Vale recognized Queen Sabrina as Sabrina Hoffman from the Shadow Realm, pondering her unexpected role and possible ties to the Hoffman Family amid growing suspicions. He advised his students via telepathy to stay focused on the Knight's Path competition, an elimination tournament featuring armored combatants wielding weapons and spells without artifact restrictions. As battles commenced with clashes of steel and cheers for favorites like Kildare and Hervont, Vale sensed the familiar aura of the Golden Immortal Adam among Hervont's coaches.

Vale was no stranger to Adam, the Golden Immortal. As a disciple under the Blood Soulcaster—one of the Paragons—he had previously battled side by side with Vale against the Chaos Immortals… or at minimum, against Mennena.

Though not true friends, they were certainly no enemies. Vale even regarded Adam as nearly a friend, a hidden guardian of the realm operating in his personal manner.

However, this situation changed everything.

Nevertheless, confusion gripped him.

From what Vale recalled, Adam's sole mission was to eradicate Mennena, the Arch Fey. That objective was fulfilled long ago, with Mennena now sealed away.

Vale figured Adam would resume his original journey, fulfilling the Paragons' responsibilities.

But there he stood, part of the coaching staff at Hervont Knights Academy.

Vale narrowed his eyes. 'Why is Adam helping another academy? Is this place one of the Paragons' Academies?'

This idea stirred some worry within him…

Was Adam genuinely instructing these students? Guiding their skills, fortifying their Spell Models, or maybe sharing bits of his Divinity?

In that case, Hervont's knight trainees weren't just rivals—they were fighters molded by a Paragon's disciple, capable of challenging Vale's own knight trainees.

Vale's pupils, empowered by Zerel the Ancient Lightning Dragon, possessed great strength. Yet Adam's involvement shifted the scales in unpredictable ways.

Even so, Vale held back. He avoided calling out to Adam or trying telepathic contact.

He simply observed in silence…

His instincts urged restraint. Adam's choice to join the tournament surely had purpose, so Vale decided to watch for now.

Yet curiosity nagged at him about whether the Hervont knights facing his students had been personally trained by Adam.

The announcers declared the next bout, drawing the crowd's focus.

Gelo emerged from Hervont Knights Academy, a broad-shouldered trainee…

By now, it wasn't shocking for a 15-year-old to appear so rugged, thanks to the rampant spread of various drugs…

Still, his armor shone with runic inscriptions, his longsword throbbed subtly with Arcane Energy, marking him clearly as one of Hervont's top prospects, honed by the empire's rigorous martial heritage.

Jericho, one of Vale's three Knight Path trainees, faced him.

Jericho's armor was plainer, crafted in Marshall Academy's fresh smithy, yet faint lightning arcs flickered over its surface.

"Let's see which Foundational Spells prove superior." Vale whispered to himself…

He had just gotten a report from the Bureau detailing Hervont Knights Academy's core trio: Steel Guard, Blade Channel, and Imperial Rally Spells.

The Steel Guard Spell, true to its name, channeled Arcane Energy into armor for defense. Blade Channel infused weapons with Arcane Energy, enabling deeper cuts and greater durability.

Imperial Rally, meanwhile, offered support by enhancing strength and stamina—ideal for group fights yet useful in one-on-one duels.

These spells anchored Hervont's regimen, perfected over centuries of imperial conflicts.

In contrast, Marshall Academy's Foundational Spells consisted of Arcane Infusion, Storm Step, and Dragon Guard.

Arcane Infusion directed energy into weapons, rendering not only blades but also armors and accessories tougher and more Spell-resistant.

Storm Step provided swift mobility through brief speed surges, while Dragon Guard was a defensive spell from Zerel himself, adjusted slightly for human limits…

Despite the Knight branch at Marshall being recent, these spells stood out, forged by Zerel's Dragon Blessing.

The announcer boomed: "Begin!"

The battle erupted without delay.

Gelo charged boldly, his longsword igniting as Blade Channel activated.

"Ha!"

His blows landed with crushing weight, aiming to overpower the smaller Marshall Academy student…

Yet Jericho confronted him directly, bolstered by Arcane Infusion!

Clank!

A shockwave rippled from their initial collision across the arena…

Steel clashed against steel. Sparks erupted.

Gelo surged ahead, unleashing his full prowess, his imperial knight defense letting him attack more boldly!

His armor absorbed nearly all of Jericho's assaults! He countered effortlessly, driving Jericho backward.

Jericho stayed composed, noting his Magic Zone outspanned Gelo's!

This let Storm Step pull him effortlessly from Gelo's reach!

Suddenly, he flanked Gelo!

His blade then hammered Gelo's shoulder!

Boom!

Gelo's armor shielded him, but he staggered. Imperial Rally soon kicked in, replenishing his stamina. He spun swiftly, longsword slicing the air and repelling Jericho.

The fight dragged on briefly…

Gelo's precise, controlled assaults versus Jericho's explosive speed and lightning power.

"You can finish this now… Impressive, but Adam doesn't seem heavily involved, huh…" Vale murmured.

Adam's touch was scarce in Gelo's style. The imperial footwork was keen beyond typical trainees… They could triumph over other academies, but sadly, every student Vale brought boasted at least 20 Spirit Strands!

Hervont Academy stood no chance whatsoever.

At last, Jericho summoned Dragon Guard. A slender lightning barrier cloaked him, bouncing back Gelo's falling blade.

Boom!

The crowd drew sharp breaths as the blow deflected harmlessly, sparks spraying everywhere.

Jericho capitalized instantly. Lightning Blessing surged through his blade, Storm Step launching his body forward.

He bridged the gap in a blink and slammed Gelo's chestplate with explosive might.

The blow cracked Steel Guard apart, lightning flooding Gelo's armor. The imperial knight tried rallying more energy—maybe for a Forbidden Spell—but Jericho crushed it with a knee strike!

Thud!

With that, the announcer declared… "Victory! Jericho of Marshall Academy!"

Vale nodded, as victory was anticipated.

Even so, he marked Jericho as another candidate for the Valor Realm!

Truth be told, even without immediate conquest of the realm Cyper's team found, they could dispatch young Arcanists to begin scouting… This tournament would select the three with under 30 Spirit Strands for dispatch to that other realm!
