While Su Yan dealt with online rumors, Guan Yutong and her friend publicly insulted her. Su Yan retaliated by subtly revealing Guan Yutong's father's financial troubles, hinting at a potential takeover. Later, Su Yan contacted Chai Xingyu, who confirmed Guan Yong had been trying to sell off his company, Wan Xing, for a considerably lower price than what he had previously offered Su Yan.

Su Yan, with a smile, explained, “The crux of the matter is that both Xuanwen Group and Baiyou Group have given him the cold shoulder. Thus, he must inevitably turn his attention to you. Two billion. Should Guan Yong bestow Wan Xing upon you, seize this chance to acquire it. Subsequently, I shall arrange for two billion to be transferred to your account.”

..

Several days later, within the environs of the boxing gym.

Beads of sweat streamed down Su Yan’s face as she threw a punch that landed on empty air. With a roar directed at the space before her, she demanded, “Are you intentionally letting me win? Wei Zhou?!”

Wei Zhou’s fists met in a controlled clash. “I am not.”

Su Yan’s eyebrows arched. “Then explain why you are solely defending and refraining from attacking?”

It was a mere happenstance. Su Yan had originally intended only to practice her boxing that day, having been away from the sport for some time. However, after engaging with the coach for a brief period, Wei Zhou and Lan Jian made their entrance together. Coincidentally, Wei Zhou and Su Yan shared the same coach. In Su Yan’s presence, the coach lavished praise upon Wei Zhou’s prowess. Upon hearing of Wei Zhou’s formidable abilities, a surge of competitive spirit ignited within Su Yan. After shooing the coach away, she directly challenged Wei Zhou, eager to ascertain the true extent of his strength.

Before her declaration could fully escape her lips, Wei Zhou launched his first offensive. His footwork was light, his movements swift, as he delivered a punch aimed directly at Su Yan’s shoulder. A jolt of surprise coursed through Su Yan, compelling her to narrowly evade to the side. It was in that instant she comprehended. Wei Zhou was not merely defending; he was also observing, meticulously searching for an opening, her weakness.

Su Yan retreated a step, creating distance between herself and Wei Zhou. A subtle curve graced her pink lips. She found the situation increasingly intriguing, which only amplified her competitive fervor. She initiated several more attacks against Wei Zhou. However, to Su Yan’s growing disappointment, Wei Zhou seemed to deliberately misstep, absorbing a few of her blows.

Su Yan’s eyebrows knitted together. “Wei Zhou, what is the meaning of this? Are you looking down on me?”

Wei Zhou absently rubbed his lower abdomen. “No.”

Su Yan scoffed. “You still claim no? After all this fighting, you’ve only thrown a single punch.”

In the very next second, the answer came in the form of Wei Zhou’s fist. The man’s punch was both heavy and swift, striking Su Yan’s forearm and forcing her to stumble back two steps. Gritting her teeth, Su Yan immediately sprang back into action. The two combatants became wholly absorbed in their duel. Yet, for the most part, Su Yan was the aggressor, her fists landing repeatedly on Wei Zhou’s body, while he seldom retaliated with punches. Even when he did throw a punch, it lacked genuine force, never truly connecting with Su Yan.

Despite his earlier denial, Su Yan was acutely aware that this man was intentionally holding back, allowing her to unleash all the pent-up frustration and despair within her heart. Given this implicit consent, Su Yan spared no restraint. She continued her assault, her fists raining down with fierce determination. Each punch was delivered with power and unwavering focus. Wei Zhou gradually transitioned from a defensive posture to one of near passivity, simply presenting his chest and allowing her to strike him.

After delivering a barrage of dozens of consecutive blows, Su Yan's arms began to ache. “You lost, Wei…” she declared.

Before she could finish speaking, she witnessed the man’s tall frame collapsing towards her. Wei Zhou opened his arms, drawing her into an embrace, and then, carrying her, they tumbled onto the training platform. Su Yan found herself momentarily stunned. At that instant, her entire body was pinned beneath his. They lay pressed together, intimately close. The hour of intense boxing training had left Su Yan breathless, and combined with her recent emotional release, her respiration was even more ragged. Wei Zhou, conversely, maintained a steady breathing rhythm, a sheen of cold sweat glistening on his body.

In all their three years of marriage, they had never been this close. Wei Zhou’s weight bore down on her, his hands pinning Su Yan’s to the ground. His handsome visage was mere inches from hers, their breaths mingling indistinguishably. Su Yan’s sweat-slicked skin emitted an inexplicably pleasant scent. Wei Zhou recalled Lan Jian mentioning that this particular fragrance was akin to the scent of a virgin’s body, a detail that deeply captivated him, even stirring a sense of carnal desire. He longed to savor the woman beneath him, yet he understood the grave consequence: such an act would mean losing her forever.

Abruptly, Su Yan mustered all her strength, shoving the man away. Before Wei Zhou could react, he saw Su Yan straddling his lower abdomen. The woman gazed down at him, her voice ringing out, “Wei Zhou, you lose.”

Wei Zhou’s body went limp, his fists falling to rest at his sides. His dark eyes, however, remained fixed upon her. “You have won.”

His affection for Su Yan was so profound; how could he possibly allow her to taste defeat? One lay sprawled on the ground, the other positioned above him. They stared at each other. The room was steeped in silence, a consequence of their late-night training session, leaving them entirely alone.

After a lengthy period, Su Yan spoke, "Let's let the past fade away. From this moment on, you and I will walk separate paths. I wish you great happiness, Wei Zhou."
