Jiao Ji visits Su Ping, revealing an urgent situation: the main body of the Water Venerable is rapidly advancing and may soon become the Sea God, seeking revenge. She fears being forced to merge back, which would also put Su Ping in danger. The main body has already begun eliminating avatars of the Flame Venerable, confirming its enmity towards Su Ping. Su Ping, realizing he's already in conflict with the main body, agrees to help Jiao Ji, though he admits he has no immediate solution for their soul connection issue.

His trip to the Heavenly Tomb had yielded many rewards, but his newfound understanding and mastery of the soul was undoubtedly one of the greatest.

He asked at his own leisurely pace, "You and the main body, Water Venerable, originally shared a single integrated soul. However, because your mastery of External Incarnation isn’t perfect, you and the Water Venerable actually split your soul in two. Is that right?"

"Exactly! Su Ping, how exactly can an External Incarnation be bred without severing one’s own soul?" The Water Venerable looked at Su Ping earnestly.

Su Ping blinked. If asked this earlier, he wouldn’t have known the answer. The mechanics of completing this during Evolution, particularly the soul aspect of Shadow Clone Technique Skills—especially at the profound level of an External Incarnation—were incredibly complex.

But now, he had gained some insight.

"A soul doesn’t necessarily need to be divided to manifest a clone, and the Shadow Clone Technique cannot sever a soul either. For an External Incarnation, the soul aspect likely relies on Evolution or incubation to stack soul mass. Meanwhile, this stacked portion of the soul can be detached at any given moment..."

As he explained, Su Ping wondered what exactly a soul was, directing his thoughts back to the Ability he had mastered.

An Ability that could rival the power of a god.

Creating an entirely new Living Being: a Paperman.

The soul of a Paperman initially stemmed from his mastery over soul rules, brought to life through the condensation of Soul Power.

But what about organic life forms?

When humans, the young of other Living Beings, or plant Pet Beast Life Embryos were first born, they didn’t possess complete souls. Their physical shells nurtured and grew their souls over time.

In this sense, the soul was an extension of Life.

A weak, budding soul required a Life Embryo for nourishment and growth. However, a mature soul could transcend the limits of Life, persisting as an Undead entity to ensure its independence and survival.

Following this line of logic, the problem plaguing the Water Venerable before him didn’t seem so insurmountable anymore.

Suddenly, as he stared at the Water Venerable, a flash of inspiration sparked in Su Ping’s mind. He realized that his earlier, seemingly absurd idea might actually be feasible after all!

After a moment of thought, he slowly reached out and touched Jiao Ji’s body, causing her to freeze in surprise.

"What are you doing?" she demanded.

Soft and cold. These were the sensations transmitted through Su Ping’s fingertips. The physical composition of Jiao Ji’s body seemed to be the final puzzle piece he needed for his wild theory.

He looked at Jiao Ji and said thoughtfully, "Senior, could you chop off one of your fingers for me?"

"???"

Jiao Ji almost slapped him across the face. However, she knew Su Ping wasn’t the type to spout nonsense.

"Will this fix my condition? Does this have anything to do with severing the connection between me and my main body?"

Su Ping shook his head. "Not really."

Jiao Ji forcefully suppressed the urge to backhand him. "Then what do you want my finger for?"

"I’m just curious about what your body is made of. You mentioned earlier that you can merge with your main body, right?"

Jiao Ji was taken aback, wondering how the topic had shifted to this and how this brat’s mind even worked. Still, she nodded in bewilderment. "That’s right. In essence, I was separated from the main body. Our bodies are formed from a highly condensed Water Element Transformation, meaning they are fundamentally made of water.

"Naturally, I can perfectly fuse with the main body."

At her words, Jiao Ji watched as Su Ping furrowed his brow, falling into deep thought once again. She wondered what on earth he was thinking about.

Nevertheless, Jiao Ji added, "However, once I am separated from him, his Water Element body naturally becomes diluted. It’s not as dense as it is when we are perfectly fused..."

Su Ping blinked at her words. A bizarre, yet incredibly brilliant idea formed in his mind.

He stared at Jiao Ji with burning intensity. His gaze made the Water Venerable’s clone inexplicably uneasy, prompting her to subconsciously take two steps back.

"Su Ping, there’s no possibility for anything between humans and Ferocious Beasts. Don’t go getting any weird ideas..."

Su Ping completely ignored her.

He had already plotted out his next sequence of research and actions. Yet, unexpectedly, Jiao Ji’s appearance had breathed life into an idea he had previously dismissed as impossible and hopeless, giving him an entirely new angle. Most importantly, after mulling it over and even briefly activating his ’Overclocking Spirit’ Talent to process his thoughts in an overclocked state, he realized that this idea had a massive chance of success!

Without wasting another second, he beckoned to Jiao Ji. "Senior, come with me!"

Jiao Ji was utterly perplexed, but she followed Su Ping anyway.

The Heart of Woods served as the core of the Heart of Myriad Spirits. By now, it housed an exaggerated number of various laboratories, sprawling across an area of over one square kilometer. Soon, the man and the Jiao Ji arrived at their destination.

Just as they arrived, they bumped into two figures walking out of a laboratory. It was none other than Zhu Hong and Meng Yao. Indeed, Su Ping had brought her to a laboratory primarily dedicated to Water Element environmental Energy.

Meng Yao looked at him in pleasant surprise. "Su Ping, what brings you here? Did you finally come around? Are you ready to start your Water Element Breeding research?"

Su Ping nodded. "That’s right..."

Only then did the two notice the Water Venerable trailing behind him. Both raised their eyebrows in surprise.

"Senior Water Venerable, what are you doing here...?"

Su Ping quickly interjected, "It was actually Senior Water Venerable who inspired my latest Breeding idea. Where are you two headed?"

Meng Yao and Zhu Hong exchanged a glance. They did, in fact, have other matters to attend to. Meng Yao needed Zhu Hong’s help with the construction of the Lightning Pool and Sword Washing Pool at the Lingxi River tributary.

However, they simultaneously decided that those projects could wait. They were much more interested in seeing what kind of trouble this little menace was cooking up on his very first day back.

Meng Yao spoke up without hesitation, "We’re completely free. What about you? Do you need any assistants for your new research project?"

He was clearly just being polite, but Su Ping took him up on the offer. "Sure! You’re both experts in this field, so you can point out any flaws in my process."

The two men exchanged another glance. Zhu Hong asked suspiciously, "Wait a minute. You aren’t researching Haina Baichuan?"

Su Ping shook his head and led the group straight into the laboratory.

Trailing behind him, Jiao Ji spoke up again, "Su Ping, this isn’t the time to be focused on trivial matters. What about what I told you...?"

Before she could finish, Su Ping waved her off. "Senior, your problem is a minor issue. I’ll map out a solution for you during my downtime. Broadly speaking, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Completely severing the connection with your main body will just take a bit of time, but it’s theoretically sound.

"Don’t worry about it for now. I actually need your help evaluating this current project."

Hearing this, Jiao Ji fell silent. Though, she was highly skeptical.

Her connection to her main body was an intricate matter concerning clones, yet this kid was brushing it off like it was nothing? She couldn’t help but wonder what exactly he was preparing to do now, if that was truly nothing to him.

As the others pondered this, Su Ping marched to the center of the laboratory. Then, to everyone’s utter astonishment, Su Ping produced a very peculiar item.

Meng Yao found the item highly familiar. "Is that... the severed arm of the Yaksha King I gave you?" he asked. "What are you planning to do with it?"

Instead of answering, Su Ping’s face lit up with exhilaration as he declared, "Gentlemen, we’re about to make history! Today’s experiment just might leave another monumental mark on the history of Beastmasters!"

For some reason, seeing Su Ping so hyped up and hearing his grandiose declaration didn’t stir any excitement in the two humans. Instead, they felt completely numb.

In fact, Zhu Hong, who had participated in a fair number of Su Ping’s experiments, harbored only one bizarre thought at that moment: "Are we making history yet again? Are we leaving yet another monumental mark on the history of Beastmasters?"
