The festivities that had spanned several months finally reached their conclusion. Throughout the thirty-three immortal realms, a sense of lingering melancholy washed over the countless observers as the projections of the Godking Palace faded from view. It was widely understood that catching another glimpse of the Ancient Godly Monarch would not be a simple matter in the years to come.
As the grand banquet finished, the inhabitants of the world sensed the dawn of a magnificent new era. A fresh epoch had commenced, offering a blank slate for the people of the world to carve out their own legacies.
One morning, Qin Wentian emerged from his private quarters alongside Mo Qingcheng, Qing`er, Beiming Youhuang, and Ye Qianyu. Together, the group began to walk out of the residential palace.
The moment they crossed the threshold, a snowy-white blur streaked through the air and tumbled into Qingcheng’s arms. Little Rascal fixed his gaze on Qin Wentian and grumbled, “You were planning to leave me behind? Not a chance.”
“Hush now,” Qin Wentian replied with a light chuckle. However, another graceful figure manifested behind him at that moment. It was Purgatory, who followed in silence without uttering a word.
“Wentian gege, your efforts are in vain. We have woven heavenly nets throughout the entire Godking Palace. You could tear through them easily, of course, but we would be alerted instantly. Hehe.” A playful voice drifted toward them. Bai Qing had appeared at Qin Wentian's side unnoticed. Dressed in vibrant fiery-red robes that highlighted her curves, she possessed an air of elegance that made it hard to believe she was the sovereign of the Myriad Devil Islands.
“Little lass Qing, are even you plotting against me?” Qin Wentian sighed, feigning a look of deep dejection.
“It is your own fault for being so secretive. This plan was actually my idea. Why? Do you think being the Ancient Godly Monarch allows you to ignore your senior apprentice sister?” Luo Huan’s curvaceous figure came into view. She crossed her arms, looking exceptionally provocative as her beautiful eyes locked onto Qin Wentian. Beside her, Qin Yao was also giggling. This younger brother of hers was truly too mischievous, trying to slip away unnoticed.
“Senior sister, please have mercy,” Qin Wentian pleaded, feeling utterly defeated.
“Begging won't help you,” Luo Huan laughed. Many others began to approach from the vicinity, including Nanfeng Yunxi, Nanfeng Shengge, and Jialan Qiuyue. For a moment, the area looked like a garden where a hundred flowers had simultaneously bloomed. The scenery was breathtaking, filled mostly with goddesses. In all the world, perhaps only Qin Wentian could enjoy such a magnificent sight.
“Elder brother, it seems your escape attempt has failed yet again,” Luoshen Lei remarked with a smile as she joined them.
“Senior brother, you should just give up and surrender to them,” Jun Mengchen said as he walked over, clearly enjoying the chaos.
“Mengchen, I am leaving the affairs of the Godking Palace in your hands. You had better manage everything perfectly,” Qin Wentian said, his expression turning stern as he looked at Jun Mengchen.
Jun Mengchen’s face immediately fell. “Senior brother, I was wrong. Please forgive me!”
“You are the World Godking and the sovereign of this world system. Naturally, these duties fall to you. Such a heavy burden can only be carried by someone of your capability. Furthermore, my fathers-in-law, the Emperor Lord, and Senior Bai Wuya will provide their assistance. My maternal grandfather and uncle are here as well, but since your Cultivation base is the highest, I must entrust the seat of command to you,” Qin Wentian explained solemnly, clearly using his authority to settle a personal score.
“But aren't Uncle and Aunty staying?” Jun Mengchen asked. “Kexin is capable as well.”
“Oh, we are getting ready to travel across the universe,” Qin Yuanfeng and Luoshen Qianxue said as they appeared, laughing and shattering Jun Mengchen’s last hope.
“Father, Mother. Are you certain you don't want to come with us?” Qin Wentian inquired.
“Don't we know how to travel on our own?” Luoshen Qianxue smiled, sharing a meaningful look with Qin Yuanfeng. No words were needed between them. A wave of warmth filled Qin Wentian’s heart; he was genuinely happy to see his parents so devoted to one another.
“Kexin, who do you plan to follow?” Luoshen Qianxue asked with a smile.
“I’ll go with elder brother. I don't want to be a bother to you two,” Qin Kexin replied softly, hoping to give her parents their space. Qin Wentian’s face darkened with frustration. You don't want to bother them, so you come to bother me? He felt that his life as an older brother was truly a difficult one.
“Hehe, I’ll be sticking with elder brother too,” Luoshen Lei added, twisting the knife further.
“Spare me, please,” Qin Wentian groaned, covering his face with his hands.
“Don't worry. My family will travel alone and won't be a nuisance. See? Only a brother like me is truly considerate of you.” Fatty Fan Le walked over at some point, speaking to Qin Wentian while Ouyang Kuangsheng and Jiang Ting smiled beside him.
“Family?” Fan Ye questioned.
“That's right—us two and you, Little Ye. We are going to have some private family time,” Fan Le said, looking quite pleased with Qin Wentian’s predicament.
“Who said I was going with you? I’d much rather follow my godfather.” Fan Ye darted over to Qin Wentian’s side and grabbed his arm. Fan Le stood there stunned. When he finally found his voice, he roared, “Is this really my own daughter?”
“Don't be upset. I'll come back to visit you every hundred years or so, whenever I’m in the mood,” Fan Ye giggled, her words leaving Fan Le in mock tears.
“Wentian,” Ye Qingyun called out as he approached.
“Foster-father,” Qin Wentian acknowledged with a nod.
“Take your sister Lingshuang with you. The poor girl is bored to death in the Godking Palace,” Ye Qingyun smiled. Qin Wentian found himself unable to refuse.
“Qingyun, let us two old fellows get back to our chess game,” Qin Chuan said to Ye Qingyun.
“Ah, Senior Brother! I will definitely have my revenge for this!” Jun Mengchen shouted, his heart full of reluctance.
“That’s fine,” Qin Wentian smiled at him, causing Jun Mengchen’s spirit to sink again. He knew he couldn't beat his senior brother in a real fight.
Qin Wentian sent an apologetic look toward Qingcheng and Qing`er. He used a Qi transmission to whisper, “We will slip away from the group once we are on the road.”
Qingcheng and the others smiled, their hearts filled with affection. At long last, they were free of their burdens. It was a truly beautiful moment.
“Let’s depart,” Qin Wentian said, looking toward the horizon.
“Let's go!” Little Rascal tilted his head back and let out a roar.
With smiles on their faces, the entire group set out.
Shortly after their departure, startling news spread from the Godking Palace. The Ancient Godly Monarch Qin Wentian was traveling through the thirty-three immortal realms and various particle worlds with his wives and family. Rumors suggested he might revisit the path that led him to the summit of Cultivation, including places he had never explored before.
Consequently, the inhabitants of the thirty-three immortal realms were thrown into a frenzy, everyone hoping for a chance encounter. Perhaps, with just a bit of his guidance, they might be able to reach the heavens in a single bound.
When Qin Wentian heard this news later, he nearly flew back to the Godking Palace to give Jun Mengchen a sound thrashing. His junior brother had certainly learned some devious tricks. Even so, Qin Wentian was happy. He didn't intend to change his travel plans. Jun Mengchen would oversee the Godking Palace and manage the universe's affairs. Eventually, this entire world system would belong to him.
...
In a certain particle world, within the territory where the Chu Country once stood, a heavy snowfall began to descend.
The white flakes carpeted the earth, dressing the landscape in a layer of silver.
Where Sky Harmony City had once been, a massive statue now stood. Snowflakes drifted down to rest upon it, slowly covering the figure. Occasionally, passersby would stop and bow respectfully toward the monument.
Nearby, several figures materialized. One of them bore a striking resemblance to the statue itself. This was, of course, Qin Wentian.
“Even the old Qin Manor has disappeared,” Qin Wentian remarked with a smile.
“Mhm,” Qin Yao agreed with a nod. “Wentian gege, would you carry me on your back? Just like you did when we were kids?”
Qin Wentian crouched down and laughed, “Get on.”
With a smile, Qin Yao climbed up. As they trekked through the snow, Bai Qing followed behind them with a grin. Their path was marked by footprints in the deep powder. From Qin Wentian’s back, a lone tear fell, melting a small patch of snow upon the ground.
...
In another location that was once part of the Chu Country, a massive tree stood tall. The ancient tree braved the wind and cold, its many branches draped in white.
Beneath this tree, a handsome young man in white robes sat with his legs out. He leaned lazily against the wide trunk, a smile in his bright eyes as he took in the scenery. A breathtakingly beautiful fairy reached out to catch snowflakes in her hand. She twirled effortlessly; though she wasn't performing a formal dance, her grace was more captivating than any choreographed routine.
Next to the young man, another stunning beauty with white hair stood in silence, appearing to blend perfectly with the wintry surroundings.
After a while, the first fairy seemed to grow tired. She returned to the tree and leaned against the young man, closing her eyes in peaceful contentment.
The white-haired fairy sat down as well, leaning against his other side. Time appeared to stand still as the snowflakes continued to drift down from the heavens.
Slowly, the three figures beneath the tree were blanketed by the falling snow. They looked like snowmen resting in the quiet. It was a scene of incredible, profound beauty.
