"Haha, this stuff might taste a bit awful at first, but you’ll get used to it."
Pan Hai explained to Ye Bai.
"Now you can taste all sorts of wines without getting drunk."
Pan Hai waved his hand, and a wine dragonfly descended from above, perching on his palm.
Pan Hai spotted a tree laden with dangling wine bottles, its fruits resembling various kinds of wine vessels.
"This is the bottle tree refined in the Alchemy Plane, and it can grow all sorts of wine glasses."
"This tree is the bottle tree itself."
Pan Hai introduced it with great pride.
Then he snapped his fingers, causing two goblet glasses to drop from the sky into his hand.
"Have a taste; the wine dragonfly’s alcohol content is very low."
The wine dragonfly dipped its large tail into the wine glass, and with a few gulps, the glass filled up instantly.
Gazing at the brimming glass of wine, Ye Bai took a sip.
A rich, mellow flavor lingered in his mouth, leaving Ye Bai at a loss for words except to utter, "Delicious."
"Tastes good, right?"
Pan Hai downed the entire glass in one go, like a thirsty beast gulping water.
"Let me try the flavor of the White Tiger liquor."
Pan Hai approached the White Tiger and sliced its skin with his finger, white blood surging from the cut.
Once the glass was full, the wound healed on its own.
He took a sip first, and his eyes brightened at once. This wine packs a punch!
"Delicious!"
Pan Hai slapped his thigh with a resounding smack.
"This is the Flame Country’s national liquor, naturally extraordinary."
"It’s getting late; I need to find a Plane Merchant for a trade."
Ye Bai sighed and prepared to seek out a Plane Merchant for trading.
"Don’t say it; I really know where the Plane Merchant is."
"It’s not far from Wine Island."
This time, Pan Hai appeared trustworthy. Before the Plane Merchant reached this Sea God World, he led Ye Bai to an ancient teleportation gate.
"No banquet is complete without wine; we must prepare some snacks for the Plane Merchant to pair with the drinks."
Suddenly, the sea churned, and a mantis shrimp with a peacock tail emerged from the waves.
It was adorned with swirling white water flows.
"This is my old pet."
"Flower, it’s been so long. Did you miss me?"
Pan Hai waved awkwardly, only to receive a devastating punch from the mantis shrimp.
His body exploded into fragments instantly.
"Your pet’s greeting style is truly unique."
Ye Bai remarked with a grin to the embarrassed Pan Hai.
The soil quickly reformed: "Flower, it’s me, Flower!"
But Pan Hai’s next enthusiastic attempt earned him another shattering blow.
Bam.
Pan Hai’s body shattered once more.
Before he could regroup, the mantis shrimp hammered away relentlessly at him.
It seemed intent on pulverizing Pan Hai completely.
"It’s truly your pet; it’s so close to you."
Ye Bai commented smilingly to Pan Hai.
"Help, save me!"
Pan Hai, battered like a punching bag, cried out desperately for aid.
The mantis shrimp, showing no signs of tiring, kept swinging its fists at Pan Hai.
Bam.
Pan Hai’s Divine Right Hand was knocked flying, crashing onto the ground with a thud.
The soil-formed body crumbled apart, this assault completely breaking Pan Hai’s calm.
It left him feeling profoundly humiliated.
He was thoroughly shamed by the mantis shrimp.
So curious, truly curious!
But for the moment, he couldn’t overpower the mantis shrimp and had to yield.
"Help me, help me!"
Just as the mantis shrimp was poised to smash Pan Hai’s right hand to pieces, the Sunflower Fairy stepped in.
Sunflower Fairy divided into countless clones.
These clones enveloped the mantis shrimp entirely.
Just when Pan Hai believed the mantis shrimp was restrained, its eyes gleamed sharply.
It turned into a streak of light, shredding the vine bonds, and lunged a punch straight at Ye Bai.
It was convinced Ye Bai was blocking its chance to finish off Pan Hai.
Yet, right before striking Ye Bai, its body was ripped apart by innumerable fine threads, scattering across the ground.
The crystal-clear shrimp meat emerged, neatly arranged into a dish by the Sunflower Fairy.
Then, the teleportation gate erupted in brilliant light.
A strikingly handsome blonde Plane Merchant materialized before Ye Bai.
"Hello, friend, hope I’m not interrupting."
The Plane Merchant greeted Ye Bai smoothly.
He indicated the lens over his eye.
"This is an instant translator, capable of translating millions of languages in real-time."
"Your language is from the Cultivation Plane. Hello, my friend."
Politely, the Plane Merchant spoke.
"Greetings, my friend. How wonderful to welcome companions from distant places!"
"I’m thrilled to encounter you. Care to sample some exquisite wine?"
Ye Bai snapped his fingers, prompting the Heaven-Swallowing Pelican to eject a finely made glass.
Wings buzzing, the Wine Dragonfly flew through the sky, releasing abundant wine from its curved tail.
A potent wine fragrance drifted up from the glass.
Inhaling deeply, the Plane Merchant sounded utterly captivated.
"Such a smooth bouquet. Enjoying fine wine amid a stunning ocean view—what bliss!"
After downing a glass, a faint flush colored the Plane Merchant’s cheeks.
He belched loudly, expelling a wave of wine scent.
"Fine wine without matching appetizers feels somewhat lacking."
"Let’s try a different brew then."
Ye Bai snapped his fingers again, summoning the White Tiger behind him.
"Shrimp flesh from a Tier Seven Peacock-Tailed Mantis Shrimp, ideal with potent white spirits."
"Chopsticks are required to grasp the shrimp meat."
For his first attempt with chopsticks, the Plane Merchant struggled repeatedly to lift the translucent shrimp meat.
Anxiety flickered across his face at that instant.
"Relax, friend."
"No rush."
"I’m confident a clever person like you will master it soon."
Boosted by Ye Bai’s words, the buzzed Plane Merchant persisted a bit longer and at last seized the shrimp meat.
As it touched his tongue, the crisp, springy texture burst to life.
A bold oceanic taste filled his mouth persistently.
Sheer delight exploded within.
"Excellent, excellent, excellent."
The flavor proved truly superb.
"This taste hits the spot."
Ye Bai gestured to the white liquor he held, grinning.
"A small sip elevates it to perfection."
Intrigued by Ye Bai’s suggestion, the Plane Merchant sipped tentatively, noting the transformed flavor.
"Well? Doesn’t this combination shine?"
"Haha, friend, I hail from the Magic Plane as a wandering trader named Caesar."
"Folks call me the Plane Merchant—I dart across multiple planes, bartering all sorts of goods."
"Got items for trade? I can handle the deals."
Devouring the shrimp meat swiftly, Caesar polished it off.
"Taste is spot on."
"I’ve got some treasures—see if they catch your eye."
"Trade me the Wine Dragonfly and White Tiger."
Hearing Caesar’s offer, Ye Bai grinned.
"Caesar, delighted. Mind showing your wares for my evaluation?"
Caesar nodded. "Business thrives on agreement from both sides."
"Behold my inventory—pick what appeals."
Three glowing orbs materialized before Ye Bai. Inspecting these items, his eyes bulged in surprise.
