Elayne struggled deeply. As someone who was mostly accustomed to evolving into other plant-based forms, choosing from the Undead options always felt complicated and stressful.
Decaying Samurai and its Bushido path sounded very tempting, but Nether Devourer came with extra bonuses to all stats and many unique hunting-oriented abilities that could help her survive against even stronger foes in the future.
It truly was a complicated choice!
"Damn it... This time I cannot punch a Class Changing Crystal..." she sighed in frustration.
As long as the evolution was not connected to the Crystal’s own input the way Classes were, she remained unable to attempt any kind of system error like before. Elayne was left completely helpless right now, thinking hard and tormenting herself over the decision.
"Bushido or... all-rounder...?" she sighed again while massaging her temples. "Why am I so bad at deciding?! Come on Elayne, make up your mind! I..."
Her hands trembled as she was about to choose Samurai, but she stopped herself with her other hand. Then she pointed toward Nether Devourer, only to stop herself right there as well.
"No, no... I have to think carefully! I need to calculate everything properly... Swords are important. I wield them all the time. But I also wield farming tools and magic and all kinds of skills... Also, would Asteria accept or be compatible with Bushido? I imagine she would, right?" she wondered once more while rubbing her chin. "Ah... Nether Devourer is ambiguous too... but it is a unique evolution that is not connected to anything else before. It was born specifically for me, from my own actions..."
Gardenia noticed that Elayne was thinking and overthinking things far too much. She floated over to her side and looked at her while narrowing her small eyes.
"Elayne, you’re taking too long to decide!" she said firmly. "I’ll decide for you if you take so long...!"
She suddenly controlled Elayne’s hand and forced her to tap one of the options.
Elayne panicked, but her hand still landed on an option. She squeezed her eyes shut until the window disappeared and several new ones surged into view as her entire body began to transform.
She gasped as her body suddenly became slenderer and more well-defined. Her skin gained a bit more color, although it remained mostly grayish with a small hint of blue now present.
Her hair stayed black and white, but the black color reigned more strongly now, with the white only remaining at the tips. This gave her a very unique and striking appearance.
Her eyes and face also changed lightly, and she realized with surprise that she had become more Asian-looking.
"W-What...?"

Elayne felt the sudden changes immediately. Power overflowed through her body. She looked at herself in the mirror and noticed that she now looked half-Asian. It seemed that evolving into a Samurai had literally made her appearance shift slightly toward a Japanese look.
"W-What...? I hope I still look like myself after all these evolutions," she sighed. "But okay, it’s not so bad, right? My daughter is half Asian and she’s fine too! W-Well, whatever the case, Bushido and Iaijutsu... these two skills seem closely related to the power of a true Samurai! I-I guess I’m a Samurai now?" she wondered. "Huh?"
She then noticed that her clothes had changed shape on their own. Through her ghostly aura they had transformed into female samurai garbs, complete with a slightly revealing peek at her chest.
Elayne had even developed wooden sandals made of black cursed wood that overflowed with the Spirit of Bushido. That same spirit had been imprinted even into her Nature Soul!
Because her clothes were originally made of plants, they simply reshaped themselves to better match what her Nature Soul now embodied.
These clothes were not just aesthetic either. Their very appearance seemed to boost her power greatly. Her overall capabilities felt noticeably stronger, and her grip on her sword seemed both tighter and more secure.
"Now... I guess I should probably focus on the next evolution before I check anything else, right?"
She turned her attention to the other evolution options, the ones related to the new paths that her Abyssal Myconid Race had opened for her from this point onward.
[Showcasing Evolution Options for the Abyssal Myconid Race]
[Abyssal Myconid Queen – Tier 3]
[Withering Vampiric Treant – Tier 3]
[Ashen Desert Dryad – Tier 3]
Abyssal Myconid Queen seemed like a clear and simple evolution of her already existing Abyssal Myconid Race. She guessed it could allow her to create even more spores and similar abilities. The title "Queen" might also imply the power to create something like a swarm or a hive, though she could not be completely sure yet.
Withering Vampiric Treant was quite interesting. Could it be related to her previous treant evolution option, the Blood Treant? Elayne was not certain, but she knew it could be similar. The term "Vampiric" implied that she might gain the ability to drain energy and similar resources in interesting ways.
Lastly, Ashen Desert Dryad was the most intriguing option to her. Yet another Dryad path, this time one connected to a desert of ashes. She had heard of that region from Granny Yaga before and felt genuinely curious about it.
Her previous Dryad evolution option had been Cursed Dryad. Could these two be related in any way, similar to how she had received evolutions for other zombie races she never chose? It was very possible.
