Little Yu faces pressure from her sisters-in-law, who demand her successful bun shop recipe. Her parents-in-law also urge her to share, but Little Yu is hesitant, having developed the recipe herself. Cheng Su advises her to consider a franchising model, charging a fee for the recipe and brand name, which intrigues Little Yu as a way to expand her business and appease her family.

After concluding a discussion with Little Yu concerning the bakery's expansion, it was nearly late afternoon when she bid her adieu and departed. Mother Cheng, encountering Little Yu for the first time, inquired about her background. Upon learning that Little Yu was a widow and her late husband had once saved Qi Taiguo, she instructed Cheng Su to treat her with great kindness.

"Human connections hold more value than wealth, and life itself is paramount. That man sacrificed his life, so even if you incur some financial loss, it is acceptable. Do not let them feel neglected," Mother Cheng advised.

Cheng Su readily agreed, a sentiment she naturally shared. She did, however, mention some of the challenges involved. Mother Cheng sighed, "Every family contends with troublesome relatives; our own is no exception."

Wasn't that the honest truth? However, when Cheng Su brought up her initial idea back home, Little Yu's two sisters-in-law had twisted it into something unrecognizable.

Regardless of their interpretations, the proposal had been presented. The decision to proceed rested entirely with them. Offering it up for free was simply out of the question. If it were their own family, would they simply hand over a profitable recipe without any compensation?

Following a period of conversation with her mother, the telephone rang. Cheng Su rose to answer it. The call was from her elder sister, announcing her intention to take two days of leave starting tomorrow to return to their hometown.

"The New Year is fast approaching. Why are you heading back now?" Cheng Su inquired, a touch of bewilderment in her voice.

Qi Fenglian paused for a considerable duration on the other end before revealing her reason.

It transpired that she was preparing to formalize her marriage with Chu Changxing. This journey was intended to be a formal introduction to her future in-laws and to inform them of their upcoming marriage registration.

"Oh my, you're getting married?" Although Cheng Su had anticipated this possibility, hearing the confirmation filled her with genuine happiness.

"Yes, his son returned a few days ago. We've all met, and the interaction was quite positive. His son suggested that since we are of similar age and the New Year is nearing, we might as well register our marriage and celebrate it as a family," Qi Fenglian's laughter echoed through the phone. "With his son's encouragement, he naturally wishes to marry soon as well. This year, we won't have to spend the New Year apart."

"Sister, I wholeheartedly congratulate you." Cheng Su felt sincere joy for her sister and inquired, "Is his son a good person? What are your impressions of him?"

"He is an upright and dutiful young man. He mentioned he had long hoped for his father to remarry. Currently, he holds a junior management position at a factory in the Special Zone and earns his own income. He is doing quite well!" Qi Fenglian's tone conveyed a sense of ease.

Only then did Cheng Su feel genuinely reassured and said, "In that case, delegate your responsibilities to your subordinates and head home."

"Understood!" Qi Fenglian replied. "After visiting Mom and Dad, we will proceed directly to register our marriage. At our age, it's about finding contentment in life. We aren't planning an elaborate wedding ceremony. We'll return during the New Year for a family meal to celebrate our union."

Cheng Su understood that many second marriages forgo grand celebrations. A simple family gathering often suffices to mark the occasion, a reality that did not surprise her.

After the call ended, Mother Cheng leaned forward eagerly and asked, "Is your elder sister remarrying?"

Cheng Su smiled and confirmed the news.

Mother Cheng exclaimed, "That is truly wonderful news. Your elder sister has finally found happiness once more. May Heaven bless her with a smooth and loving marriage that lasts a lifetime."

Wasn't that the absolute truth? It requires considerable courage to embark on remarriage. Anyone wishing her well would undoubtedly share this sentiment.

"That's marvelous. I was concerned that if your elder sister remained unmarried, you all might have to depend on her in the future!" Mother Cheng revealed a hint of her underlying anxieties.

"Mom, she has a son!" Cheng Su responded, a mix of amusement and gentle exasperation coloring her voice.

"That's not the same thing." Mother Cheng gave her a stern look. "Having a man around still makes a difference. A son has his own life and concerns."

Cheng Su merely shook her head, choosing not to engage further, and returned to her work.
