"I once forged miracles that amazed you. Now, you're forging a miracle for me…" A torrent of emotions swirled in the system's eyes, blending joy and relief.
In that instant, the Ultimate Heavenly Dao bellowed, "Judgment!" For the first time since the fight began, he completely lost control.
The Spear of Judgment, crackling with lightning, hurtled toward Su Ping with unrelenting force, as though it could tear apart the farthest reaches of chaos.
Even before the strike hit, Su Ping sensed himself already impaled. It felt like plummeting into a bottomless pit or being nailed inside a tomb. Movement was impossible for him.
Snapping out of a brief daze, Su Ping roared and gathered every bit of his power, unleashing a ferocious slash.
Countless lives flickered out, including many humans among them.
Disciples from the Heaven Path Institute were also caught in it. Their existences burned away like fleeting matches, crumbling into ashes and vanishing.
A single slash wiped out half of those lives!
The tattered, summoned universes dimmed in their glow.
The universe's mightiest energies clashed head-on.
Two collision booms rang out, nearly simultaneous!
The system abandoned her usual calm and screamed, "What are you doing?!" Never before had she shown such discomposure.
The devastating spear pierced straight through Su Ping's body. Meanwhile, his sword bypassed the Spear of Judgment entirely, slicing directly at the fusion point of the Ultimate Heavenly Dao and the Chaos Core.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!"
Like a savage beast in agony, the Ultimate Heavenly Dao unleashed a savage roar. He was torn away from the Chaos Core, stripped of his sacred aura.
The spear ravaged Su Ping's body massively. A massive fissure spread from the injury, relentlessly devouring his form. He couldn't halt it; his body resembled fragile pottery on the verge of shattering into countless shards.
Yet Su Ping wore a grin.
He laughed softly and declared, "I won't perish alongside a fool like you. I just want you to return home!" Words came hard, but the spark in his eyes shone undimmed.
"You must die!!"
The Ultimate Heavenly Dao roared in rage. "You believe you can break my bond with the Chaos Core? It chose me already. Die!"
Even as he spat his fury, his form clung to the Chaos Core like adhesive, sealing the gash Su Ping had inflicted.
"He's correct. It chose him already. No use." Sorrow filled the system's gaze as she sighed. She grasped Su Ping's plan; as chaos's noblest being, she too craved power like any mortal.
Strength had been hers from birth. She never sought it.
"Even if the core selected you, I'll force it to reconsider!"
Su Ping fixed his gaze on the Ultimate Heavenly Dao.
"You…" Fury twisted the latter's face. He started to speak, but froze the next instant. Realization dawned, restoring his composure. In a venomous voice, he declared, "You wasted a chance to cripple me badly. That moment's passed."
"What did you do?"
The system detected Su Ping's consciousness departing his body. Shock mixed with unprecedented dread gripped her. Never had fear touched her, not even in past defeats or witnessing the Ultimate Heavenly Dao merge with the Chaos Core.
Her ancient supremacy had rendered her invincible. Fear was alien to her.
But fear struck her now.
Her urgent calls went unanswered by Su Ping's consciousness. Then it hit her—she glanced at the rift torn in the Ultimate Heavenly Dao.
"He's beyond saving. Time to finish this," the Ultimate Heavenly Dao sneered coldly. "I'll make him witness my vision and torment. He'll learn the nightmare world you've crafted!"
The system stood speechless, fully comprehending Su Ping's bold gambit.
Meanwhile—
Within the Chaos Core's domain.
The realm resembled thick mud, hazy between darkness and light. It birthed chaos itself, spawning all laws and Great Daos; here every force and shape originated.
"Daring to enter here on your own… Seeking death, are you?" A scornful voice echoed.
From the murky mass rose a radiant figure—the Ultimate Heavenly Dao himself.
Beside him appeared a young child, a projection tailored to Su Ping's mind.
Su Ping knew instantly: that child embodied the Chaos Core.
Clearly, the child bore a striking likeness to the system.
Su Ping unleashed his contract energy, pouring his unreserved will and feelings into the Chaos Core's image.
His earlier severing of the Heavenly Dao's link wasn't mere division—it projected his own determination.
Gazing at the Chaos Core, Su Ping stated, "I know every being across endless eras is but a speck shedding from you. Yet she committed no fault; you shouldn't have abandoned her.
"I've come to convince you to rethink. Everything's in my mind. You must sense it already."
"Foolish!"
The Ultimate Heavenly Dao scoffed. "I see your purpose. But do you grasp why it chose me?"
