Elayne's domain significantly expands as her crystal tree evolves, unlocking new resources. Her Undead Body and multiple cultivation methods reach Grand Perfection, drastically boosting her stats. She gains the "Undead Evolution" skill, qualifying her to evolve her Main Body and Soul into a Higher Being, with options to evolve her Zombie or Netherworld Plant Colony Vessel races independently. While reviewing her Class Rank Up requirements, Elayne realizes she still needs to create more Sporeborns and slay more undead. She then examines the evolution options for her Zombie race: Sword Revenant, Rotten Giant, and Patchwork Zombie. After consideration, she chooses Sword Revenant due to its practical advantages and future potential, preparing for her next advancement.

Elayne didn’t even consider the Rotten Giant path. It was completely out of the question. The option was aberrant, ugly, slow, and stupid. Its only real benefit was defense, and she had no interest in going around puking acid at her enemies. Even as a zombie, she had standards.

[You have chosen the Evolution Option: [Sword Revenant – Tier 2]!]

[Evolution has begun.]

Elayne felt a powerful surge of energy as every dead cell in her body stirred back to life. Her bones, muscles, and skin began to grow and reshape. She grew slightly taller, her figure becoming slender and agile. Her fingers lengthened with sharp claws, and her hair extended all the way to her ankles, flowing in elegant waves of black and silver.

Her skin lost its pure white tone and shifted into a smooth, clear gray with a faint bluish tint. She didn’t mind the change. She felt stronger and taller, now clearly surpassing two meters in height.

"Damn, my legs and arms are longer than I thought... I hope I don’t look too creepy."

Sword Revenants were known for being agile and strong, with long limbs built for swinging their blades, moving swiftly, and leaping with impressive dexterity. Elayne had fought them before, and they had always been difficult opponents.

[Congratulations, you have successfully evolved your Race [Zombie – Tier 1] into [Sword Revenant – Tier 2]!]

[Your Ghostly Power stat has increased by +5,000.]

[Your Cursed Energy stat has increased by +10,000.]

"Incredible..." Elayne gasped. She summoned her Bone Blade and gripped it tightly with her new, larger hands and longer fingers. "This feels amazing! These fingers will help me hold my blade so much better. And... I can already sense the power flowing through me!"

[You have taken hold of a Sword. The Skill: [Sword Obsession – Tier 2: Level 1/20] has activated.]

[While active, your Physical Strength, Swordsmanship Technique, Attack Power, Agility, and Movement Speed increase by 100%.]

[Additionally, your senses sharpen dramatically.]

"I can feel the changes," Elayne said with a nod. "It really makes me stronger just by holding her... But what happens if I store her away?"

When the blade returned to her soul, the bonuses vanished. It seemed she could not maintain the effects permanently. Her hands needed to remain in contact with the sword.

Still, she could summon it at any moment, so it wasn’t a bad trade-off. So far, there were no noticeable debuffs either.

"Excellent. Now show me the other evolution option."

Still riding the momentum of her first evolution, Elayne quickly moved on to her second race.

[Displaying Evolution Options for the Netherworld Plant Colony Vessel Race]

[Cursed Dryad – Tier 2]

[Abyssal Myconid – Tier 2]

[Blood Treant – Tier 2]

"Huh?"

Elayne had expected new forms of being a "colony," but these options fused all her plants and turned her into some kind of undead plant monster instead.

"Well, I can’t complain. They do look interesting..." she thought. "Although I’m drawn to becoming a Dryad again, it might not be the best choice. I need something stronger, mightier, and more durable. Let’s see."

She read through the descriptions carefully.

[Cursed Dryad – Tier 2]

[Abyssal Myconid – Tier 2]

[Blood Treant – Tier 2]

"I see..." Elayne muttered after reading everything in detail. "Ugh, the Blood Treant sounds strong, but the Cursed Dryad would force me to settle down somewhere. That’s not how I’m getting back home. And the Abyssal Myconid... it’s frail. I’d rather avoid that, but... maybe a stealth and agility build is what I need right now. No matter how much defense I stack at my level, a truly strong foe will still crush me in one or two hits. Agility, dodging, evasion, and hiding... that’s what I should prioritize."

After careful consideration, Elayne made her choice. Although the Blood Treant tempted her, its Tier 2 defense would likely still be lacking, and she had never been a tank anyway. Sailor, Mark, and the other undead specialized in physical strength and defense were there for that. She just needed to evade and strike with overwhelming power.

"Alright, let’s become a mushroom then," she decided, tapping the second option with her long fingers.

[You have chosen the Evolution Option: [Abyssal Myconid – Tier 2]!]

[Evolution has begun.]

Elayne was suddenly enveloped in dark light as her entire body began to change. Or rather, the colony of plants inside her transformed. The moss, mushrooms, and other flora merged into a primordial plant and mushroom essence that then fused with her skin, bones, and flesh.

Slowly, her appearance shifted. A large black mushroom cap formed on her head, complete with a dark veil hanging from its edges. Her skin took on a deeper tone, and smaller black mushroom caps with veils sprouted around her shoulders, arms, and legs.

"Oh?"

Aside from that, there were no further drastic changes, which surprised her.
