Old Master Cheng put down the large brush in his hand, glanced at her, and said, "When did you become so hesitant in your speech?"

"He is the grandson of an old comrade of mine. The child is unfortunate, as his parents passed away early. Later, his grandfather also passed, and entrusted him to me. Over the years, I’ve been supporting him, and he just recently returned from abroad," Old Master Cheng explained.

Cheng Su realized why Zhan Qin listened to Old Master Cheng so well.

If you entrust the shop to him, let him manage it however he wants," Old Master Cheng said, looking at her. "A person who is proud usually has some talent. Girl, you must have a discerning eye."

Cheng Suxin fluttered, nodded, and added, "If second brother and the others find out you’ve given me such a talent, who knows how jealous they’ll become."

Old Master Cheng laughed heartily and said, "Your second brother and the others already have plenty of talented teams at their hands. Would they really compete with you? Would they dare!"

Cheng Su felt reassured and giggled, "You always look out for me."

Old Master Cheng lightly poked her forehead and shook his head with a laugh.

When Zhan Qin later found Old Master Cheng to discuss matters, he also expressed his views on Cheng Su.

"My goddaughter has a fair amount of skill and luck. It’s not about you following her lead, but you should cooperate with her.
