Beast Taming Patrol Chapter 1506 - 424: The Storm Has Arrived (2-in-1, Finale Countdown: 27) (Part 3)
Previously on Beast Taming Patrol...
But at this moment...
For what reason do they continue to radiate light in the same manner?
“Click!”
A few breaths later, Ji Qinghuan settled the chaotic waves of her heart. She shut the secret chamber door with a swift motion, instantly masking the complicated and tangled emotions that had surfaced on her face.
By the time she looked up, she had once again donned the majestic and solemn persona of the Sect Master.
“First, journey to the Northern God Region to uncover the precise truth of what occurred.” She inhaled deeply, “Locate Lin Su, regardless of the price!”
“I shall personally oversee this task... hmm?”
Rong Venerate’s words were cut short by a sudden sound of astonishment.
In the following instant, accompanied by a tremendous surge of spatial Dao power, an immortal-tier Dimensional Silver Dragon materialized abruptly within the Sect Master Hall.
Wisps of an immortal aura descended upon the Dimensional Silver Dragon. Despite being at the sixth realm, the dragon began to break into a cold sweat immediately under the pressure.
“Are you from the Northern God Region?” The weathered face of Rong Venerate manifested in the void, his eyes narrowing as he inspected the Dimensional Silver Dragon.
Having mastered the eighth realm of spatial rules, his strength was far more formidable than in the past.
This Dimensional Silver Dragon had traversed the Endless Sea from the Northern God Region. The moment it crossed into the Eastern Extreme Domain's territory, Rong Venerate had sensed its presence and forcibly teleported it here.
“Is this the location of the Immortal Phoenix Sect?” The immortal dragon quickly gathered its wits and spoke with urgency, “Pray, do not be rash. I hail from the Qianling Sect of the Northern God Region. I have come to deliver news regarding Lin Su.”
“Allow it to speak,” Ji Qinghuan commanded firmly, her gaze sharpening with gravity.
Though they shared a previous bond with the Three Beast Taming Sects, the incident involving Lin Su carried a heavy burden of responsibility that those sects could not evade.
In a worst-case scenario, the Three Sects might even be accomplices. Consequently, she saw no reason to offer a warm welcome.
Aware of this tension, the Dimensional Silver Dragon ignored the cold reception from the Immortal Phoenix Sect. Once the crushing pressure from the immortals subsided, it gave a weary smile and provided a comprehensive account of the events.
As the dragon’s tale unfolded, the expressions of Ji Qinghuan and the other immortals began to soften slightly.
“Sect Master, while Lin Su was visiting the Three Sects on our behalf, the Hunyuan Taoist Sect had covertly dispatched a group from the Eastern Extreme Domain into the Endless Sea,” Huan Venerate remarked, suddenly recalling a vital piece of information.
“Hunyuan Taoist Sect...” A flash of icy intent flickered in Ji Qinghuan’s eyes.
If that were true, the puzzle pieces fell into place. If the Immortal Phoenix Sect could reach out to the Northern God Region, the Hunyuan Taoist Sect could just as easily send agents there to plot with the powerful martial lineages of that region.
“The fault lies with me.” The Spirit Master’s voice was heavy with remorse. “I should never have used the remains of the Heavenly Illusion Dragon to reforge Yingying’s body.”
Despite their careful planning, they never anticipated that the Heavenly Illusion Dragon had surviving kin who could track Lin Su through their bloodline connection.
“The Heavenly Illusion Dragon was an outsider from beyond this domain with mysterious roots,” Rong Venerate stated solemnly. “It deserved death for its treacherous assault that led to Crab Venerate’s fall.”
“There is no need for further talk on this,” Ji Qinghuan said, softly cutting him off.
The mention of the Heavenly Illusion Dragon brought back the memory of Ji Heng saving her, stirring the emotions in her heart once more.
Stifling a growing suspicion, Ji Qinghuan spoke with composure, “The one known as the Illusion King is dead; that matter has lost its relevance.”
“Since your sect’s Lin Venerate believes my disciple is currently within the Endless Sea, our sect will send a search party there immediately.”
She turned to the Dimensional Silver Dragon, her tone losing some of its edge. “Extend our gratitude to the Three Sects for their efforts regarding my disciple. Please overlook our earlier hostility.”
Based on the dragon's report, the Three Sects had indeed exerted themselves fully. They could not be held entirely responsible for the outcome.
“Think nothing of it.” The Dimensional Silver Dragon let out a breath of relief. “Shall I return to the Northern God Region now to relay these developments?”
“Very well. There is no need for a formal farewell,” Ji Qinghuan nodded.
Spatial energy rippled through the hall, and the Dimensional Silver Dragon from the Qianling Sect vanished as quickly as it had arrived.
Once the dragon departed, a heavy atmosphere returned to the Sect Master Hall.
“That wretched Hunyuan Taoist Sect!” Rong Venerate growled, his eyes burning with spite. “I have traveled the Endless Sea before. Let me be the one to find Lin Su!”
“Fortunately, I took a precaution before Lin Su departed for the Northern God Region.”
“By triggering that Jade Leaf Ruyi, I left a lingering mark on Lin Su. Provided I am within a certain distance, I will be able to track him.”
“It was merely a safety measure at the time, but now it proves invaluable.”
“That is a relief.”
Upon hearing Rong Venerate’s assurance, Ji Qinghuan’s tension eased slightly, though her anxiety for her disciple remained.
“However, before I depart, I must deliver a wake-up call to certain other sects.” Rong Venerate’s voice dripped with murderous intent, and a moment later, his presence vanished from the hall.
At that same time, a colossal continent suddenly manifested in the sky above the Eastern Extreme Domain.
This landmass appeared to be stitched together from a multitude of different worlds, radiating ancient and mystical auras that dominated the heavens.
Spanning a size equal to a quarter of the entire Eastern Extreme Domain, it descended like an omen of the apocalypse.
Even though its descent was sluggish, the edges of the continent ground against the void, igniting brilliant sparks of fire. The flames began to crawl across the land, threatening to engulf the entire continent in a blaze as it fell.
