The next day, Shen Rong was not at the Summer Resort. Chiang Qing sat dazed in the living room, thinking about last night’s conversation with Shen Rong, and couldn’t help but squeeze out a cold sweat for herself.
She was too reckless, nearly losing her composure and provoking Shen Rong to anger.
"Third Madam, Master Nephew is here," a servant said to Chiang Qing.
Chiang Qing frowned, and before she could speak, she saw Chiang Tian swagger in with a manila envelope, plopping himself down on the sofa.
"What are you doing here again? Ran out of money?" Chiang Qing’s face looked unpleasant.
Chiang Tian glanced at her and said, "Of course I’m here to bring you the things you wanted!" With that, he tossed the manila envelope onto the coffee table.
The things she wanted? What?
Chiang Qing was taken aback.
Instinctively, she took the manila envelope, opened it, and poured its contents out. What appeared were a series of photographs.
She picked them up one by one, and her face alternated between red and white. These photos were all of Cheng Su and their family’s daily life. Where did these come from?
"Where did you get these photos?" Chiang Qing asked Chiang Tian.
Chiang Tian gave her a strange look and said, "Didn’t you ask me to find someone to follow them and take pictures? Of course, a private detective took them!"
How bizarre. Clearly, she was the one who asked him to check into Cheng Su’s life, and now she’s questioning him about how he got the photos. Is this woman crazy?
"I asked you to follow them?" Chiang Qing looked bewildered, her eyes wide as she stared at him, "When did I ask you to do that?"
"Are you dumb? Two or three months ago, didn’t you tell me you wanted to know about her situation?" Chiang Tian looked her up and down, slightly straightening his posture, "Could you have forgotten about that?"
Chiang Qing was stunned.
It’s not that she forgot about it; she genuinely didn’t know anything about it.
Seeing her expression that seemed genuine and not feigned ignorance, Chiang Tian became nervous. Looking around, he found only the two siblings were in the living room, so he lowered his voice, "Sis, could it be... you’re having another episode?" He pointed to his head.
Otherwise, why would she not remember?
Chiang Qing grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, glaring angrily.
"Why are you angry? It’s just the two of us here," Chiang Tian caught the pillow and said, "If you feel something’s off, I advise you to get checked out and see a doctor for some medication."
His concern was heartfelt, but Chiang Qing found it infuriating, and coldly said, "If you say that again, get out immediately, and don’t expect me to send you any more money."
Chiang Tian said, "If you weren’t my sister, would I even say these things? I’m only looking out for you. By the way, does my brother-in-law know about your condition?"
"Chiang Tian!" Chiang Qing nearly screamed.
"Alright, alright, ungrateful soul, I won’t say it anymore," Chiang Tian raised his hands, "Let’s drop it. I’ve handed over the homework to you. This detective cost me a lot, and I’m out of money. Could you transfer some more into my account? The bill’s not settled yet!"
Chiang Qing took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, and asked, "First, tell me, did I really ask you to do this?"
Now, Chiang Tian was about to go crazy, rolling his eyes and saying, "If it weren’t for you, why would I, being full and waiting to shit, go looking for trouble by investigating this woman’s business? It’s of no benefit to me."
Chiang Qing furrowed her brows even more deeply. Her gaze fell on the photos. How could she have no memory of this? What on earth was going on?
