The spectators found the noise shrill and horrifying, yet it brought them no bodily harm. A resounding hum vibrated from the full defense barrier, with ripples surging over it like stormy waves. Under the intense pressure, the barrier remained steadfast above the arena, unyielding and unbroken.

Within the barrier, unseen sound waves spread out at tremendous velocity. Yabao, nearest to the Sawtooth Dragon, took the full force of the assault.

As Yabao's left front paw hit the ground, a searing, intense pain exploded in his head. His thoughts vanished into emptiness, robbing him of any capacity to reason. Then, his gaze turned vacant and blurry, like after a devastating strike that scrambled his vision.

A fearsome invisible power burst forth around Yabao. The earth heaved upward. Rocks flew in all directions. At the same time, beneath the soil, dark red molten lava bubbled up fiercely.

Though aware the Blazing Divine Lion concealed Lava Purgatory as its ace, Yuan Tianlong's eyes still narrowed sharply at the dreadful crimson glow underground. He bellowed: 'Protect!'

'RUMBLE!'

Boiling lava burst skyward. The terrain abruptly caved in as the molten flow gushed from below like a volcano, shooting high before crashing down across the whole field with devastating might.

The near-golden dark red lava river transformed the arena into hellish inferno. Fire licks leaped and fiery surges splashed; despite the barrier, onlookers sensed the searing intensity, potent enough to dissolve all in its way.

... Spectators gaped at the spectacle in stunned silence.

Even though Yuan Tianlong and Qiao Sang had just commanded 'Dragon Sonic Blast' and 'Lava Purgatory', witnessing it unfold shook everyone deeply.

Beneath lava, Yabao's eyes fluttered open. Blurry doubled foe loomed as awareness slipped. Memories whirled: Tamer drills, Little Treasure, Lubao, Gangbao, Qingbao; foe scouts; bouts; path to now.

BOOM!!!

Fearsome silver-white ray plowed lava. Splashes flew, but prone Yabao vanished.

Stands' Yuan Tianlong-Sawtooth cheers hushed abruptly.

'Saw saw...'

Sensing peril, Sawtooth Dragon glanced skyward. There hovered grounded foe, red-gold flames cloaking, ferocity tripled.

Yuan Tianlong's face darkened.

... Qiao Sang exhaled hugely, joy flooding features. Beast Codex check would show Yabao’s Blaze data spiking wildly.

Tang Xueran broadcast: 'Indeed... Blazing Divine Lion rises! Blaze trait active! Fight continues!'

Flames roared as Yabao streaked red-gold. Ere Sawtooth Dragon reacted, he dove slantwise from above, streaking by to crash home.

BANG!

Sawtooth Dragon hurtled airborne. Yabao maw yawned, red-gold ray lancing instant. Wounded dragon mid-flight ate the blast.

BOOM!

Earth-shaking blast boomed. Flame-laden shockwaves wrecked all.

'SAW SAW!'

Sawtooth Dragon wailed miserably. Yabao wings unfurled, gold flames sheathing form. Mighty beat launched golden streak skyward. Instantly moon-high.

Onlookers gazed awe-struck, sun-moon tandem illusion. Abruptly, the golden comet plunged vertically at horrifying velocity.

.. Yuan Tianlong's visage twisted. Desperate bet: 'Dragon Sonic Blast!'

Sawtooth Dragon craned up, maw wide: 'SAW SAW!!!'

Field defense reignited. Transparent dome cloaked arena. Barrier rippled as invisible force upheaved innards.

The golden comet struck. Terrain cratered hemispherically at epicenter. Scorched stones soared, lava spewed. Impact zone warped from ultra-heat.

Radiant Impact redux still floored crowd, fiercer than before.

Comet glow and blast faded. Clear view: Blazing Divine Lion and Sawtooth Dragon sprawled out cold in vast pit.

Arena muted. Commentators held breath. Mech pet materialized, checked Sawtooth Dragon, then Yabao.

It hoisted blue-white flag, waved.

Crowd hushed.

Tian Yiwan rose, inhaled deep, bellowed passionately: 'Esteemed guests, fans, regional finals verdict: Blazing Divine Lion and Sawtooth Dragon both down. Draw!'

'Score 3:2! Yuan Tianlong deployed all three pets, all felled!'
