Apocalypse: I Build A Doomsday Train Chapter 1171 - 451: The Precipice, Nuclear Blast! (Part 3)
Previously on Apocalypse: I Build A Doomsday Train...
A brilliant golden-white constant star suddenly ignited in the dark sky and sea above the island!
No sound accompanied it, only a blinding radiance that nearly illuminated the heavens and the earth.
Concentric with the geothermal well, the seawater within a 1.2-kilometer radius was forcefully ejected, creating a vacuum bubble spanning a full kilometer in diameter.
Countless worm-like and serpent-like creatures that had been drilling into the water, along with numerous Abnormal Bodies from Sea Rock Prison burrowing underground, were instantly vaporized by temperatures reaching 1.7 billion degrees Celsius. The fusion shockwave even repelled the lava flow from the geothermal well back into the mantle.
The entire island began to crumble from its center, akin to a sandcastle. Stones dislodged from the collapsing high walls of the prison were flash vaporized into sulfurous smoke in the air. The evaporated seawater, carrying intense thermal radiation, then slammed back into the vacuum zone, creating a kilometer-high, ring-shaped tsunami wall.
This colossal sea star tore a massive opening through the stormy clouds above. From a high vantage point, a multitude of sea monsters and Abnormal Bodies approaching the island were observed vanishing instantaneously, spewing forth concentric waves of black mist gas that dissipated across the sea's surface.
Rumble!
The moment the fusion fireball contracted, it initiated a secondary deuterium-tritium fusion. A streak-like shock wave rapidly propagated along the Pacific Ocean ridge, fracturing and uplifting the seabed's rock layers as if they were an eggshell. This immense shock wave, transmitted through both the seawater and the seabed, struck the undersea cliff face ahead within mere seconds.
At this critical juncture, both the Infinity and the nuclear submarine, adrift in the deep sea, were tossed about like capsules in a shaken bottle, driven forcefully towards the cliff. Simultaneously, the dense congregation of sea monsters dwelling on the cliff face was swept away.
"Ah!!!"
Inside the violently upheaved Infinity, screams echoed throughout the vessel. Distinguishing directions became impossible amidst the terrifying currents, with only fleeting glimpses through the portholes of the Infinity hurtling past various nightmarish abyssal creatures.
A vortex-like abyssal maw, serrated ridge-like fins, and the compound eyes of some multi-segmented giant annelids were seen.
Lin Xian held Chen Sixuan tightly. At this moment, Kiki was employing telekinesis to stabilize the entire cockpit, while Ryuji utilized his superpower to shield the crew within the cabin from being torn apart by the immense churning forces.
In that instant, Lin Xian seemed to perceive a cacophony of peculiar cries – some like abyssal wails, others like the groaning protest of the Earth's crust. He raised a finger, pointing towards the scene outside the porthole, prepared to deploy the gravitational lens at any second.
Illuminated by the spinning headlights, a colossal abyssal mouth, adorned with spiral, razor-sharp teeth and resembling a volcanic crater, surged forward with overwhelming water pressure, intent on engulfing the Infinity whole.
Lin Xian's expression hardened with fierce determination, ready to act in concert with Kiki.
Unexpectedly, in the subsequent moment, several gargantuan vines, entwined with deep crimson hues and crackling with thunder, visibly extended forward with astonishing speed. They rapidly grew from a mere half-meter to several meters in diameter, each vine dwarfing the Infinity in girth. These colossal vines spiraled through the water, directly engaging the abyssal maw, and using the resulting momentum to propel the Infinity downwards towards the cliff below.
Lin Xian abruptly turned his head, observing Ding Junyi's eyes glowing with a faint green luminescence. Somehow, the Blood Vine had manifested and grown outside the Infinity's cabin.
With no time to dwell on the inexplicable, Lin Xian issued a decisive command.
"Director Ding, now!!"
Ding Junyi manipulated the Blood Vine with her left hand, while her right hand guided a small Green Vine into the Silver Dragon Ten Thousand Mistakes cultivation chamber, delicately plucking the blooming flower.
Puff!
In an instant, the roaring sound of boiling seawater seemed to vanish from the Infinity, including the nuclear submarine. Everyone's ears were instead filled with the subtle, almost imperceptible popping sound of a gas bubble bursting.
