BTTH: DISCIPLE CASHBACK SYSTEM Chapter 610: Qing Lin Breaks Through to Dou Huang!

“Xiao Jin, your thoughtfulness truly knows no bounds.”
Qing Lin’s eyes softened significantly upon hearing Xiao Jin’s innocent words. She softly caressed his head.
At his current stage of development, Xiao Jin was much like a human child of seven or eight, heavily reliant on and yearning for his parental figures. While Gu He was his master, Xiao Jin perceived him as a father figure. Having been apart for an extended period, Xiao Jin's longing for Gu He brought him back for a visit.
“Xiao Jin, I intend to return as well, to see Master, my Mistress, and the little one,” Qing Lin replied with a gentle smile.
“Wonderful!”
Xiao Jin’s face lit up with joy as he nodded at Qing Lin’s words. With the formidable Dou Zun expert, Venerable Tianhuo, leading the way, their journey’s speed was magnified tenfold compared to their previous pace. A return trip would be concluded swiftly.
“Senior Yao, are you not capable of spatial traversal? Pray, escort us through the void; it will surely expedite our journey!” Having settled her decision, Qing Lin turned to Venerable Tianhuo with a playful grin.
“Indeed! Indeed! Indeed!”
Venerable Tianhuo readily accepted Qing Lin’s proposal, nodding his assent with great enthusiasm.
In the following instant, he extended his hand, slicing through the air before them. Swiftly, a gaping spatial rift, several dozen feet across and cloaked in darkness, tore open in the fabric of space.
“Let’s proceed, you two young ones!”
As the colossal spatial rift manifested, Venerable Tianhuo conjured two gentle streams of Dou Qi, forming protective cocoons around Xiao Jin and Qing Lin.
Considering Xiao Jin’s present cultivation level, traversing a spatial channel posed minimal risk. However, to ensure both he and Qing Lin could maintain accelerated speed, Venerable Tianhuo’s aid guaranteed their arrival at the Yunlan Sect in under a day.
With the protective energy surrounding both Xiao Jin and Qing Lin secured, Venerable Tianhuo stepped into the rift, drawing the pair along with him. In moments, their trio vanished from the skies, and the immense, unsettling spatial fissure began its gradual closure.
…
Eight hours later, a sudden reappearance occurred above the Yunlan Sect, specifically within the sect’s main hall, as Venerable Tianhuo materialized with Xiao Jin and Qing Lin in tow.
Gu He had already anticipated their return. His soul power allowed him to detect any formidable presence within the entirety of Yunlan Mountain and even extending dozens of miles beyond its perimeter. No significant power could evade his acute perception.
The very moment Xiao Jin and Qing Lin materialized within the hall, Gu He appeared, accompanied by Xiao Yuchen.
“Master, I have returned!”
Upon entering the hall, Qing Lin’s voice rang out with an unreserved loudness.
The tone of her voice caused Gu He a moment of surprise.
Previously, Qing Lin had always spoken with a soft, almost timid demeanor—never with such exuberance and unrestrained joy.
“This young lass… after a year immersed in the outside world, she has blossomed into a more spirited individual!” Observing Qing Lin’s radiant smile and vibrant energy, Gu He felt a surge of emotion. “It seems certain lessons cannot be imparted; they must be learned through personal experience.”
“Master!”
Following Qing Lin’s greeting, Xiao Jin chimed in with a wide, delighted grin.
“Brother Gu,” Venerable Tianhuo offered a respectful cupped-fist salute to Gu He.
“It is truly wonderful that you have all returned. Your return is most welcome!” Seeing the three figures now present in the hall, Gu He’s face broke into a broad smile.
“Sister Qing Lin, you are finally back!”
At that very moment, a voice, recently matured beyond its childish lilt, echoed through the hall.
Qing Lin and the others had been absent for nearly a full year. By now, Xiao Yuchen had reached the age of about eighteen months. Under Yun Yun’s tutelage, her speech had become fluent. When Qing Lin had departed, Xiao Yuchen was not yet even a year old, yet she had already etched Qing Lin into her memory. During Qing Lin’s absence, Xiao Yuchen had often thought of her.
“Oh my, Xiao Yuchen, you still recall Sister Qing Lin?”
Qing Lin’s smile widened upon hearing Xiao Yuchen’s greeting. She moved forward quickly, and seeing this, Xiao Yuchen released Gu He’s hand and scampered toward Qing Lin.
“Of course, I remember! We played with Cai’er together back then!” Xiao Yuchen stood before Qing Lin, her large, dark eyes fixed on her—an image of pure adorableness.
The recollections from seven or eight months of age were evidently sharper than those from infancy. Xiao Yuchen could still vividly remember Qing Lin after nearly a year, though recalling Xiao Yixian, Han Yue, Nalan Yanran, Xiao Yin, or Xiao Xue proved considerably more challenging.
However, a faint image persisted in her mind: a white silhouette personally adorning her wrist with a white-and-green bracelet. That bracelet remained with her even to this day. Each time she beheld it, the image would resurface in her thoughts, though with the passage of time, the figure within that vision grew increasingly indistinct.
Qing Lin chuckled softly at Xiao Yuchen’s response and declared, “Since you’ve been such a sweet child, this time I shall let you share in all the treasures I have gathered!”
With that declaration, Qing Lin procured a substantial mound of trinkets from her storage ring, arranging them across the floor before the wide-eyed Xiao Yuchen.
While a portion of these treasures appealed to Qing Lin's own tastes, they had primarily been gathered with Xiao Yuchen in mind from the outset.
"(⊙o⊙) Wow! So many awesome things!" Xiao Yuchen exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement at the collection of over a hundred small trinkets. He then eagerly began to sift through them.
"Sister Qing Lin, I'd like this one, and this one, and this one as well..."
...
Qing Lin and Xiao Jin did not linger at the Yunlan Sect for an extended period. After three days, they, along with Venerable Tianhuo, recommenced their journey towards the headquarters of the Mercenary Guild.
Within those three days, Qing Lin once again was the recipient of a cultivation transfer from Gu He, culminating in her advancing her power to the Dou Huang level.
Among Gu He's disciples, Qing Lin stood out due to her remarkably young age and her significantly later start in cultivation. Having trained for only a few short years, reaching the Dou Huang realm was an absolutely astounding accomplishment. And this was merely the prelude; as time progressed, her cultivation rate would far surpass that of the average individual.
