HISSS!

Hundreds of golden threads, like venomous snakes bursting from their holes, attacked the black-armored man.

Underneath the thick cover of black fog, they were as hard to notice as phantoms...

Fortunately, his Divine Sense wasn’t completely suppressed. The black-armored man’s expression changed abruptly as he quickly registered the sudden attack.

"Get lost!"

He roared furiously, a dense black light surging all over his body.

At this moment, a large silver saber appeared in his hand. The saber had a thick spine, a broad blade, and was impressively long. As he roared, a ferocious saber light swept out.

This torrent of saber light was fierce and swift, like a celestial river cascading down, colliding with the golden threads in the dense fog.

BOOM!

When they met, a massive explosion sounded.

Almost all the golden threads were severed, and the remaining parts quickly retracted.

Big Black Cat smirked, having unconsciously changed how he referred to the man.

This realization immediately extinguished Big Black Cat’s nascent thought of competing with this ’Stupid and Naïve’.

At this moment, Cat Gem’s expression turned to horror, and she urged him repeatedly, "Big Brother, hurry and leave! Once that guy goes mad, no one can withstand him!"

"Scared of him, my fur?" Big Black Cat retorted grumpily. "You’re just bolstering the enemy’s morale and undermining our own. I really feel like throwing you to that giant flower for it to eat!"

Cat Gem turned as pale as a sheet. Thinking about that terrifying giant flower, she quickly explained, "Big Brother, that flower is a Giant Demon Yam Flower! Once it drags you into its bud, you’ll be corroded by the demonic liquid inside and instantly dissolve without a trace left. You absolutely mustn’t do that..."

Big Black Cat was slightly stunned. However, upon hearing the name ’Giant Demon Yam Flower,’ he shivered.

Just as he was thinking this, the black-armored man charged toward the Giant Demon Yam Flower like a madman.

A heavy blade light suddenly flashed in mid-air, fiercely slashing towards the Giant Demon Yam Flower.

"You dare attack me, you damn thing? Go to hell!" the black-armored man roared angrily. His body was enveloped in an ink-black light, yet his saber light was as bright as silver, illuminating a patch of the thick black fog.

The Giant Demon Yam Flower seemed to understand the danger.

In an instant, countless golden threads surged out from within its bud, like myriad long snakes shooting forth.

BOOM!

The seemingly invincible saber light struck the golden threads, severing an untold number.

SQUIRT!

Just as most of the threads were severed, a copious amount of thick liquid suddenly spewed from inside the bud.

The liquid was an oily black and emitted a nauseatingly pungent smell.

Seeing this, Cat Gem actually clenched her fists and laughed. "Hee hee, this ’Stupid and Naïve’ is going to have a hard time now!"

Big Black Cat narrowed his eyes and coldly asked, "Would you be happy if your fiancé died here?"

"Of course, I’d be happy! I don’t want to marry him at all!" Cat Gem stated confidently.

In the pitch-black environment, her eyes were as bright as sapphires.

And Big Black Cat’s eyes were much the same.

As fellow felines, their eye colors were remarkably similar.

Hearing Cat Gem’s heartless words, Big Black Cat let out a cold chuckle and licked his lips.

"Big Brother, what are you laughing at?" Cat Gem asked sweetly, turning to look at Big Black Cat.

Big Black Cat raised an eyebrow. "I’m laughing at how heartless you are. Such a ’Stupid and Naïve’ guy, and so strong—you don’t find him attractive at all?"

"I don’t like the strong and rugged type," Cat Gem said with a grin. "I prefer those who are handsome with refined features, charming, and intelligent..."

"Are you talking about me? Why do I get the feeling I’m the person you’re describing?" Big Black Cat scratched his head and said, somewhat shamelessly.

After saying this, he chuckled again before Cat Gem could even speak.

Big Black Cat was smug.

"I..." Cat Gem hadn’t finished her sentence when, in the dense fog, the black-armored man, who had been suddenly attacked by the black liquid, came rushing toward them.

The jet-black glow around his body dissolved by at least half the instant it came into contact with the black liquid.

The surface of his fists was even burned by the liquid, exposing the bones on the back of his hands.

"Good! You pair of adulterers, daring to flirt right here! I swear I’ll kill you both!" The black-armored man, hearing their conversation as he flew toward them, became enraged, drew his saber, and slashed.

Cat Gem’s face turned pale again.

She knew this ’Stupid and Naïve’ too well.

Once he went berserk, he recognized no one, not even family, and no one could stand against him.

"You ’Stupid and Naïve’ fool! I’m going to steal your girl, just to piss you off, you bastard!" Big Black Cat laughed loudly, grabbed Cat Gem, and activated his Teleportation Boots.

In an instant, he transformed into a streak of black light and darted into another passage.

WHOOSH!

A flash of saber light cut through the void but hit nothing.

The black-armored man landed, his eyes filled with an incredibly sinister look as he watched the spot where the two had disappeared.

He glanced back at the Giant Demon Yam Flower and, seeing it wasn’t pursuing him, a flicker of relief appeared in his eyes.

Thinking back now, he still felt a lingering fear.

the black-armored man muttered to himself, then flashed towards the direction Big Black Cat had gone.

the black-armored man cursed inwardly as he chased, the anger in his heart erupting like a volcano.

Although their Golden Striped Black Tiger clan possessed certain speed-enhancing Divine Skills, they were still somewhat inferior to avian types.

After chasing for the span of a few breaths, he completely lost sight of his targets.

The Nine Soul Underground Palace was a labyrinth of twisting passages; a single entrance could lead to many tunnels. If one didn’t keep up, tracking them again would be incredibly difficult.

HMPH!

He snorted. Just as he was about to punch the black stone wall beside him, he noticed a faint golden light flickering in an inconspicuous corner.

The black-armored man’s eyes widened, and he flew over quickly.

Within the golden light, a small, palm-sized blade of grass swayed, emitting a faint immortal glow.
