroy your physical form, but rather will devise a method to exert control over you, and subsequently, over all your avatars!"

The Dragon Tree Buddha declared with firm conviction.

"Control me?"

The young man in plain clothes appeared to have stumbled upon a startling realization, his countenance draining of color in sheer shock.

"Indeed, if they manage to seize control of you, wouldn’t that scenario be far more terrifying than simply ending your existence?"

The Dragon Tree Buddha posited.

"That is certainly true..."

The young man in plain clothes lowered his gaze, his voice deepening with gravity.

At this precise moment.

The wildness that had possessed him began to recede, much like an ebbing tide.

Seizing the opportune moment, the Dragon Tree Buddha earnestly implored, "I have managed to integrate some of my avatars, thereby bolstering my strength, yet this progression is agonizingly slow. I believe you possess some means to compel these avatars to serve me, do you not?"

"I can!"

The young man in plain clothes affirmed with decisive resolve.

"Excellent!"

The Dragon Tree Buddha's heart swelled with joy upon hearing this affirmation.

This was precisely his ultimate objective for entering the Sea of Knowledge World of the Buddha Flame Root, and his aspiration had finally been realized.

The young man in plain clothes, his eyes now blazing with sharp intensity, stated nonchalantly, "However, you must permit me to assume command of our shared physical vessel!"

"Permit you to command?"

The Dragon Tree Buddha paused, momentarily taken aback, a flicker of hesitation crossing his features.

The Buddha Flame Root existed in an unstable state, with the potential to descend into utter madness at any given instant. What if, upon gaining control, it were to lose its senses completely?

"What grounds are there for hesitation? You have already established your roots in the Infinite Buddha Land; this physical form holds little significance for you. Furthermore, I am lending my aid to confront Yinfuti; a reciprocal exchange of the body – is this not a fair bargain?"

The young man in plain clothes derided with a wry smile.

"What you articulate... holds merit! However, I require that he be captured alive; you must refrain from ending his life!"

The Dragon Tree Buddha declared with solemnity.

At this juncture, he resolved to embrace a gamble.

As the Buddha Flame Root had accurately conveyed, he was merely a fragment of a divine essence, a mere projection that had descended. His true Buddhist form remained ensconced within the Infinite Buddha Land.

The relinquishment of this physical manifestation would not represent a substantial loss for him.

If it meant facilitating the fulfillment of his ultimate wish, he was prepared to entrust this physical body to the Buddha Flame Root.

After all, the Buddha Flame Root was, in essence, not an external entity.

"Rest assured, your condition shall be met!"

The young man in plain clothes offered a chilling smile.

The Dragon Tree Buddha let out a soft sigh, ceasing his efforts to suppress the Buddha Flame Root, and simultaneously released his control over their shared body.

A young man clad in simple attire emerged, his presence instantly filling the body.

"Wow, this feeling of completeness is indeed something else, far more potent than before! Heh heh... Truly worthy as the Formless Tree, one of the four divine trees of the Ancient Realm!" the young man in plain clothes remarked with a grin, a hint of wildness flashing across his features. He abruptly altered his course, heading southeast.

"What's going on with this fellow?" Ye Yun, who had been in pursuit of the Dragon Tree Buddha, suddenly detected that something was amiss. The Buddha Intent that had permeated the Dragon Tree Buddha seemed to have undergone a transformation. It was as if he were an entirely different individual.

"It appears the Buddha Flame Root has forcibly taken over his physical body..." Ye Yun pondered internally. Logically, the Dragon Tree Buddha, possessing profound attainments in the Buddhist path, should not have been overcome by the Buddha Flame Root. Yet, this astonishing event had transpired. This suggests that perhaps a clandestine agreement had been reached between them. Regarding this abrupt shift, Ye Yun remained unconcerned. Whether it was the Dragon Tree Buddha or the Buddha Flame Root, they were both targets for Ye Yun. Neither could possibly escape.

With this realization, Ye Yun offered a disdainful smile and resolutely continued his pursuit of the Dragon Tree Buddha. Along the way, he observed something else peculiar. Throughout their journey, he had not witnessed any manifestations of the Buddha Flame Root's avatars being assimilated and integrated by the Dragon Tree Buddha.

"Intriguing..." Ye Yun seemed to be on the verge of a revelation, yet he simply offered a faint smile. They continued their flight for a full seven days. During his traverse, the Dragon Tree Buddha suddenly flickered and vanished into the depths of the earth. Ye Yun arrived at the forefront, unleashed his Divine Sense to scout, and discovered a formidable formation obstructing the path ahead.

"Break!" Ye Yun launched a sword strike, and with a resounding boom, a breach was created through the grand formation. Ye Yun then proceeded to fly inside.

Meanwhile, at the heart of this extensive formation lay a colossal altar. This altar, colored a deep crimson, spanned tens of thousands of feet in diameter, its surface engorged with intricate, diverse runes. At this precise moment, the altar pulsed with brilliant light, and above the void, intense spatial disturbances continuously manifested. The Dragon Tree Buddha stood at the central point. He spread his arms, his expression one of wild abandon, seemingly orchestrating the arrival of something.

Ye Yun materialized like a phantom just outside the altar. "Such a formidable formation, and it couldn't stop you?" The Dragon Tree Buddha observed Ye Yun, a look of astonishment etched on his face. This potent defensive array had utterly failed to fulfill its purpose. It truly caught him by surprise.

Buzzing... Light flared, and the void vibrated intensely. A God King Expert emerged from the void, descending directly upon the Dragon Tree Buddha. Without a moment's hesitation, the Dragon Tree Buddha seized that God King Expert, integrating him into his own being. The Super Divine Dragon Breath surged forth. Subsequently, the second and third God King Experts emerged from the void, absorbed by the Dragon Tree Buddha.

"Haha, so you are summoning your avatars. A most convenient summoning; if you gather them all, it will save me the trouble of hunting them individually..." Ye Yun held his Longsword inverted, suspended in the void, a smile playing on his lips. The Dragon Tree Buddha remained speechless.
