Chu Yan confronted a hidden creature emerging from a crimson void, deploying a gravitational lens tether to engage it. Meanwhile, Lin Xian reviewed the ominous situation, considering the frequent movements of the Descent Faction and the nature of the crimson threat. He prepared to run a civilization simulation but was interrupted by a familiar throbbing sensation. Turning his attention to Monica, Lin Xian was shocked to find her hibernation suit dissolving and her body rapidly transforming, healing an old scar and becoming seemingly perfect.

What was the reason for this heavy feeling?

It stemmed from the apprehension that those so-called 'defectors' might not be traitors at all, but rather humans drawn to a perfect evolutionary state. As both Julius and Chen Yanshu had suggested, they could be embracing a superior mode of civilization that would inevitably shatter humanity's existing worldview and values.

This possibility was truly the most terrifying aspect.

Contemplating this, Lin Xian felt a profound weight in his heart. He glanced at Monica's peaceful, sleeping face and let out a soft sigh, remarking,

"The anticipated side effects have yet to manifest. Instead, individuals have grown more beautiful; I suspect you would appreciate this transformation, Queen Mo."

Lin Xian checked the time and, verifying Monica's vital signs were stable, decided against any intervention or disturbance. His plan was to return and catch some rest, as his mind had been occupied with numerous thoughts since his return, precluding him from visiting his quarters. Following Hua Xiaoling's departure, the world had once again been plunged into a scarlet crisis, signaling that Infinity's brief respite was likely over. Lin Xian resolved to commence his journey to the South American Continent the following morning.

Today, however, he needed to allocate time to affix the military train to the rear of the Sky Dome Train and to refine several heavy weapon systems. This also included addressing the repair and enhancement of the static electric field, among other necessary preparations...

Following that, he had to oversee developments at his Mechanical Heart Research and Development Center and thoroughly investigate the enigmatic Black Gear.

With such a multitude of taxing responsibilities, clear thinking would be impossible without adequate rest.

Just as Lin Xian was about to depart the hibernation hall, the distinct sound of a hibernation pod cover retracting echoed from behind him.

Hiss!

Lin Xian halted, turned, and observed Monica's hibernation pod lid slowly ascending, releasing a plume of white, frigid air. An immediate sense of unease washed over him, prompting him to turn and investigate.

However, at that precise moment, an elegant form gradually emerged from the hibernation pod. Slender, fair legs touched the ground, and with graceful poise, she stood upright.

"Monica?"

Lin Xian's brow furrowed as he regarded the figure silhouetted against the cold mist.

"You appear to be burdened by many concerns?"

Monica's alluring voice resonated as the chilling vapor dissipated. She stood with her arms crossed, her luminous eyes fixed on Lin Xian, eyes that seemed capable of piercing the very fabric of existence. The remnants of her inner liner suit silently descended from her straight back and curvaceous posterior to the floor. Yet, she displayed no hint of concealment or bashfulness, meeting Lin Xian's gaze with an air of composed serenity.

"Apologies, your self-directed monologue reached me with startling clarity."

Lin Xian observed Monica with keen interest. Her physique was undeniably exquisite; a tall, shapely, and harmoniously proportioned figure, accentuated by a magnificent bust that commanded immediate visual attention, leaving Lin Xian momentarily captivated.

After a brief two-second trance, he cleared his throat, breaking the palpable silence. Checking the time, he inquired with a serious tone,

"Less than ten hours have passed. How is it that you are already awake?"

Hearing Lin Xian's question, Monica's brow furrowed slightly. "Is that so? However, I... feel absolutely phenomenal right now."

"Can you perceive the presence of the Crystal Grid?" Lin Xian inquired.

Monica lowered her head, and instantly, a faint purple luminescence emanated from her chest. As the light intensified, Lin Xian detected a rapidly escalating fluctuation in Spirit Vibration Value surging from Monica's body. Simultaneously, her chest skin and even the underlying bone structure cast a shadow, as if an intensely powerful entity were burning within her.

Lin Xian raised his hand, turned, and activated his devices. His gaze was fixed on the Soul Swinging Value Detector, its numerical display climbing at an astonishing rate.

9,000, 10,000, 12,000, 15,000,

17,000!!!

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

At this juncture, Monica unfurled her arms, her hair swirling as if caught in a gentle breeze, while energy radiated from her entire being. Tangible sound waves flowed around her like iridescent conduits.

Witnessing this remarkable display, Lin Xian could not suppress a gasp of astonishment. "It has truly succeeded, and in merely ten hours."

Monica's gaze swept over Lin Xian before she reined in her energy release. Once the Spirit Vibration Value fluctuations subsided, she turned and approached the vanity mirror situated near the hibernation pod. Gazing at her flawless reflection, a subtle curve graced her lips as she remarked,

"The process was far from pleasant, but I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome."

With that statement, she turned her attention back to Lin Xian. "Director Ding's hypothesis was likely accurate. I experienced the perspective of an Abnormal Body, something indescribably vast. I perceived it floating amidst clouds at an altitude exceeding ten thousand meters, actively capturing sound waves from two distinct dimensions."

"You could also hear it?"

"Surprised?"

Lin Xian fell silent, a somber expression crossing his face. "Frankly, this development is not precisely what one would term good news."

Should it be verified that individuals with superpowers and those with abnormal bodies originate from the same source, Lin Xian could only speculate on the immense pressure human superpower users would endure upon discovering this truth, nor could he predict the ultimate outcome for them.

Monica appeared to discern Lin Xian's underlying unease and approached him with elegant strides. It was only when she was quite near that Lin Xian became aware of her presence, turning to regard her and posing a question:

"Are you not concerned that your superpower, or perhaps your very existence, might share a link with these Abnormal Bodies?"

Monica emitted a soft, amused chuckle, seemingly unperturbed. Crossing her arms, she gazed at Lin Xian and casually remarked,

"Actually, focusing on the positive, there is some good news."

Lin Xian, his brow furrowed in curiosity, inquired, "Such as?"

Monica advanced another step, her statuesque form drawing incredibly close to Lin Xian. With a distinctive charm, she continued,

"If, in theory, I have advanced my Crystal Grid to become a form of Abnormal Body, then... have you ever experienced intimacy with an Abnormal Body?"

Lin Xian tilted his head back, his gaze narrowing as he looked at Monica with a multifaceted smile. Without hesitation, he retorted,

"You must be jesting, sister! This is the apocalypse!"
