No matter how you look at it, being with your own biological parents is always more comfortable than living with your in-laws. Even though there are differences in thinking between the generations, because they’re your parents, there’s much more room for mutual tolerance.
Take spending money, for instance. If it were in front of my mother-in-law, walking in with large bags would likely make her call me wasteful. But with my parents, while they might comment that I buy too many things, they certainly wouldn’t say I only spend without earning.
So, there is more laughter in the house.
With my parents helping to take care of Xiao Qi, I can comfortably deal with the remainder of my academic work. With just a few months left until graduation, and with most of my courses completed, I don’t have to go to school every day. I have more time now, just waiting to get my diploma.
During these four years at university, although I took more leave than most, because of the foundation from my past life, I didn’t fall behind in my studies at all. My exam results have always been excellent, and in the eyes of other students, I’m practically an academic genius.

"Cheng Su, another big company wants to hire you. Aren’t you considering it this time? I heard it’s a major state-owned enterprise!" someone asked Cheng Su.
With graduation approaching, many peers have been consecutively hired by some companies, and Cheng Su is no exception. As a well-known academic talent, many companies and institutions want to hire her, offering excellent conditions and benefits.
But does Cheng Su need it? She’s already running her own business; why would she need to work for someone else? "Being a boss requires exhausting all your effort. You guys, the ’working emperors,’ are living like lords," Cheng Su laughed.
Whether what she said was a compliment or criticism, everyone naturally had their own thoughts, but Cheng Su was speaking the truth for herself; being a boss isn’t easy at all.
School could already be put aside, and with extra time, apart from managing the restaurant and Joy Soon Loy Jam Company, Cheng Su communicates with Zhan Qin about the company’s affairs remotely. In her free time, she also writes business development proposals and takes care of Qi Xiaoqi.
Days flow by in this kind of calm. During the day, Cheng Su is busy, and only at night, when it’s quiet, does she think about Qi Taiguo.
After the New Year, because Song Jiaying met with her while bringing the child to visit, she now occasionally calls her to talk about the child and the clinginess of Ning Ge.
She often receives calls from Ning Ge, usually asking what Song Jiaying and she talked about, seeking her advice to help him court his wife.
