Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 2038: God smith appearing
Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Ye Zhongming and the others were led by the person in charge to a distinctively constructed building situated behind the exhibition hall. Ascending to the second floor, they discovered four or five individuals already present, attended by beautiful female hostesses who offered tea and wine with gentle, pleasant smiles.
It seems that certain social customs remain consistent across all locations. The distinct bearing and powerful auras of these assembled individuals clearly marked them as prominent figures, with at least two not belonging to the Su Race. Upon Ye Zhongming’s arrival, all eyes turned towards him.
"Everyone, apologies for the delay," the person in charge announced with a smile, though his tone lacked genuine remorse, which Ye Zhongming found peculiar given the individual's previous deference.
The other attendees, however, seemed unbothered. After assessing Ye Zhongming with observable interest, one individual urged, "Then let's commence without further ado. I am quite eager to witness the remarkable items you have prepared."
The person in charge chuckled once more. "This establishment exclusively deals in equipment from the Taros Red Dwarves; what else could I possibly offer?"
"We hold out hope for the day you procure a Lie God-grade artifact!"
A voice declared this sentiment. "If I possessed equipment of Lie God grade, would I still be managing this humble establishment?" the person in charge replied, shaking his head. His expression then grew solemn. "Speaking of Lie God-grade equipment, I have recently acquired some rather significant news."
Gesturing for Ye Zhongming to sit, the person in charge indicated a chair. He, Qizhen, and the Golden Mask Warriors retired to an adjoining chamber, leaving only Jie Su's assistant to stand behind Ye Zhongming.
"Pray, enlighten us," a dignitary from the Su Race commanded coolly.
"As you are aware, beyond managing this shop, I am also tasked with receiving equipment dispatched from the Taros Red Dwarves. Consequently, I maintain considerable contact with those artisans. Upon my recent return, I intercepted intelligence that has not yet even been officially confirmed among the Taros Red Dwarves themselves."
"It is rumored that one among them has successfully forged a piece of equipment of Lie God grade!"
At this revelation, every person in the room instinctively straightened their posture.
Currently, within the vast expanse of the cosmos, Lie God-grade equipment represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship, the absolute zenith of existence. In Ye Zhongming’s personal assessment, it bore a strong equivalence to the seven-colored artifacts associated with the Wheel.
However, relics of such caliber are not conjured at will; not even the Taros Red Dwarves possess the ability to produce them casually. The most exceptionally gifted artisans within their race, those capable of crafting Lie God-grade items, are designated as Godsmiths. Even the most prolific among them managed to create merely two or three such pieces in their entire lifetime.
Naturally, this remains largely the stuff of legend. Even during the era when Godsmiths were active, the Taros Red Dwarves maintained a stringent policy of secrecy, disclosing minimal information. At best, external observers merely acknowledged the existence of such masterful creators.
Consequently, even to this day, the precise number of Lie God-grade artifacts possessed by the Taros Red Dwarves remains unknown. What all parties can ascertain is that, presently, ten such artifacts are known to exist throughout the cosmos, distributed among the various major races. However, the possibility that the Taros Red Dwarves possess additional pieces fuels speculation, though their quantity remains a mystery.
Should this recently surfaced news prove accurate, it would signify a direct augmentation of the Taros Red Dwarves' Lie God-grade artifact holdings by one! Such an event would inevitably bolster the influence of the Taros Red Dwarves, given the inherent strategic importance of these supreme-grade items.
Furthermore, it would herald the dawn of a new era for the cosmic races—an era marked by the resurgence of Godsmiths!
An era… where artisans capable of forging Lie God-grade equipment once again ply their trade!
Following their initial astonishment, the individuals present engaged in a lively discussion, postulating the potential attributes and functions of this newly forged divine artifact. Would it be conventional defensive gear or a weapon? Or perhaps a rarer accessory or support item? Or could it be a piece of technology imbued with the distinctive style of the Taros Red Dwarves?
"Given that rumors are circulating within the Taros Red Dwarves' community, this development likely holds eighty to ninety percent veracity. By established convention, a Godsmith's inaugural creation is typically unveiled to the wider universe. Therefore, verifiable confirmation should follow in due course."
Ye Zhongming absorbed the information, yet his inner world churned with complex emotions.
While he was still dedicating himself to the pursuit of advanced techniques, an individual had already achieved the creation of an item bordering on Lie God-grade potency.
However, this fleeting sense of inadequacy rapidly dissipated, supplanted by a surge of renewed determination.
This newly emerged Godsmith of the Taros Red Dwarves achieved their success by building upon the legacy of predecessors, standing on the shoulders of giants. Moreover, these dwarves benefited from the accumulated knowledge and experiences passed down by past Godsmiths within their own lineage. In stark contrast, Ye Zhongming had reached his current standing entirely through his own unaided efforts. He harbored an unshakeable conviction that, one day, he too would ascend to the highest echelons of power.
"Today, I have three items here, all at the Raini grade."
Upon hearing this, Ye Zhongming's eyes lit up.
Previously, he could only craft Red Condensation-grade equipment. This wasn't due to his abilities capping, but rather a lack of understanding regarding Raini-level equipment. He was unsure about the differences in techniques and materials that separated this tier from Red Condensation-grade, and whether the manufacturing direction and philosophy remained the same or diverged significantly.
Therefore, Ye Zhongming had recently been dedicated to refining his skills, aiming to advance further from the Red Condensation-grade. It would be even more remarkable if he could achieve a breakthrough and independently research and develop Raini-level equipment.
Naturally, Ye Zhongming understood this would be an immensely lengthy endeavor and was prepared for it.
He hadn't expected to stumble upon such an opportunity here. Immediately, his spirits lifted, and his gaze conveyed an unyielding determination to possess it.
The person in charge of the auction keenly observed Ye Zhongming's shift in demeanor. A shrewd smile played on his lips, knowing that the risk of offending several major clients today might yield substantial rewards, potentially netting him an extra few hundred thousand Moonspan Gold.
After making his announcement, the person in charge briefly departed, only to return shortly with several attendants. The first two stepped forward and placed a substantial box upon the table before the assembled crowd. The person in charge then opened it, revealing a piece of protective equipment within.
It was an equipment piece of a very unusual cloak design. Had the person in charge not showcased it, the others might have taken a moment to identify its nature.
"Star Dou Cloak," the person in charge stated softly, then paused.
The others eagerly awaited further details, but no more words were forthcoming.
A Su Race individual, possessing a considerable aura, frowned and inquired, "Kanagu, what is the meaning of this?"
Kanagu, the person in charge, showed no annoyance. Holding the Star Dou Cloak, he explained, "As I mentioned earlier, among the Taros Red Dwarves, there should exist a God Smith who created a Lie God grade piece of equipment."
"Hmm, so? What does that have to do with our current proceedings?" someone interjected impatiently.
Kanagu replied, "It is directly related, profoundly so, because this Divine Smith is the creator of this cloak." Ye Zhongming suddenly grasped the situation. So this was the news he was meant to reveal, setting the stage for everything!
