Elayne reviews the list of her lost powers and abilities stored within her soul, while Mark questions if he can do the same. Gardenia explains the complicated nature of Mark's powers, which prompts a painful memory for him. Mark discovers a hidden land within his fiery Soul Realm. Gardenia proposes binding the souls of their lost equipment, like Ignias, to their own souls rather than forging new vessels, but Mark insists that Ignias be bound to Elayne for protection.

Elayne let out a long, deep sigh as she looked back at Gardenia. "Okay then, Gardenia. Can you call forth the souls of all the equipment within the bubble? How much will all of that cost?"

"Not cheap. It will probably cost around 300,000 Spiritual Energy Reserves," Gardenia replied.

"Fine. Let’s do this," Elayne said with a firm nod.

Gardenia nodded in return and channeled her spiritual powers. She quickly called forth the spirits resting within the mysterious bubble inside Elayne’s soul. One after another, the spirits emerged as faint, glowing shapes and fused into Elayne.

However, when the spirit of flames appeared as Ignias, something unexpected happened. Her spiritual power suddenly shifted direction and surged toward Mark instead.

"Huh?!"

Mark was caught completely off guard as Ignias rejected Elayne and rushed toward her original master. The spirit merged into his skeletal body, granting him a surge of new, burning power.

"Ignias?!" Mark exclaimed in shock.

"I’m sorry, Mark, but I cannot go along with the plan you wanted!" Ignias declared.

"B-But why!"

"Even if Elayne was the one who created me, you are still my true master. You are the man I choose to fight for and protect, and that will never change!"

"...!"

Mark stood frozen in shock as Ignias fully manifested. She took the form of a large knife made of burning spiritual flames that flickered vividly in shades of red, orange, and yellow.

Elayne smiled warmly. Beside her, Irene manifested in her spiritual form, appearing as a long shovel crafted from vibrant green spiritual energy.

"Elayne, I’m back."

"I know. Welcome back, Irene!" Elayne replied, her voice filled with joy. She pulled Irene’s spiritual form into a tight hug, feeling their connection grow deeper and stronger than ever before.

At the same time, several other spiritual beings appeared around her. These were the souls of the rest of her equipment. The largest was the spirit of her Yggdragon Shield, followed by the spirits of her bracelet, pants, shirt, dress, boots, and many more pieces.

Elayne felt her Spiritual Heart grow significantly stronger. Thanks to the powerful surge, she even regained some of the Spiritual Energy Reserves she had spent earlier. Her stats skyrocketed, filling her body with a refreshing wave of power that made her feel far stronger and more complete than before.

"Alright. With this done, what should I do next?" Elayne wondered aloud. "Maybe it’s finally time to get the Inventory Ability. How much does that cost, Gardenia?"

"It is the most expensive option," Gardenia answered. "500,000!"

"Guh?!" Elayne gasped. "Ugh... Mark, how do you feel?"

"Me? Ah, I’m fine. Just... shocked," Mark muttered. "I never imagined Ignias would want to stay with me this much. Maybe I was wrong..."

"Of course you were, you stupid idiot!" Ignias said angrily. She bonked him on the head with the flat side of her blade. "Don’t you know how sad I was when you died? And now that you are here as a skeleton, you think I would just leave you for Elayne?!"

"Hahaha. Well, she clearly likes you a lot," Elayne giggled. "I was wondering... should I try to unseal Ignis? I think he is still there, dormant. Or rather, a fragment of him that came with us from Avalon. It probably became a separate being from his original self in Arcadia. Still, his forging abilities would be incredibly useful if we want to create the strongest armor and weapons possible."

"That’s true. How expensive is it to unseal him?" Mark asked.

"Now that Elayne has grown stronger, the cost has decreased. It is now around 400,000!" Gardenia said. "So far, you have 1,405,000 left, Elayne."

"Wait, isn’t this just enough?" Elayne asked, her eyes brightening. "Enough to get Ignis and then the Inventory! Okay, let’s go for Ignis first! Bring him in already! Another Divine Spirit will be an amazing help, even if he is only a small fragment."

"Sure! I was waiting for you to say that," Gardenia replied cheerfully. She entered Elayne’s soul once more and used her powers to awaken the dormant flame resting within the bubble. "Ignis! It is finally time! We have accumulated enough power and spiritual energy to call you forth. Even in this accursed land beneath the world of the living, you will be resurrected!"

A massive explosion of flames erupted from deep within Elayne’s soul, causing her to gasp in surprise. Red flames carrying Ignis’s original power surged outward before blending with her nether and spiritual energies, mutating his form in the process.

"Woah! Ignis?!" Elayne exclaimed in disbelief.

"He’s changing colors?" Mark wondered aloud.

Both of them watched in shock as Ignis’s flames overflowed with power. The small flickering flame rapidly evolved and transformed, growing into a larger shape. It took the form of a small humanoid spirit composed of swirling red and blue flames that blended beautifully into a perfect combination of divine and nether energies. A pair of sharp golden eyes opened on the infant-sized flame spirit, who was roughly the same size as the little Gardenia.

"Ignis...?" Elayne whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of joy and uncertainty. "Ignis! You’re back!" She reached out to hug him, but his intense flames, still mixed with divine power, burned her skin. She pulled back for now.

The newly awakened spirit slowly looked around. His gaze first settled on Elayne. A deep, rumbling voice echoed from him, carrying the familiar warmth of a master blacksmith mixed with a colder, sharper tone influenced by the Netherworld. He had changed, but Elayne could still sense that it was truly him. It would have been unrealistic to expect him to remain completely unchanged after mutating under these new circumstances and the heavy atmosphere of the netherworld.

"Master Elayne... and Master Mark. I... I remember that we both died. We all died. What happened? Am I alive? No, this is... I am not in my forge. This is a fragment of my true self, perhaps?" Ignis flexed his fiery hands, sending small sparks of nether essence scattering like fresh forging embers.

"Yeah, Ignis. It’s us!" Elayne nodded with a kind, reassuring smile. "Sorry for the rude awakening. You have been in a very deep dormant state, almost completely sealed so you wouldn’t lose energy and fade away while I lacked the power to summon you back."
