Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World Chapter 2270: Blood Qi and Strength

Previously on Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World...
The Valley of the Sacred Elephant proves to be a treacherous domain, inhabited by formidable Crazed Elephants known for their overwhelming strength. Zhao Hai, undeterred by the valley's ferocity, braves the outer region and meticulously searches for the coveted essence gold. After days of scouring, he finally uncovers a promising ore, igniting his hopes for future access to this valuable resource. Observing the behaviors of the Crazed Elephants, he identifies an aging individual that may be confronted with its final days, hinting at a potential opportunity amidst the valley's inherent dangers.

Zhao Hai trailed the elderly elephant for three consecutive days, during which time the pair traversed tens of thousands of kilometers. Under normal circumstances, any other cultivator attempting such a trek would have long since encountered a frenzied elephant at the Teleportation Stage.

However, thanks to Zhao Hai’s unique divergent ability, the crazed elephants remained oblivious to his presence. This allowed him to maintain his pursuit of the old elephant without being detected.

One factor contributing to Zhao Hai’s stealth was the relatively small size of the elephant herds they encountered. Furthermore, the old elephant appeared to be following a specific route designed to bypass other groups. Only a few unavoidable herds were met along the way. While the elephant’s gait seemed leisurely, its actual pace was quite formidable; covering ten thousand kilometers in a mere three days was anything but slow.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon on the third day, a hill featuring a cave appeared before Zhao Hai. The entrance was unremarkable, standing roughly ten meters tall and five meters wide, appearing quite ordinary at first glance.

Despite its plain appearance, the cave piqued Zhao Hai’s interest. A potent aura emanated from within the opening. Even though this energy wasn’t being consciously projected, its raw power was undeniable.

The sensation radiating from the cavern was that of intense Qi and blood. This aura of vitality surged toward the heavens, seemingly powerful enough to alter the very color of the sky.

At that moment, the old elephant came to a halt. Zhao Hai suddenly felt a spiritual force reaching out toward him. It wasn’t an aggressive surge, but rather a gentle contact similar to the method the old white ape had used to communicate with him previously.

Startled for a moment, Zhao Hai quickly realized the old elephant’s intent. He immediately linked his own consciousness with the spiritual force to establish a connection.

“Young Man, step forward. You have trailed me all this way; was it not to discover this location? Now that we have arrived, what is the point of remaining hidden?” A weary, ancient voice echoed within Zhao Hai’s mind.

Zhao Hai’s eyes widened, but he moved swiftly, appearing in front of the old elephant. He offered a respectful bow and spoke, “I greet the Elder. My following you was born strictly of curiosity. I had heard rumors that when elephants face their end, they journey to a hidden land. I simply wished to see it and have no desire to desecrate the remains of the Crazed Elephant Clan. I hope the Elder does not misunderstand my motives.”

The old elephant fixed Zhao Hai with a gaze and gave a cold snort. “If it were mere curiosity, why persist for so long? Do you assume that because I am nearing death, I lack the power to deal with you? How could a human at the Soul Fusion stage possibly comprehend the true might of my Crazed Elephant Clan?”

Zhao Hai responded hastily, “Elder, if you are willing to trust me, I can bring you to a place where your vitality can be restored. Though it would mean leaving the True Spirit Realm, I can promise that you will not perish.”

The old elephant’s clouded eyes studied Zhao Hai for a long duration before he finally spoke. “I neglected to mention that I am a Crazed Elephant of the Condensing Spirit Stage. I have lived for more years than I can count and have encountered many humans. Most are consumed by greed, lusting after everything they see and desperate to find this sanctuary. Yet, I do not sense that greed within you. Perhaps you mask it skillfully, but it no longer matters to me. I choose to trust one last time.”

“I shall accompany you. However, should you prove to be a liar, I will tear through the fabric of space to return here, regardless of where you take me. If that happens, you will suffer the combined fury of the entire Crazed Elephant Clan. Young Man, do you still wish for me to go?”

A faint smile touched Zhao Hai’s lips as he heard the elephant’s words. “Senior, after you,” he replied. With a wave of his hand, he tore open a spatial rift nearby. He wasn't concerned about the rift being noticed, as the overwhelming aura from the elephant graveyard was more than enough to mask the fluctuations of the Space.

The old elephant glanced at the shimmering rift and walked slowly inside. Zhao Hai followed, and the portal snapped shut behind them. Immediately, a notification rang out: “Hostile entity detected by the Space. Commencing pacification. Pacification successful. Elephant-type lifeform identified. Genetic structure is near-perfect. Extracting genes and integrating them into all elephant-type beings within the Space. Integration successful. Subject’s life force is critically low. Does the Host permit the entity to die?”

Zhao Hai answered instantly, “No. Do not let him die.”

The system replied, “Request confirmed. The elephant’s death will be deferred until the Host decides otherwise.” The voice faded into silence. Zhao Hai turned to the crazed elephant and said, “Senior, you see I did not deceive you.”

The old elephant looked around and let out a long sigh. “My thanks, Young Master. Furthermore, your current Cultivation is still quite low. You should practice at the Sacred Elephant Mountain. By absorbing the blood Qi of the mountain, you can harness the power of the Sacred Elephant, allowing your strength to reach incredible heights.”

Zhao Hai was taken aback by the suggestion. He looked at the old elephant and asked, “You want me to cultivate on the mountain? Wouldn't that bring harm to such a sacred place?”

The old elephant shook his head. “It is not destruction. The Sacred Elephant Mountain holds a massive reservoir of blood Qi, which is a treasure in its own right. It remains hidden for now, but if the secret were ever out, countless powerful experts from various races would descend to claim it. Such an event would lead to the total annihilation of the Crazed Elephant Clan, as we cannot defend against the entire realm.”

“However, given your unique physique, Young Master, you are capable of absorbing this blood Qi. Once it is gone, the Sacred Elephant Mountain will no longer be a target, ensuring the safety of my kin. It would take an eternity for the clan to amass such energy again. By taking this power, you are actually performing a great service for us.”

Confused, Zhao Hai asked, “Is that truly the case? Why doesn't the Crazed Elephant Clan simply use the blood Qi themselves instead of letting it sit there?”

The old elephant sighed deeply. “Very few of our kind even know this place exists. We are guided here by our bloodline only when our time is up. We do not visit otherwise. This blood Qi is a beacon for other races, but it does not serve the living members of the Crazed Elephant Clan.”

Though still somewhat puzzled, Zhao Hai believed the old elephant had no reason to lie. He nodded and said, “Very well, I will return to the mountain to cultivate. But are you certain my body can handle the absorption?”

The old elephant nodded firmly. “Take as much as you can. Any other person would likely explode from the pressure of such blood Qi, but your body, Young Master, is capable of enduring it.”

Zhao Hai gave a final nod, then waved his hand to transport the old elephant to the area where the other elephant species lived within the Space. In the next instant, he reappeared at the Sacred Elephant Mountain.

He didn't rush inside but stood at the entrance to inspect the cave. Visually, the cavern was unremarkable. However, Zhao Hai found that his spiritual force could not penetrate the interior. The blood Qi was so dense that it acted as a physical barrier, blocking any mental scanning attempts.

Stepping slowly into the cave, Zhao Hai was met with a startling sight. Spread out before him were mountains of white bones, each one as translucent as jade and as polished as fine ivory.

These skeletal remains were perfectly preserved and filled every corner of his vision. Zhao Hai could sense the potent blood Qi pulsing from every bone. He knew that if he were to refine these remains, he could create top-tier artifacts of immense power. He was essentially standing in the middle of an incomparable fortune.

Nevertheless, Zhao Hai had no intention of disturbing the dead. While the bones were premium materials, the Space already possessed resources of a similar grade. If he needed to craft bone-based weaponry, he had plenty of other options.

Finding a quiet spot, he sat down and began to slowly circulate his spiritual Qi. He merged his spiritual force with his Qi, curious to see how his body would react to the environment.

As he tapped into the surroundings, a tidal wave of power surged into his frame. Zhao Hai felt as though his body were a balloon being inflated at a violent speed.

He finally understood the old elephant’s warning. If a normal cultivator—even one with a Diamond Body—attempted to absorb this blood Qi, they would be overwhelmed instantly, resulting in their body bursting under the pressure.

Zhao Hai, however, was an anomaly. His cells had evolved through various divergent abilities. Every single cell in his body possessed the ability to crystallize, which not only fortified his defenses but also massively expanded his capacity to hold energy. His storage potential wasn't just ten times greater than a normal person’s; it was hundreds or even thousands of times more vast.

Zhao Hai immediately took control, directing the incoming blood Qi into his cells. The energy flooded his system with violent force, yet his cells managed to soak it up with steady efficiency.

He could feel his very essence becoming saturated. Every cell thrummed with newfound power. As the energy was integrated, both his spiritual Qi and spiritual force began to skyrocket. This wasn't a dangerous overload; instead, his overall strength was beginning to climb at an incredible, almost terrifying pace!
