"Master Zhu, how come you personally came to fetch us?"
The Jiao Long touched down at a specific spot within the Imperial Capital.
This place resembled a high-end private club, seemingly named the Dragon Dynasty Club or something similar.
In this prime central area of the Imperial Capital, where land is extraordinarily valuable, a tranquil retreat was established amidst the urban clamor. The mere existence of such a club hinted at the owner's significant standing and influence.
This was also the rendezvous point Zhu Hong had specified via phone.
Standing before Su Ping at this private landing strip was Zhu Hong, accompanied by a genial middle-aged man and a retinue of attendants.
"You are a celebrated hero in the Dragon Nation's Breeder community. Not only did I come, but Elder Feng also wished to meet you. Unfortunately, a pressing matter arose, preventing his attendance. He specifically asked me to convey his desire to have a conversation with you if your schedule permits."
Zhu Hong stated with a chuckle. His gaze then shifted to the three girls peeking from behind Su Ping, as well as Long'er, whose expression remained cool and composed.
"This must be Sang Sheng's granddaughter, correct? Do you feel confident about the upcoming national exam?"
Qin Xiaoxue, having met Zhu Hong previously at the academy, replied with a blend of modesty and assurance: "Thank you for your concern, Master Zhu. Naturally, I am!"
"Hehe, that's excellent. However, Xiao Xue, Su Ping might be occupied and unable to accompany you all for the entirety of this period. Someone has requested to see him, which will limit his availability to show you around the Imperial Capital. You won't hold this against me, will you?"
Qin Xiaoxue pouted slightly. As Sang Sheng's granddaughter, Miss Qin understood priorities. "What use would blaming you be? Important matters naturally take precedence. But now that I've finally seen you, you must be truthful with me—Su Ping will face no further danger, correct?"
Before Zhu Hong could respond, Su Ping interjected with a laugh, "What kind of danger could I possibly encounter? Haven't I already explained?"
Qin Xiaoxue disregarded Su Ping's comment and fixed her gaze directly on Zhu Hong.
Confronted by the young girl's earnest gaze, Zhu Hong assumed a more serious demeanor.
"Rest assured, Su Ping is perfectly safe."
"Hee‑hee‑hee, that's wonderful news. In that case, we shall not disturb your conversation. The elder lady had mentioned this Dragon Dynasty Club to me before, but this is my inaugural visit. It's the perfect opportunity; I shall explore the grounds first."
Qin Xiaoxue's cheerful demeanor returned as she gestured dismissively.
Zhu Hong quickly instructed:
"Xiao Wang, arrange for someone to guide Xiao Xue and her companions."
"Understood."
The middle-aged man beside him acknowledged the request. He selected a woman in her thirties, possessing a warm and dignified smile, to escort Qin Xiaoxue and the other two girls away.
After bidding farewell to Qin Xiaoxue, Zhu Hong's smile vanished. He subtly glanced behind him; his subordinates understood the signal and discreetly moved away, leaving the elder and the young man to converse privately.
Zhu Hong then spoke with palpable gravity:
"Su Ping, how are you feeling? Are you truly alright?"
Su Ping nodded.
"I'm still holding up. Didn't Senior Ray provide me with a Magic Potion earlier?"
As he spoke, he produced a small vial filled with a silvery liquid.
This item had been gifted to him the previous night by Ray Saint, described as a Magic Potion designed to soothe the heart and clarify the mind, evidently tailored to his specific condition.
The peculiar truth, however, was that Su Ping had no use for such a remedy.
When the affliction from the Celestial Tomb Mark reached what Su Ping perceived as its absolute limit, he had simply allowed the Myriad Spirit Beast Atlas to absorb it. The notion that it could impact his thoughts or Spirit was entirely unfounded. Nevertheless, this was not something he could readily disclose.
After a thorough examination of Su Ping's complexion, observing the young man's nonchalant shrug under his intense scrutiny, Zhu Hong felt a measure of relief.
He contemplated for a moment before stating, "For the time being, secure a room here at the Dragon Dynasty Club to rest and get settled. Prepare yourself. Tomorrow morning, we shall proceed into Dragon City."
Su Ping offered little in response, feeling a surge of anticipation.
He had previously heard numerous accounts of Dragon City from figures like Ray Saint and Leng Ye, and a deep curiosity about the true heart of the Dragon Nation had taken root. Now, he was finally on the verge of witnessing it firsthand.
Zhu Hong halted his steps, turning his head. The middle-aged man, previously addressed as Xiao Wang, hurried over swiftly.
This somewhat stout middle-aged man let out a chuckle, retrieved an unusual Gold card from his chest, and presented it with both hands before Su Ping:
"Master Su, this is our Dragon Dynasty’s Golden Dragon Membership Card. Should you find yourself in the Imperial Capital in the future and are unsure of accommodations, you are welcome here. All expenses are covered, and every sort of service is readily available."
Su Ping’s eyes blinked, he cast a glance at Zhu Hong, then accepted it with a smile:
"Thank you."
"I would not dare to accept your thanks. You are a person accomplishing great deeds. My name is Wang Delong, and I am somewhat recognized within the Imperial Capital. If you have any minor affairs, Master Su, you may command me at any time. This is my business card."
After delivering another equally distinctive business card, Wang Delong tactfully ceased speaking and retreated to a short distance.
From the start to the finish, his demeanor was one of utmost respect, not betraying the slightest hint of arrogance, despite Su Ping possibly being younger than his own son.
Only then did Zhu Hong’s laughter ring out as he stated:
"Xiao Wang was once affiliated with the Capital’s Wang Family. During certain past events decades ago, the Wang Family was among the initial major Households to openly declare their allegiance. Consequently, even though there isn't currently a Holy Spirit Level Beastmaster residing within their compound…”
