Elayne stepped into the Domain and found herself standing within an endless garden of pristine white flowers. The sky stretched out in pure, unbroken whiteness with no clouds in sight. A grand castle of flawless white marble rose in the distance, surrounded by majestic mountains covered in untouched white snow. The entire realm felt serene, unique, and breathtakingly beautiful.
Her eyes widened in shock as she spotted Blank engaged in fierce combat against the Mutated and Evolved Hollow that Yaga had mentioned earlier. The creature was female in shape, possessing a ferocious skull-like face, a long skeletal tail, layers of white bone armor, razor-sharp claws, and black muscles and skin that resembled charred coal.
The Hollow fought with savage ferocity, spinning rapidly through the air and unleashing potent breath attacks infused with deadly Death Energy. Blank parried the assaults skillfully using his strongest abilities. He continuously stepped back, gathered power, and countered with his White Void Mist techniques. Clouds of white mist spread across the battlefield, transforming into ghostly energy filled with the pure power of the white void. Explosive weapons materialized within the mist and bombarded the Hollow relentlessly.
Blank clenched his teeth tightly. He had not sustained any serious wounds yet and could recover quickly from minor damage, but the fight demanded intense focus. Going all-out would exhaust him heavily, and this opponent made that prospect feel necessary.
She was incredibly strong. Her techniques and movements were nearly masterful, captivating Blank to a certain degree despite the danger.
"You’re really one handful of a creature!" Blank shouted.
The Hollow roared and opened her jaws wide, launching dozens of biting attacks in rapid succession. Blank was struck several times, but he dissolved into white void mist at the last moment, vanished, and reappeared behind her. Dozens of gigantic spears formed instantly and slammed into her back with devastating force.
She screamed in pain but twisted her body with surprising speed and twirled toward him. Her long tail whipped across his face with brutal accuracy, sending him crashing down into the garden below in a violent explosion of death energy.
Blank stood up once more and brushed the dust from his pristine white clothes. He realized they would need more than a simple shake. A proper wash would be necessary later, which only added to his irritation.
His face flushed red with growing frustration. The strike had hurt and carried significant power, but it was not enough to break his nose. Still, the creature was undeniably tough, perhaps nearly as resilient as he was.
So far, their battle remained mostly in a stalemate. Both sides constantly tried to outmatch the other, yet neither could inflict truly decisive damage.
It was becoming increasingly annoying.
"Should I unleash all my power and simply destroy her completely?" Blank wondered. He had not yet used "That Form," one of the secret techniques that truly defined a Noble Among Nobles. "No. I must persevere. I cannot grow stronger if I do not face difficulties and overcome my own shortcomings."
He narrowed his eyes with determination. His aura surged powerfully as he charged forward. The Hollow met him head-on, rushing down from the skies with equal aggression.
Her sharp claws glowed with dark, phantasmal death energy. A vicious grin spread across her skeletal face as she clashed violently against Blank’s White Void Spears, Shields, Swords, Axes, and Hammers.
Sparks of white and black light erupted constantly with every ferocious exchange. In the midst of the chaos, Blank stepped back to avoid a powerful kick, then grabbed her by the tail and lifted her upward.
She roared in fury and kicked him square in the face, sending him tumbling downward once again. He crashed through several white trees, carving a path of destruction into the forest below.
The Hollow’s roar grew even more furious than before. She was enraged that Blank had dared to touch her tail. Her aura exploded with newfound power as she sprouted a second pair of massive arms from her shoulders. These new limbs were three times larger than the first, covered in thick bony plates and ending in even deadlier claws.
She kicked the ground with tremendous force, shattering it and leaving a burning crater in her wake, then reached Blank at lightning speed.
Blank braced himself for the impact. He gathered his internal energies and performed a special breathing technique. His aura erupted violently as he channeled everything into his White Void Spear.
"Let’s see how strong you truly are!"
His spear collided with her two new bony claws, which were reinforced with super-hardened bone plates. They successfully resisted his attack. Blank’s eyes widened in surprise as he realized she had begun developing resistance to his power.
This was a unique trait that Hollows possessed, an ability often overlooked or unknown to many. Hollows had the power of Adaptability. They could absorb or consume anything and take on its properties. Over time, this evolved into the ability to generate resistance against elements or specific types of attacks after enduring them long enough.
Elayne had already witnessed this with the monster she fought outside, but Blank was now experiencing it even more intensely.
The female Hollow roared and opened her jaws, biting at the air repeatedly in a frenzy. Blank swiftly sidestepped and moved through White Void Mist Steps, disappearing and reappearing safely out of range.
His previous spear had shattered upon impact, so this time he summoned his actual relic instead of constructs made from magic or soul energy.
A real Soul Relic.
"You’re lucky to even catch a glimpse of my true weapon."
The spear was forged from White Ghost Mithril and Phantasmal Alloy, reinforced with Nether Spirit Stones and the cores of Bone, Ghost, and Zombie Beasts. All of it had been masterfully crafted using Titan Teeth Stone as the foundation and further strengthened with over two hundred layers of different reinforcing metals, including Soul Gold, an ultra-rare material that only the wealthiest nobles could ever obtain.
The result was a magnificent weapon forged over two hundred years ago using most of his savings and connections at the time. It was his masterpiece, something so precious that he rarely allowed enemies to see it unless they proved worthy.
This savage Hollow had earned that right.
The spear gleamed with an ethereal, almost holy radiance. Its shaft was pure white, yet faint nebulae of trapped ghostly lights swirled within its core. The blade was long and elegantly tapered to a needle-like point, sharp enough to pierce through concepts themselves. A faint whispering chorus of ancient noble spirits seemed to echo with every movement.
Blank spun the spear once, and the air itself screamed in response.
"This is my White Maiden," he declared calmly, though his eyes burned with focused killing intent. "And you are the first foe in centuries to force me to draw it. Consider yourself honored before you perish."
