Ethan recovers and devises a plan to eliminate his pursuers. He intends to lure them into a dangerous mountain range inhabited by a powerful beast, using a skyship to draw attention while he personally handles the enemies within his Deadlock Dimension. Meanwhile, the enemy fighters outside the dimension grow impatient and frustrated, ultimately being surprised by Ethan and his group's sudden reappearance.

The members of the various races were startled when the pinnacle-race fighters disappeared.

"Are those lords going to be killed too?"

They had finally gotten a group of powerful pinnacle-race reinforcements. Nothing could happen to them now.

"Impossible. Those lords are incredibly powerful. That human dragged them in without thinking—he’s digging his own grave. I’m sure they’ll kill him soon!"

"Exactly! That human is asking to die!"

The members of the various races eagerly agreed.

Chris and the others rolled their eyes but paid them no attention. They hurried over to the massive arcane skyship and jumped aboard.

"What are they doing? Are they trying to steal the arcane skyship?"

"Isn’t that obvious?"

"Do they have a death wish? An arcane skyship represents the pinnacle races! No one would dare touch it!"

"Uh... I don’t think there’s much these humans wouldn’t dare to do. They just killed two pinnacle-race fighters."

"..."

"It doesn’t matter. Even if they take it, they won’t know how to operate it. Once those lords come back out, the humans are dead."

The Galeborn had barely finished speaking when the skyship slowly rose into the air.

"!"

"Bye!"

The squad waved down at them, and the skyship shot into the distance.

"..."

"What do we do? They stole those lords’ skyship. When the lords come out, they’re going to be furious."

"What can we do? It’s not our fault. We couldn’t have stopped them."

"That’s true. Let’s just hope those lords are in a forgiving mood."

Meanwhile, the Outland Beasts immediately began retreating once the terrifying fighters disappeared.

There was no point in continuing the battle. When those fighters returned, they might take out their anger on the beasts. Leaving now was the safer choice.

They would have to settle the losses from this battle another time.

Inside the Deadlock Dimension...

The pinnacle-race fighters surveyed the separate dimension. When they felt their strength being suppressed, shock appeared on their faces.

Spatial-type abilities truly were terrifying.

Still, they weren’t particularly worried. Even with their strength suppressed, there were more than a dozen of them, all at the peak of Tier 41.

Why would they fear one Tier 39 human?

"This spatial-type ability is impressive, but do you really think suppressing our strength will let you fight us? You’re dreaming."

"There’s no harm in trying, right?" Ethan replied casually.

"Hmph. Then we’ll show you that no matter how many tricks you have, they’re worthless in the face of overwhelming power!"

"Attack together. Finish this quickly!"

"Agreed!"

They attacked at once, unleashing a barrage of terrifying abilities that bore down on Ethan.

Ethan immediately activated Nullspace Domain and teleported into the distance.

These people’s abilities were no joke. He couldn’t take them head-on.

They might not be powerful enough to break through Nullspace Domain, but absorbing all those attacks would drain an enormous amount of mental energy.

"You can’t escape!"

The fighters refused to let up, sending ability after ability after him.

The Deadlock Dimension covered a limited area. Although Ethan kept teleporting around inside it, he couldn’t avoid everything.

One attack after another struck him, only to be swallowed by Nullspace Domain without causing any damage.

Ethan didn’t fight back. He just kept dodging, looking increasingly desperate.

The pinnacle-race fighters sneered.

"Let’s see how long you can keep this up!"

After several minutes under their relentless assault, Ethan finally seemed unable to hold on. Nullspace Domain suddenly vanished, and a wave of energy slammed into him, hurling him into the Deadlock Dimension’s spatial barrier.

He coughed up a mouthful of blood, panic appearing on his face.

"Hahaha! Dragging us in here only trapped you with us!"

"Die!"

The fighters showed him no mercy. Another barrage of powerful abilities swept toward him.

Ethan immediately released the Deadlock Dimension and fled into the distance.

"Just you wait! I won’t let any of you off!"

"You think you can escape?"

The pinnacle-race fighters snorted and raced after him.

"He’s badly wounded! Don’t let him get away!"

"Right!"

"My lords..."

The members of the various races waiting outside had been about to tell them that the arcane skyship had been stolen, but in the blink of an eye, every one of the pinnacle-race fighters was gone.

They hadn’t even looked around after emerging. They had immediately chased Ethan.

They had finally managed to wound him. There was no way they could let him escape now. If he got away, who knew where they would have to search for him next?

The sight of his battered figure stumbling ahead, seemingly ready to collapse at any moment, filled them with excitement.

Capturing him and bringing him back would earn them tremendous merit.

As for the remaining humans, dealing with them would be easy.

The chase continued at tremendous speed.

What frustrated them was that despite Ethan’s sorry state, he was surprisingly difficult to catch.

Whenever they were about to overtake him, he would teleport far ahead again, leaving them grinding their teeth in anger.

"Spatial-type abilities are such a fucking nuisance!" one of them complained.

"It doesn’t matter. He’s badly wounded and won’t last much longer. Once he runs out of mental energy, we can do whatever we want with him."

"Right."

Elsewhere, Skinny Pete and the others were piloting the arcane skyship toward the Netherveil Range at incredible speed.

Inside the cabin, everyone touched and examined whatever they could find, fascinated by the flying vessel.

"This thing is incredible!" Big Mike said in amazement. "It doesn’t even have wings, but it can fly this fast!"

"It’s powered by ritual circles, you ignorant hillbilly," Henry said bluntly.

He was studying the densely packed ritual circles covering the ship.

Like Miles, Henry had always been interested in ritual circles.

He had been the one to create the runic disks they now used for daily training, though Miles had later improved them.

Henry’s knowledge of ritual circles wasn’t on Miles’s level, but he was still fairly skilled.

After staring at the maze of lines for a while, however, he gave up on trying to understand them here.

They didn’t have enough time.

Instead, he took out his phone and photographed the ritual circles from every angle. Once they returned, he could give the pictures to Miles to study.

Henry had plenty of confidence in his own abilities, but even he had to admit that Miles had him beat when it came to brains.

"Henry, if we have these ritual circles, does that mean we can build skyships like this when we get back?" the others asked excitedly.

"Please. Have some ambition, will you? This thing isn’t even comfortable. Why would we build a ship like this when we already have airplanes?"

"If we engrave these ritual circles onto an airplane, we could multiply its flight speed several times over."

"That’s true. This thing is only impressive because it’s unusual. It doesn’t even have seats. It’s definitely not comfortable." Everyone nodded.

"When we get back, Miles and I will study it and build a badass fighter jet. It’ll be way faster than this skyship."

"Now that sounds good! Build a few of them. I want one too!" Big Mike said excitedly.

"All right, quiet down. We’re almost there. We’ll send the skyship toward the heart of the mountain range, then jump off."

"Got it!"
