Yue Buqun tricks Yang Huan into handing over the valuable Long Rainbow Sword under the guise of it being a sect treasure and promises him the Sword Elder position. Yang Huan, suspicious but unconcerned, secretly spits out a healing pill given by Yue Buqun. He then corners Yue Lingshan, confessing his feelings and making advances, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Ning Zhongzhi, whose gaze is filled with killing intent.

[Ding! Sexual harassment detected, activating evil deeds system.]

[Rewards: Three years of pure inner strength.]

Despite the system's notification, the reward failed to stir any excitement within Yang Huan.

Making matters worse, the current predicament was undeniably awkward.

He had never anticipated Ning Zhongzhi discovering him in such a compromising situation.

Oh, this is truly mortifying!

Yang Huan hastily withdrew his hand, his head bowed, too ashamed to meet Ning Zhongzhi's gaze, like a naughty child caught red-handed.

"Lingshan, you are betrothed to Pingzhi. You must exercise more caution in the future. As a young lady, you must conduct yourself with the decorum befitting your station," Ning Zhongzhi admonished her daughter sternly.

"I understand, Mother. I acknowledge my error," Yue Lingshan replied, not attempting to deflect blame and immediately admitting her fault.

She cast a furtive glance at Yang Huan, conceding inwardly that she had indeed felt a subtle pull towards him earlier.

"You may leave now. I have matters to discuss with Brother Yang," Ning Zhongzhi declared, waving her hand. Yue Lingshan, with a nod, obediently departed.

Her exit was swift, an almost hurried retreat from the scene. She felt utterly unsure how to face Yang Huan after the incident, hence her desire to leave as quickly as possible.

Clang!

A long sword was drawn from its sheath, its tip now aimed directly at Yang Huan.

"Yang Huan! You have overstepped your bounds!"

Ning Zhongzhi's fury burned so intensely that she contemplated striking Yang Huan down with her sword.

However, upon closer reflection, she questioned the justification for such an action.

Was it not Ning Zhongzhi herself who had initially abandoned womanly virtues and tempted Yang Huan?

Furthermore, a part of her hesitated at the thought of harming Yang Huan now.

Facing the sharp point of his master's sword, Yang Huan remained utterly unfazed.

With merely two fingers, he effortlessly deflected the blade's menacing trajectory.

Yang Huan advanced, leaning closer to the exquisite madam. "How have I overstepped? I hold affections for both you, my Madam, and my Senior Sister. Is there something wrong with that?"

"You are shameless!" Ning Zhongzhi retorted, her voice laced with indignation.

Yang Huan chuckled, countering with a smile, "If I am without shame, does that imply you possess it?"

"I..." Ning Zhongzhi found herself speechless, unable to formulate a response.

Turning away, she shook her head in resignation. "Enough. It is all my fault. I should not have provoked you."

"However, Yang Huan, I issue this warning: should you dare to lay a hand on Ling Shan, I shall ensure you regret it, even if it costs me my life!"

With those resolute words, Ning Zhongzhi departed without further delay.

Observing her retreating figure, Yang Huan smirked and declared, "Both my Madam and my Senior Sister rightfully belong to me!"

He harbored no fear of Ning Zhongzhi's threat. Given his current martial prowess, she posed no significant challenge to him anymore.

In a modest pawnshop located within Seven Heroes Town.

"What item do you wish to pawn, sir?" the shopkeeper inquired of Yang Huan.

Yang Huan placed a plain iron sword upon the counter. "I seek ten taels of gold for this sword," he stated.

The shopkeeper's brow furrowed as he picked up the long sword Yang Huan had presented, inspecting it with a critical eye.

He then tossed the sword aside dismissively. "No deal! Be gone!"

The discarded sword flew towards Yang Huan, but he caught it with reflexes as swift as lightning. Drawing the weapon in a fluid motion, he pointed its tip menacingly at the shopkeeper's throat.

"Can I pawn it now?" Yang Huan inquired, raising an eyebrow with a sly smile.

"Yes, yes, of course. Absolutely," the shopkeeper stammered, his composure shattered.

"What are you waiting for? Hand over the coin!" Yang Huan commanded imperiously.

The shopkeeper promptly delivered a kick to his unsuspecting apprentice, who immediately scrambled to retrieve the money.

Yang Huan departed the pawnshop, a satisfied grin on his face, leaving the iron sword behind. The absence of a system notification this time seemed peculiar to Yang Huan.

With the acquired funds, Yang Huan procured a fine horse and rode out of Seven Heroes Town.

Having received a stern warning from his Senior Sister, Yang Huan departed from Mount Hua. He did, however, bid farewell to her before his departure. Still visibly displeased, his Senior Sister offered no further inquiries, merely urging him to leave posthaste.

Although Yang Huan was still nursing some injuries, they were superficial and not of a serious nature. His intended destination after leaving the mountain was Blackwood Cliff, a considerable distance of two thousand miles from Mount Hua, requiring approximately four to five days of travel by horse.

While the saying about a horse covering a thousand miles in a day existed, its literal truth was debatable. Such horses were exceedingly rare, and though the steed Yang Huan had purchased was of good quality, it did not possess such extraordinary capabilities.

The journey on horseback was arduous, anticipated to span four to five days. Upon his arrival in Luocheng, Yang Huan proceeded at a leisurely pace, walking alongside his horse as they entered the city. The continuous travel had fatigued the animal, necessitating a period of rest, and he planned to locate a reputable inn to accommodate his horse.

Amidst the vibrant thoroughfares of Luocheng, his gaze swept over the surroundings, absorbing every detail with genuine fascination. Abruptly, a clamor erupted nearby, drawing his attention to a middle-aged man brandishing a rolling pin and pursuing a young beggar. The man's threats were dire, promising to flay the child alive. Yet, the beggar remained unfazed, his laughter echoing as he taunted the furious man. In his flight, however, the beggar stumbled directly into Yang Huan, resulting in a collision.
