That single second nearly exhausted him completely, even with his superstring reactor hitting a Spirit Vibration Value of 30,000—the cost was utterly staggering!

Lin Xian's goal of wiping out the foes in the sea vortex had been thoroughly accomplished, at minimum.

After Lin Xian unleashed the Supercritical Diffraction Sword with a single stroke, nearly all the massive Abnormal Bodies across the sea area were eradicated. Black smoke kept pouring from the surviving Abnormal Bodies, while the churning, boiling ocean surface slowly settled, and the marks on everyone faded away.

As the Abnormal Bodies withdrew bit by bit, innumerable eyes turned toward Lin Xian.

"Phew..." Lin Xian exhaled deeply. Releasing two ultimate techniques at once was a first for him, leaving his spiritual power utterly depleted in that moment.

Erica gazed at Lin Xian with a mix of emotions. Her earlier arrogance had vanished entirely as she bowed her head and directed her two subordinates forward, pulling out that strange Taboo Item to activate it.

She unlocked the lead box, and with her teammates' help, mounted the copper ball onto a custom drone that zipped into the air, hovering above the huge Abnormal Bodies' corpses and the drifting black gas over the waves.

Lin Xian watched with narrowed eyes. The drone exhibited a suction akin to the Gravitational Lens, pulling in the black gas relentlessly. At the same time, Blood Crystals of all sizes shot up from the sea, drawn straight to the drone.

What an incredible tool for battlefield cleanup!

Amazement filled Lin Xian's mind as he observed. This gadget mirrored the Hell Black Chrysanthemum's black gas absorption and could pluck Blood Crystals right from the water. It hit him—if they'd possessed this during the Dawn City clash, the Human Camp would've reaped huge rewards, and it might've even disrupted the S-Class and corpse chasers' dark energy intake for healing...

Ryan spoke up first to Lin Xian.

The Hawk Sea Group members trailing him showed faces of pure relief, like catastrophe averted. Vanessa and the rest fixed their eyes on Lin Xian.

Lin Xian shook his head steadily, "No matter their rank, these Abnormal Bodies in a compressed zone always feature a territorial boss exerting influence. That influence centers on devouring dark energy. Moments ago, during our defense, every bit of dark energy rushed into the vortex. That's why we targeted it alongside the other beasts."

This insight stemmed from the Dawn City fight. The outcome proved his choice spot-on. Most vital, though, was his Divine Sword's overwhelming force—without it, such swift success would've eluded them.

"With combat prowess this fearsome, he could even challenge an S-Class eerie, right?"

"Now I truly believe Captain Lin felled a corpse chaser—impressively done!"

Hawk Sea Group members burst into awed praises.

Ryan heaved a deep sigh of relief and told Lin Xian, "Captain Lin, thank you."

Gratitude overflowed on the faces of even Azir and Gedi.

Lin Xian simply shook his head, "Don’t be happy too early." He checked the time and continued,

"Noon has arrived already. Dawn has just broken, yet these high-level eerie bodies are rampaging wildly from the marks' emergence. This spells trouble. With these monsters already surging out of the darkness in massive waves, it proves they're adapting to Blue Star far quicker than humans can evolve."

Ryan fell silent briefly before drawing a deep breath, "It is indeed too strange. This scale of attack in broad daylight is something I have never seen before."

"Also," KIKI chimed in right then, "Chasan Island lies at the fringe of Sea Rock Island. Even this single sea zone holds such vast numbers, so picture the horrors skulking beneath the ocean surrounding Sea Rock Island. It's a outright monster haven. Facing this, escaping or enduring the night is the genuine crisis. Galan Volcano hardly ranks as our main worry anymore."
