Su Ping and Guan Qianshan discuss the financial struggles of the Heart of Myriad Spirits. A phone call from Wu Kuang, the president of the Mechanics Association, interrupts their conversation. Wu Kuang informs Su Ping that he has been appointed deputy leader of a newly formed special task force, the Silver Order Department, which will investigate and shut down enterprises suspected of colluding with the overseas organization 'Heart of Gold'. Wu Kuang invites Su Ping to join him on an upcoming investigation in Linzhou, which Su Ping accepts.
