Seeing his fists, Chiang Qing laughed, "Do you think I’m an idiot? If I let her go, what do I have left to rely on?"
"Chiang Qing, if you dare touch my mom again, I’ll kill you!" Qi Taiguo shouted harshly.
"Go ahead!" Chiang Qing pushed the syringe closer to Mother Qi’s neck, making her scream in terror.
Qi Taiguo’s heart felt like it was being ripped apart.
Even though she hadn’t led a pampered life, when had she ever suffered such torment and hardship?
"Chiang Qing, we talked about this, didn’t you understand?" Cheng Su stepped forward two paces, saying, "Let go of my mother-in-law, I’ll be your hostage. I’ll be of more use!"
"You sly little bitch, trying to trick me again!" Chiang Qing laughed.
"How would I deceive you? What good would that do me now?" Cheng Su stepped forward again, saying, "Don’t you hate me for taking Qi Taiguo away from you? I’m his wife. If I’m in your hands, even if I die with you, it would still fulfill your wish!"
"Cheng Su!" Qi Taiguo shouted.
Cheng Su waved her hand, ignoring him, and continued, "You see how worried he is about me, you can see it. Having me as your leverage is the most useful option. But if you harm my mother-in-law, what will you rely on if something bad happens to her? Qi Taiguo and I will remain untouched. But if you exchange me, that’s a different story. Surely you can calculate the account?"
Chiang Qing watched her, her mind racing. Of course, she knew that Cheng Su would be more valuable; if the old woman died, she just dies, but Cheng Su still had happiness.
However, the old woman had no strength left, while Cheng Su, being young, had more strength. If she resisted, what then?

"Old lady, see, it’s not I who won’t let you go, it’s your son and daughter-in-law who are unwilling. Tsk tsk, poor thing!" Chiang Qing incited by Mother Qi’s ear.
Mother Qi weakly raised her eyes, looking at her son, then at Cheng Su, tears streaming down, utterly pitiful.
"Chiang Qing, you can’t sow discord here; it won’t work on me!" Qi Taiguo gritted his teeth, "I’ll jump, fine!"
"No, no, you mustn’t. Qi Taiguo, how could I bear for you to die? I once loved you so much!" Chiang Qing chuckled, "Now you have only one choice: to save your mom or let your wife jump. Choose one!"
Qi Taiguo said nothing as a flurry of footsteps rushed in, and a crowd of police officers arrived.
"If anyone comes closer, I’ll kill her!" Chiang Qing immediately pricked Mother Qi’s skin with the syringe, shouting, "All of you, leave!"
"Chiang Qing, I agree with you!" Cheng Su saw it clearly and quickly spoke, trying to calm her down, "I agree, I’ll jump!"
