Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World Chapter 2264: Fighting One After Another

Upon reaching the base of Gale Canyon, Zhao Hai paused in surprise. The valley floor was completely devoid of vegetation, consisting only of sand and rock. Strangely, these stones and grains of sand emitted a soft white glow that served to light up the canyon depths.
Surveying his surroundings, Zhao Hai noticed several stunted trees that appeared to be in a state between life and death. He gathered samples of the soil and stones to be analyzed by the Space. The results showed nothing extraordinary; the materials simply contained unique substances that granted them their bioluminescence.
After collecting the samples, Zhao Hai scanned the area. He could sense that flora had once flourished here, but the terrain had been flattened by the scars of endless combat.
Zhao Hai gave a bitter smile. It was no wonder humanity was often compared to a virus; the level of destruction they wrought was certainly no less severe.
Confirming he was alone, Zhao Hai pressed onward. The light intensified the further he traveled. Due to the sheer width of the canyon, the towering cliffs could not block the sun, and plants gradually began to reappear in his path.
Simultaneously, Zhao Hai began to notice white bones scattered along the ground. While some belonged to beasts, many were clearly human remains. His expression darkened at the sight. Given the sheer volume of skeletons, it was obvious that this canyon served as a massive graveyard for an untold number of cultivators.
Suddenly, the whistling of the wind caught his attention. Zhao Hai halted as a figure appeared before him. It was an Earth Monarch who looked to be in his forties, dressed entirely in black robes with matching hair. He carried a long black sword, appearing dark from head to toe.
The Earth Monarch scrutinized Zhao Hai before breaking into a sudden grin. “I never expected a Soul Fusion Cultivator to venture into Gale Canyon. You have guts. Fortunately for me, I didn't expect such luck today. Kid, hand over your storage equipment and I'll let you live.”
Zhao Hai stared back at the man and replied, “If I kill you, I will also get your items.”
The man in black robes erupted in laughter. “Good, very good. This is the first time a Soul Fusion brat has dared to speak to me like that. Kid, I’m going to sever your limbs and dump you into an ant’s nest.” With those words, he drew his black sword. In an instant, a sword shadow streaked toward Zhao Hai.
Zhao Hai reached for the blade strapped to his back, his gaze fixed warily on his opponent. Seeing this, the black-robed man sneered inwardly. He increased his speed, causing the air to fill with a multitude of sword shadows. The blade was a matte black that reflected no light. As he attacked, the sheer number of shadows made it impossible to distinguish the real blade from the illusions.
Zhao Hai watched coldly as the man drew closer. He realized the Earth Monarch was attempting to disorient him with the flurry of sword shadows.
However, the enemy had clearly underestimated Zhao Hai’s capabilities. The black-robed man lunged forward eagerly, already imagining his blade piercing Zhao Hai’s throat.
A flash of cold light erupted. The arrogant smirk on the black-robed man’s face suddenly froze, replaced by a look of pure shock. He tried to look down to see why his throat was burning, but his eyes rolled back as he lost consciousness forever.
A fresh corpse now lay before Zhao Hai. With a quick wave of his hand, he sent the fallen cultivator into the Space to be transformed into an undead servant.
Continuing his journey, Zhao Hai found the path ahead becoming wider. Trees and plants grew more frequently, though they were all common species not worth his interest.
As he walked, the echoes of a distant struggle reached his ears. He paused briefly but didn't let it deter him. He kept moving, and within a hundred meters, a blood-curdling scream rang out. Zhao Hai knit his brows and headed toward the source.
After another two hundred meters, voices drifted toward him. One man laughed loudly, saying, “Hahaha! Excellent. That’s the fifth one today. We’re going to be wealthy!”
“Big Brother, we should have come to Gale Canyon sooner. The income from one year here matches three years elsewhere. After a few more hunts, we can leave and purchase high-quality pills.”
“Wait, someone is approaching. It’s just a Soul Fusion brat. Hahaha! Another fat sheep! Today is truly our lucky day!” Following the voice, Zhao Hai felt a surge of Qi fluctuations as five figures surrounded him.
Zhao Hai looked at the group in surprise. All five were body cultivators standing nearly two meters tall. Every one of them was an Earth Monarch. They carried unusual weapons—ten heavy hammers in total.
Drawing his blade, Zhao Hai looked at them and asked, “Why are you blocking my path?”
“Hahaha! Kid, you’re incredibly foolish to wander here with only Soul Fusion Stage strength. But you’ve made this grandpa happy. Surrender your storage equipment and I might spare your life. If not, don't blame me for being ruthless.”
Zhao Hai scanned the five men and suddenly barked, “Kill!” He lunged toward one of them, catching the group off guard. The man facing Zhao Hai stared in shock for a split second before retreating hastily, raising his hammer to intercept Zhao Hai’s blade.
Though momentarily stunned, the other four quickly recovered and began swinging their hammers at Zhao Hai.
They soon realized, however, that pinning Zhao Hai down was impossible. Using his movement technique, Zhao Hai proved to be an elusive target. No matter how they swung, he evaded them with ease, nearly causing the attackers to strike their own comrade whom Zhao Hai was pursuing.
Frustrated by their inability to land a hit, the five suddenly realized they were being herded by Zhao Hai’s blade. Instead of them surrounding him, it felt as though he was surrounding all of them.
Enraged by this realization, one of them shouted, “If we don't get serious, we’ll be a laughingstock. Big Brother, let’s do it!”
“Fine! Five Thunder Formation!” At the leader's command, the five shifted their movements. They employed strange footwork while swinging their hammers in circular patterns, creating the distinct roar of wind and thunder. Zhao Hai watched with interest, realizing they were utilizing a combat formation. He did not dare be careless, increasing his speed to intensify his assault.
Suddenly, the man in the center of the formation glowed with a purple light. A bolt of purple lightning shot directly at Zhao Hai.
Zhao Hai stared at the incoming purple lightning, sensing the massive power behind it. The ‘Big Brother’ laughed mockingly, “Kid, our Five Thunder Formation generates tribulation lightning. Let’s see you dodge this!”
Instead of retreating, Zhao Hai moved forward to intercept the bolt. As the lightning struck him, grins appeared on the faces of the five attackers, expecting him to be reduced to a pile of ash. To their horror, the lightning simply vanished into Zhao Hai’s body without causing any harm.
The five stood frozen in shock. Zhao Hai seized the moment, rushing inward and swinging his blade. As soon as one man fell, the Five Thunder Formation collapsed. Only after the lightning dissipated did the remaining four snap out of their daze.
“Fourth Brother!” they screamed, looking at their fallen comrade. They turned their rage toward Zhao Hai and attacked simultaneously.
Zhao Hai dodged the incoming strikes. He whispered under his breath, “Heavenly Demon Seven Killing Blades, Behead!” As the words left his lips, his blade erupted with a blinding white light. Before the four could react, Zhao Hai appeared in the center of their group.
The moment he stood among them, Zhao Hai sheathed his weapon. The four men were dead before they could even understand what had happened.
The Heavenly Demon Seven Killing Blades was a technique Zhao Hai had learned from the Heavenly Demon Race, possessing immense offensive power. Although originally designed for mid-air combat, Zhao Hai had adapted it for ground use since flight was restricted in the True Spirit Realm.
His time in the True Spirit Realm had deepened his understanding of the Dao, which was now inextricably linked to his techniques. Furthermore, his progress with the Stellar Transformations Yin Yang Art had significantly boosted the lethality of the Seven Killing Blades.
Zhao Hai hadn't even used his full power. He had only utilized a tenth of his spiritual Qi during the fight. His goal in Gale Canyon was to refine his techniques and adapt to the environment of the True Spirit Realm. By suppressing his strength, he could see how his skills performed using a standard amount of spiritual Qi. This was the true intent behind his trial.
