Charles Whitaker reacts with fury upon learning Ethan's group killed dozens and clashed with compound security, rallying family leaders to confront them. Alexander Hale and Dominic plot to cripple the powerful intruders alive using the compound's seven Tier 10 Enhanced, thralls, and laser weapons. At the scene, Ethan executes a security captain, while Big Mike's devastating Rain of Flames incinerates over two hundred security forces despite their attempts to stand down, as a furious shout echoes from afar.

With the shout echoing through the air, a massive crowd rushed forward from afar.

The nearby Security Force members flinched upon recognizing the arrivals, then hastily cleared a path.

Ethan squinted his eyes while observing their approach.

Finally, the true leaders had arrived on the scene.

The assembly featured primarily Tier 9s, blended with multiple Tier 10 Enhanced. Such an impressive formation signaled that the compound's actual rulers were intervening directly.

Ethan also picked out General Maxwell Kane within the group.

…Indeed. Among all the elite figures in Atlas City, Maxwell stood as the only one he knew.

The figure leading them appeared recognizable too—someone Ethan recalled from television before the apocalypse struck.

Upon arriving, the front leaders scowled at the destroyed street and scattered corpses.

"Out of control!" Dominic Hale's features contorted in rage. "You've gone too far. So this is how it is—you really don't give a damn about the compound."

He gestured broadly at the devastation before facing the others. "You all witness it now, don't you? These are outright lawless thugs. In just one day here, they've slaughtered so many—including Compound Security Force members. Allowing them to remain will plunge the compound into total disorder!"

Charles Whitaker's look soured deeply. He fixed his stare on Ethan. "Ethan. Were these acts by your group?"

"Yes," Ethan replied plainly, giving a nod.

Charles's gaze turned steely. "Explain."

"Nothing to explain," Ethan stated. "An idiot harassed my teammate. I dealt with it."

His eyes then drifted beyond them to the uniformed ranks. "Regarding the Security Force—they attacked first. We defended ourselves."

"Incredible." Benjamin Caldwell's face flushed with ire. "Labeling this self-defense? Slaughtering indiscriminately within the compound, flouting compound laws, even taking down Security Force—do you believe yourself beyond all rules?!"

Ethan's face chilled. "Feel free to test me."

Dominic sneered. "No need for delay. Their core is corrupt. With power now in hand, their arrogance and savagery have spiked. Such individuals are toxic. Sparing them invites catastrophe!"

Charles inhaled deeply, jaw clenched. "Then seize them."

"Hold on!" Maxwell advanced at once. "Charles, this might stem from a misunderstanding."

"A misunderstanding?" Dominic barked, jabbing at the corpses. "Maxwell, still shielding them? Corpses soaked in blood lie here, and you claim it's a misunderstanding?!"

Maxwell's mouth parted—then closed. Words failed him this time.

Charles sighed, eyes grave. "General Kane, I understand your concern for the Atlas Federation. You wish to avoid infighting. Yet consider—if order crumbles inside, how can we stand against external threats?"

His tone grew pointed. "Their deeds have gravely disrupted internal harmony. Without addressing them, how will we reassure the populace?"

"Charles!" Maxwell's voice sharpened urgently. "Do you grasp the consequences of clashing with them?"

"I do," Charles affirmed steadily. "They're formidable. Action may bring heavy casualties. But which battle comes free? If the cost secures stability for the Atlas Federation, it's justified."

Maxwell gave a wry chuckle. "I'm worried we'll pay dearly… yet still fall short against them."

Dominic spun toward him, glare fierce. "What nonsense is that, Maxwell? You're overrating them wildly. Even if they're all Tier 10, then what? Our might surpasses any fear of them."

Maxwell eyed him steadily. "What if they're beyond Tier 10?"

"…!"

Dominic's lips twisted mockingly. "Beyond Tier 10? Tier 11 perhaps?" He scoffed icily. "Maxwell, even to defend them, spare us such absurdity. Tier 11? Be honest—do you truly believe that's feasible?"

Charles furrowed his brow. "General Kane, you're claiming they're past Tier 10. Got proof?"

"No," Maxwell conceded. "But I sense it. They're far more than mere Tier 10."

"….."

Charles breathed out wearily. "General Kane, your ties to them are clear. If you won't join, the Kane Family steps aside."

Dominic interjected sharply. "No. The Kane Family boasts the strongest elites. General Kane may withdraw, but Kane forces must engage."

Benjamin nodded, pushing further. "Correct. Three families endorse this—it's finalized. General Kane, will you defy the Five Families' alliance?"

Maxwell's brows locked in tension, trapped.

At that moment, Ethan's voice sliced through once more.

"General Kane, stop agonizing. If they crave battle, let them charge." His gaze iced over, tone nonchalant. "Today, I'll reshape Atlas City's compound power entirely."

"Such a cocky brat," Dominic spat, almost gleeful. "Attack—now!"

As his words fell, Hale Family Enhanced burst from his rear, lunging directly at Ethan's crew.

"Advance!" Charles and Benjamin signaled simultaneously.

Whitaker and Caldwell troops joined the assault.

"…" Gabriel sighed deeply. With no choice, he raised his hand resignedly. Mercer Family Enhanced moved in.

Nearly together, the leaders pivoted to eye Maxwell.

"General Kane," Dominic said cuttingly, "I trust you know your position."

Maxwell's expression spasmed. Inner conflict raged visibly. Ultimately, he gritted his teeth.

"The Kane Family sits this out."

"!!"

Dominic's eyes widened in fury. "Maxwell! That's blatant breach of the Five Families' agreement! We can strip your command immediately!"

"Strip it then." Maxwell's tone hardened. "It's the end times—a rank means nothing now. Throw away your lives if you must. But leave the Kane Family out of it."

With that, Maxwell retreated several steps.

"You—!"

Dominic ground his teeth. "Very well. Kane Family or not, we crush them. Mark my words—post-battle, the remaining four families will punish you!"

He huffed disdainfully, retreat impossible now.

Swiftly, Tier 9 Enhanced encircled Ethan's team, joined by five Tier 10 Enhanced.

The compound held seven Tier 10s total—Kane Family owned two. Maxwell's pullback kept them idle, leaving five.

Next, after Tier 9s and Tier 10s formed up, a horde of Tier 8 Enhanced poured in from the rear.

Each wielded Tier 9 laser weapons, barrels aimed squarely at Ethan and his allies.

Ethan's team remained motionless throughout, viewing the deployment like a mere show.

In truth, Ethan yearned to gauge Atlas City's compound true capabilities.

If limited to Tier 10, tension might grip him. But at Tier 11 now, fear held no place.

One could only remark—the perils of that Void Realm by Clearford City proved harrowing, yet it forged an unbridgeable Tier divide over all others.

True fortune springs from peril.

Noting no further advances, Ethan offered a faint smile.

"Is that the full force?"

"Hmph. Stop posturing." A frontline Tier 10 Enhanced snorted coldly. "Eliminate them!"

Orders given, all unleashed in unison.

Tier 9 and Tier 10 differed vastly from Tier 6 or 7. Potent skills erupted in thick barrages—fierce, crushing, swift—barreling at Ethan's group from all sides.

Ethan's lips curved upward.

"Fine then," he uttered icily. "No holding back now."

He raised his hand.

"Go."

"Understood!" Chris responded breezily.
