Ethan receives a powerful Tier 35 crystal core, preparing him for a major breakthrough into Stage S. Meanwhile, Miles focuses on reinforcing Fallen Star City's defenses by converting crystal cores into combat power, while Chris and others begin refining Void Realm creatures into soulless thralls. Across the chaotic Earth, other human settlements struggle, with Atlas City finding temporary security through a bluff about the Glacial Bear, while Clearford City suffers under the brutal Flamekin.

Cathay Republic — Dragonspire City Compound...

As the largest compound in the Cathay Republic, Dragonspire City had—unsurprisingly—been occupied by Void Realm creatures.

Worse, the ones squatting here eating human flesh. For the survivors inside Dragonspire City, every day was lived under a hanging blade.

Today, another group of Void Realm creatures discovered the compound and decided they wanted it too.

The two races collided immediately, erupting into a vicious battle.

Their strength wasn’t far apart, so for a while the fight stayed deadlocked—bloody, chaotic, impossible to call.

Then, right as the clash hit its fiercest—

A figure appeared in the distant sky and began walking toward them, step by step.

There was nothing beneath his feet. No platform. No wings.

Yet he moved as steadily as if he were strolling on solid ground, and his speed was terrifying—one blink, and he was already above the battlefield.

"!!!"

The Void Realm creatures shuddered as if an icy hand had grabbed their spines. One after another, they stopped mid-swing and looked up, faces twisting into horror.

"He’s walking on air... a Stage SSS powerhouse!"

It was like they’d seen a ghost.

The figure in the sky spoke casually, his voice quiet—yet carrying an absolute authority that made it impossible to resist.

"Get lost."

"We’ll go! Please spare us!"

Instant relief flooded the Void Realm creatures. They didn’t hesitate. They turned and fled, crawling and scrambling away in panic, no longer caring about the fight or the compound or anything else.

Inside the compound, the humans were stunned into silence.

They stared at what they’d just seen, then stared up at the man in the air—shock and confusion warring in their eyes.

He was a handsome man, almost indistinguishable from a human.

The only difference was his eyes—his irises were brown.

He looked down at the crowd below, a puzzled expression slowly forming.

"Why don’t these humans look like the ones in my memory?"

He shook his head.

"Whatever. People probably look a little different in every world."

Then he stepped forward.

His figure blurred—and he appeared directly inside the compound.

Several high-ranking compound officials hurried forward on trembling legs. The moment they reached him, they dropped flat to the ground, shaking as they spoke.

"Thank you for saving us! From this day on, we are your slaves—your servants!"

They were smart enough to understand what they were seeing.

Someone who could scare off those terrifying Void Realm creatures with a single word... was a thigh worth grabbing onto with both hands.

The man looked at them and sighed, shaking his head again.

"Has the human race really fallen this far?"

Then he spoke, calm and matter-of-fact.

"I’ll stay here from now on. With me here, no other race will dare come close. Arrange a place for me to live."

The officials froze for a beat—

and then their faces lit up like they’d just crawled out of hell.

"Yes—yes, of course! We’ll arrange the best residence immediately! If you have any needs at all, just tell us. We’ll do everything we can to satisfy you!"

Under their frantic arrangements, the man was soon settled into the most luxurious palace in Dragonspire City Compound.

No one knew why he’d helped them.

No one knew why he’d chosen to live here.

But every survivor in Dragonspire City came to the same conclusion:

This had to be an envoy sent by the gods to save them.

With him here, their compound would be safer than it had ever been since the apocalypse began.

And most importantly—

He didn’t eat people.

At the same time, inside a room in Dragonspire City Compound, Cathay Republic’s current Acting President, Orin Vale, and a group of top officials were excitedly discussing what they’d just heard.

"You’re saying after he went in, he just sat there and rested—and didn’t ask for anything excessive?" Orin asked, staring at a middle-aged man below him.

"Yes," the man said quickly. "After he entered, he only said, ’If nothing’s wrong, don’t disturb me,’ and then he sat there without moving."

"Just like that?" Several officials traded looks, completely baffled. "Then what does he want?"

"Why overthink it?" someone said, voice rising with excitement. "He saved us from those Void Realm creatures and didn’t demand anything. That has to mean the gods sent him to save us. I can feel it—Cathay Republic is about to take off."

"If he’s willing to help us, how could we become strong?"

"Exactly! With him here, we don’t need to fear Void Realm creatures at all. We can even use his strength to wipe out Outland Beasts. When that happens, our power will explode—hell, even ruling the entire Earth wouldn’t be impossible!"

The whole room started painting a future so bright it was practically blinding.

Orin’s face hardened. "No matter what, we build a good relationship with him. Any request he makes, we agree unconditionally. Understood?"

"Understood!"

Rus Federation...

The Rus Federation was vast—so vast that Void Realm creatures were practically everywhere you looked.

But it was sparsely populated, and it had already been wrecked by the Void Realm even before all this. There weren’t many compounds left. Instead, many Void Realm creatures simply carved out their own territories across the federation and started building settlements of their own.

They couldn’t go back.

They didn’t have housing.

So they built it.

Of the three surviving compounds in the Rus Federation, the largest—Moskva City—was under the Winged Clan’s control.

The Winged Clan was strong to begin with, and after some of their survivors returned to call for reinforcements, they’d brought in a massive wave of support. This time, they’d come out in the tens of thousands, with dozens of Stage S powerhouses among them.

In the Rus Federation, they were the undisputed top race.

Inside Moskva City Compound, the Winged Clan elder was still fuming over the Glacial Bear incident.

Just then, a Winged Clan scout rushed in.

"Elder, according to our investigation, after the Glacial Bear left that region, it headed southeast across the old borderlands."

"Southeast?" The elder frowned, then turned to one of the Winged Clan survivors. "What’s in that direction?"

The survivor answered at once. "A huge region with many human compounds. Back then, Lord Aeralon nearly captured the roc, but the humans interfered. That’s why we failed."

"Oh?" The elder’s eyes narrowed. "So those humans were able to meddle in your battle. That means their strength isn’t weak."

"In terms of direct strength, they’re definitely stronger than the humans over here," the man said, face twisting. "But their real threat is their soulless thralls. Those thralls are insanely powerful. And... they even created Captain Aerisara into a soulless thrall!"

The moment he said it, pure fury flashed across his face.

"They turned one of my Winged Clan into a soulless thrall?!" The elder’s rage detonated.

"How dare they!"

He snapped his arm out. "Come. Follow me there. I’m going to wipe out every last human in that region!"

"Yes!"

Before long, countless figures launched from Moskva City Compound, streaking through the sky toward the southeast.

Their aura was overwhelming—so much so that any Void Realm creatures who saw them along the way immediately gave them a wide berth.

Not worth provoking.

They crossed mountains, plains, and oceans, eventually entering Atlas Federation territory.

And then—

A massive figure appeared ahead of them, walking toward them through the air.

No wings.

No mount.

Just... strolling across the sky like it was a road.

"!!"

Every Winged Clan powerhouse’s face changed.

The elder’s hair practically stood on end. His body began trembling uncontrollably.

"Stage SSS feral beast!!"

"Run!"

There wasn’t even a moment of hesitation. He turned and fled at full speed, and the rest of the Winged Clan panicked and followed.

"You bastard!" the elder roared at one of the Winged Clan men beside him as they ran. "Didn’t you say this world didn’t have that many terrifying feral beasts?! Now a one shows up?!"

"I—I don’t know!" the man wailed, face crumpling. "I really haven’t seen it before!"

"If we survive this," the elder snarled, eyes bloodshot, "you’ll be the first one I kill!"

In the distance, the figure watched them flee... and didn’t chase.

It only shook its head and continued walking toward some far-off destination, as if everything else in the world was beneath its notice.
