Beast Taming: the More the Better Chapter 911 - 385: The Legendary Mystery! False Rumors About Dragon City!

Time Sequence.
The most enigmatic, singular, and scarce attribute.
Even though Su Ping has ascended to his current standing, without actively seeking it, encountering a Time Sequence Pet Beast remains a considerable challenge.
Nevertheless, Su Ping had never once anticipated that within this Dragon City, a being of such a nature would exist.
He has now attained a certain comprehension of the Dragon Nation's foundation.
Consequently, what is his response to the proposition put forth by the individual before him?
Su Ping did not immediately assent, but instead cast his gaze toward the Legend of the Holy Dragon, who appeared equally captivated:
"Holy Dragon, what are your thoughts?"
The man let out a chuckle, seemingly taken aback that this young lad would pose such a question to him.
Yet, he did not hesitate and offered a nod:
"It is acceptable."
This individual truly possesses an aloof bearing.
Su Ping inwardly grumbled, a fact he kept to himself.
But naturally, for a being of this caliber, how could they engage in the incessant and idle chatter of ordinary folk?
With the ferocity of thunder contained within his chest yet maintaining the placidity of a tranquil lake on his countenance, such a person could be hailed as a formidable general. This one's inner heart harbors profound stratagems, and it is natural that he would not divulge much to those outside his confidence.
Nevertheless, given his agreement, Su Ping decisively opted to adhere to the established arrangements, nodding straightforwardly:
"Elder Zhu, from this moment onward, I am under your tutelage!"
Preposterous!
The Burial Ground of Leng Ye, the Colorless Dragon City, the Four Seas Dragon Palace. Even with a powerful Dragon King presiding, could they boast such an existence?
This Candle Dragon is not merely an Ancient Divine Beast, but also a supreme entity residing at the Legendary Ninth Rank!
With such a formidable patron and fueled by his curiosity about the Time Sequence Dragon Clan, Su Ping genuinely found no reason for hesitation.
"Hehe, not bad, truly not bad! Within Dragon City, there are indeed several dragon species possessing the space element.
However, dragon species of the Time Sequence are exceedingly uncommon; even this old dragon did not foresee that through the Dragon Gate's assessment, such a peculiar pet beast would exhibit the potential of the Time Sequence dragon species!"
Su Ping felt no urgency to quench his curiosity regarding what this so-called Time Sequence dragon species entailed. Instead, he continued to direct his attention to the Legend of the Holy Dragon:
"Holy Dragon, if it is permissible, may I be granted the opportunity to participate in the research conducted at the other Lands of Inheritance within Dragon City?"
The man and the dragon exchanged a glance, showing no indication of surprise.
This insatiable choice made by Su Ping was something they had anticipated long ago.
The man offered a smile once more:
"Although you have demonstrably proven your capabilities..."
As his words trailed off, the scene from Su Ping's press conference, which had occurred a few days prior, materialized in the void before him.
Before Su Ping could even marvel at the effortless creation of such a lifelike projection, he continued:
"Nonetheless, the regulations of Dragon City must still be observed. Therefore, upon the successful completion of your research concerning Elder Zhu's dragon species, you will then be permitted to engage in the research of other Lands of Inheritance."
For the first time, Su Ping raised an eyebrow, gazing with a degree of doubt at the nearby crimson-headed Old Dragon:
"Complete the research? You imply that your Time Sequence dragon species has not yet been fully developed? And what of my dragon then?"
Su Ping suddenly felt as though he had been deceived!
Did he not state that each Dragon Emblem was associated with a dragon pet?
Although a contract had not yet been formed, it was still rightfully his!
And now, it wasn't even finalized? Was it merely an illusory promise?
Elder Zhu finally interjected:
"Young fellow, do not be hasty! It has not yet returned from the River of Time, but I can guarantee that it is the most fitting dragon for you!"
Even the Legend of the Holy Dragon standing nearby offered his concurrence:
"Indeed."
While Su Ping placed his trust in the Legend of the Holy Dragon, he now harbored a slight skepticism towards this enigmatic Candle Dragon—what exactly was he referring to?
The phrase 'hasn’t returned from the River of Time'?
These four words evoked a sense of amusement within him.
Never mind the legendary Candle Dragon present, could even truly Time Sequence mythical-level pet beasts venture into such a place, existing only in imagination?
And to specifically return from the River of Time?
However, judging by his tone, it seemed trustworthy?
At the very least, it appeared that such a pet beast genuinely existed?
Su Ping's anticipation began to build.
Evidently, having secured Su Ping's commitment, the Candle Dragon appeared satisfied:
"Ultimately, when the little one awakens, return to Dragon City, and this old dragon shall discuss matters further with you. Ah Xuan and you have more pressing concerns; this old dragon shall now take his leave."
The Candle Dragon gave a subtle nod, the candlelight atop his head flickered gently, and then he vanished without a trace.
Within the dwelling atop the pavilion, only Su Ping and the Legend of the Holy Dragon remained.
In the solitude facing this entity, the atmosphere grew somewhat strained.
Su Ping pondered for a moment, then resumed the previous conversation:
"Saint Dragon, what precisely is this Time Dragon?"
The man offered a slight smile before responding:
"It is a unique pet beast, unlike any previously encountered in Dragon City..."
As his words faded, the air rippled once more, giving rise to a peculiar phantom. It resembled a butterfly, yet was distinctly alien in form. However, this spectral apparition vanished almost as soon as it materialized, before Su Ping could properly discern its features. His hand had merely gestured, and it was gone. Subsequently, the man spoke with a sigh, "Su Ping, perhaps we should try a different method of communication." "Huh?" Su Ping was taken by surprise. The man then slowly raised a finger and tapped Su Ping's forehead. In that instant, Su Ping felt his consciousness being guided, a sensation akin to immersing oneself within the Heart of Dreams. Yet, in contrast to the simulated environments conjured by the Heart of Dreams' network, this direct mental channel felt far more intimate and secluded.
