Su Ping's recent victory has garnered nationwide attention, with his impressive feat of facing a thousand opponents drawing significant interest. As the provincial exams conclude and a press conference approaches, Su Ping inquires about rewards for his success. Qin Erlong reveals a past slight involving a dragon pet selection in Dragon City and urges Su Ping to seek revenge by acquiring treasures from the Dragon City's inheritance lands during his upcoming trial.

Legendary resources... a concept that occupied Su Ping's thoughts once more, specifically concerning the Biyao Chunshen and the mythical Elixir of Immortality it called for.

He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Does an Elixir of Immortality truly exist?"

"Elixir of Immortality?" Qin Erlong paused, a flicker of contemplation crossing his features as he processed the query.

After a brief moment, Old Qin's eyes widened. "Nonsense! If such a potent item capable of affecting even human Beastmasters were available, it certainly wouldn't be for a youngster like you to wield! As for what's precisely attainable, I'm uncertain. There's a vast chasm between the Legendary and Spirit Saint tiers, encompassing myriad elements that are difficult to articulate clearly."

Su Ping, far from discouraged, considered this for a moment before posing another question. "Old Qin, could you elucidate the significance of the various Lands of Inheritance within Dragon City? From your earlier remarks, it sounds as though internal conflicts are quite pronounced."

He recalled something the Ray Saint had mentioned previously, but that individual was seldom reliable and lacked a serious demeanor. Questions about Dragon City's internal affairs were often met with impatient dismissals.

Could Qin Erlong, however, offer a clearer understanding?

Qin Erlong shook his head. "Dragon City serves as the very foundation of our Dragon Nation; to suggest the internal disputes are so severe as to involve deliberate sabotage would be inaccurate! Nevertheless, competition is undeniably a factor. As for the underlying causes, my knowledge is limited, though I've heard Ah Sang touch upon certain aspects. It seems to be connected to the genesis of the Dragon Clan."

Hmm? Su Ping's brow furrowed in surprise as he looked at Old Qin, but his thoughts soon turned inward.

Sensing Su Ping's contemplation, Qin Erlong offered a smile. "Indeed, the Dragon Clan possesses two primary modes of origination, applicable to both the Giant Dragon Clan and the Divine Dragon Clan. One is through hatching from eggs, and the other is via evolution! The latter requires little explanation; it constitutes the central focus and subject of research for many elders within the various Lands of Inheritance. However, the critical question remains: how is the former method achieved?"

This was precisely the question Su Ping had been pondering. The last time he encountered Da Huang, the Divine Dragon Clan member, Da Huang had seemed asexual. While in the Pet Beast World of Blue Star, similar phenomena were observed in Undead and Elemental series. Yet, if the Dragon Clan could hatch from eggs, reproduction through union should logically be involved.

Even so, Dragons born through this method possessed a racial cap starting at Emperor Level, with some, like Qin Erlong's Mu Long—a pure Divine Dragon—exhibiting potential reaching the Spirit Saint Level.

Attaining such a realm didn't guarantee advancement, but the probability was certainly not insignificant.

Su Ping regarded Qin Erlong with renewed surprise.

The latter, seemingly understanding Su Ping's unspoken curiosity, met his gaze with a gentle smile. "It is said that the contention among Dragon City's various Lands of Inheritance revolves around this very matter! Whenever a new Dragon Pet emerges within a Land of Inheritance that can be bred and evolved, or when other breakthroughs in dragon research occur, it enhances that Land of Inheritance's standing in this particular domain. The intricacies of these internal dynamics, however, are something you would need to witness firsthand."

Su Ping nodded, sinking back into contemplation.

Dragons, it seemed, were shaping up to be an increasingly captivating and desirable type of Pet Beast.

While Su Ping was lost in his reflections, across the vast ocean...

Night had fallen, casting deep shadows. The room, resembling a dark tomb, exuded an eerie stillness.

Four pairs of intensely burning eyes seemed to hold a chilling coldness.

Projected before them, replaying incessantly, was the image of Su Ping alongside the Paperman, its cheek marked with a red Jack of Spades.

Finally, after countless viewings, a voice broke the silence. "Truly remarkable! How did Leng Ao devise such a strategy to draw the snake from its den using this insignificant creature? Wasn't he concerned about the risk of miscalculation and being utterly outmaneuvered?"

Mu Yu remained silent, his gaze fixated on the Paperman. The blue flames within his eyes flickered with an emotion akin to profound discontent.

He had encountered mutated Papermen before; although the mutation rate was exceedingly low, his status within the Dragon Nation granted him access. Yet, none of the mutated specimens he had encountered possessed this level of power, much less achieved evolution.

And to think such an accomplishment was realized by a mere fledgling! How could he possibly accept this?

Charles paid no heed to his student's inner turmoil. When selecting disciples, he prioritized character over innate talent. While Mu Yu's talent might be wanting, his character bore a strong resemblance to his own.

"Intriguing! It appears the Dragon Nation is on the cusp of witnessing the emergence of a Hall Super-Rank Skill!"

"Hall?! How is that even conceivable?!" Mu Yu exclaimed, his disbelief evident. However, upon turning to observe his teacher, he saw no trace of jest in his expression.

"What impossibility? Even when the levels and minor realms are slightly inferior, a crushing victory of one against a thousand is achievable!

Ha, under equal levels, if both are at Commander Level, my undead domain’s Pet Beast might not even wield one-tenth the effect of this Paperman Pet Beast’s skill?"
