Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1116: Obligations
In the meantime, before Vale could resume his pursuit of the Chaos Immortals, or force them to accept his rule, he knew the Shadow Domain needed some changes or added defense.
For now, he decided to work on his new Immortal Tower.
It was time to use this precious item or artifact.
Clack~
The sealed tower from Seven was like a toy-like structure, no taller than his palm. But appearances were deceiving.
This miniature construct was a true Immortal Tower, compressed and sealed by ancient techniques. All it needed was a proper location and a master’s will to awaken.
Vale had already chosen the site.
The northernmost region of the Shadow Domain only had one structure. It was Constance’s Tower that was still quite far from the spot he had selected.
He chose a cold, wind-swept plateau surrounded by cliffs, which was quite difficult to visit since it didn’t have a road just yet... No cities stood here, no settlements, and just raw land that was untouched, unclaimed, and perfect for what he had in mind.
He arrived alone.
The sky above was cloudy, and the wind howled across the stone... It seemed like a bad area to build a structure, but Vale didn’t care...
"This is a decent place." Vale muttered as he stood firm with his cloak flowing behind him while he surveyed the terrain.
There weren’t many differences in terms of Arcane Energy abundance, but he didn’t care.
"This will do," he said.
He raised his hand, and the sealed tower floated from his spatial ring. It hovered above his palm...
It was indeed small, unassuming, and carved with intricate runes that Seven had placed to seal it...
He placed it on the ground, specifically at the center of the spot he had selected.
Then he activated the seal.
A pulse of energy rippled outward, shaking the earth beneath his feet. The runes on the toy-like tower activated, and the structure began to expand.
It started slowly at first, then rapidly lengthened and released a wave of powerful Divinity, alarming many other people.
Stone unfolded from compressed space, and walls stretched upward.
In just a few moments, foundations anchored themselves into the bedrock.
Within moments, the tiny construct had grown into a towering structure.
Just like what Seven mentioned, it was six stories tall, forged from obsidian and shadowsteel, with various special runes etched into every surface.
Vale stepped back, watching as the final wave of energy pulsed throughout the surroundings.
The Immortal Tower was complete just like that!
"Beautiful... I should’ve considered taking more of them. I wonder if Kaela and the others also packed their Towers." Vale mused as he knew that these wealthy Immortals should have their own towers as well. This was especially true for Kaela, who had an Arcane Immortal as a father.
Nonetheless, Vale immediately knew that he had to do something about the aura coming off the Immortal Tower. It was certainly impressive with its oppressive power that could surely protect it from external elements.
However, he felt that it was also quite unnecessary to have such a powerful repelling force.
’I can work on that later. Maybe placing another Formation Array around it would solve this.’ Vale mused.
From this point forward, the Shadow Domain would have two command centers. The first one was still the Shadow Castle. The Immortal Tower, on the other hand, would be his personal building where others could also visit if the Shadow Castle was compromised.
Perhaps, he could even accept other students, apprentices, or maybe even disciples and train them here inside his tower...
’That’s actually a good idea.’
For now, Vale connected his Divine Sense to the Tower’s core to completely understand how it works. After several minutes of exploring through his Divine Sense, Vale finally felt satisfied and nodded.
"Hmm... So that’s how it is..." He raised his hand again, and a series of formation nodes activated around the tower...
They were barrier nodes, teleportation gates, and spiritual amplifiers that would slowly gather the energy deep underground and convert it into Spirit Stones!
Soon, the entire Shadow Domain would feel its presence.
Vale stood at the base of the tower to appreciate it for some time before he finally entered through the gate....

In the meantime, while Vale was busy with his Immortal Tower, Kaela’s group was also enjoying their stay in this realm...
At this time, their group was inside a huge estate... It was a structure of elegant stone, at least from the standard of this low realm.
Still, though it could easily house over a hundred guests, only a handful of its rooms were occupied.
This was the residence assigned to Kaela and her retinue.
Twelve servants managed the estate... They were efficient and handpicked by Magnus himself. They handled the cleaning, cooking, and daily maintenance without ever intruding on their masters’ privacy. It was a quiet arrangement, and Kaela preferred it that way.
Despite the manor being located in the lower realm, where Divinity was scarce and the ambient energy felt thin and diluted, Kaela found herself surprisingly at ease.
What she liked most wasn’t the architecture or the view, though both were impressive, but the silence.
The stillness she felt inside this realm...
Here, there were no courtly obligations. No endless banquets and no subtle threats behind polite smiles of other noble figures...
There was just the wind, the trees, and the occasional rustle of summoned beasts in the distance.
"Hmm... They have a lot of Summoning Arts Practitioners coming to the city these days..." Kaela mused to herself as she felt their presence even from afar...
She stood on the balcony of her private chamber, and behind her, two figures approached.
Ryn and Elvar, both Sky Immortals like herself, were her sworn bodyguards.
"Still not used to the air here?" Ryn asked after seeing Kaela take a deep, long breath.
Kaela shook her head. "It’s not the air. It’s the stillness of this place... I didn’t think I’d enjoy it this much."
Elvar chuckled as he heard this. "You say that now. Wait until the boredom sets in."
Kaela smiled. "Maybe. But for now, I’ll take the peace."
As she said this, something exciting suddenly came knocking at the gates of their manor...
