Leon tested the Hellfire Imp's three spells: short-range teleportation, fragile clones, and material assimilation by turning to stone. He mimicked the imp's Material Assimilation skill, transforming his body into Nyxter's material to shatter a dungeon wall with a powerful punch. After replenishing Elis's mana and storing the imp in his Summoner's Pocket, an S-rank system quest activated to find and secretly claim the broken Realm Traveller for personal use.

Church of the Human Kingdom...

In the prayer hall, hundreds of families occupied the spacious wooden benches, eyes shut and hands clasped in devotion, while an elder nun atop the front pedestal recited from an ancient tome.

The atmosphere remained serene and hushed, a floral fragrance permeating the air as sunlight filtered through the church's stained-glass windows.

"... May this pure mana lead you across the world and grant you strength against the darkness. Vernen." The elder nun declared, closing her eyes and clasping her hands too.

"Vernen." The entire assembly in the vast hall echoed softly in perfect harmony.

"That concludes today's service... May the lord shower you all with joy and abundance. Beloved followers... Tomorrow marks our sacred 'Hulonion Festival', so please join us for the morning prayers. Bring your children if you can.

Those bringing their little ones tomorrow will enjoy our exclusive feast. Thank you." With that, the elder nun promptly descended from the pedestal.

Once the prayers wrapped up, the congregation rose quietly and headed out from the prayer hall toward the church entrance.

....

Dining Hall,

The nuns sat eagerly at their seats, awaiting someone's arrival.

"Are the prayers still ongoing?" The blonde nun on the far left whispered, her gaze locked on the meal as saliva gathered in her mouth.

"Quiet... You're a nun now, Sister Terisa. Stop behaving like a child and quit drooling over the food." The nun beside her scolded sternly.

"But-" Terisa's words got cut off as the hall doors swung open, revealing the elder nun entering, supported by a youthful, voluptuous nun.

*Thud*

Every nun sprang to her feet at once and bowed deeply before the elder nun.

"Mother Carrie." They chorused together.

"You should have begun without me. Duties await you all, while I'll just lounge uselessly in bed the whole day." Mother Carrie responded with a crestfallen look, making her way to the largest chair at the table's far end and settling into it with the curvy nun's aid.

"Take your seats, everyone." Mother Carrie instructed calmly.

"Yes, Mother." The nuns promptly sat and clasped each other's hands firmly.

"Whose turn is it today?" Carrie inquired, smiling warmly.

"Mother... It's mine... It's my turn!" Terisa exclaimed, her face beaming with thrill, nearly leaping from her chair.

"Oh... Terisa," Mother Carrie said, her smile vanishing instantly into annoyance, though she quickly masked it with a forced grin, "...alright then. Proceed with the prayer."

"Yes... May God bless us and thanks for this food. Vernen." Terisa recited hastily before grabbing her fork and digging in.

"What? That's all?"

"Oh my god..."

"Of course it's Terisa."

"Alright, alright, settle down and eat your meals." Mother Carrie said as she began sipping her soup.

"Mother... Attendance dropped today." The curvy nun noted evenly.

"By how much?" Carrie questioned gravely.

"About ten fewer than last time. Three couples and four adventurers."

"Hmm... This grows concerning. Did any explain their absence, Sister Miola?"

"I reached out to some, but the three couples had already departed the kingdom, and the three adventurers brushed me off entirely."

"And the last one?" Mother Carrie pressed seriously.

"The remaining adventurer spoke to me, trembling in fear. He muttered about the god being dead and demons taking over.

Then he bolted. I pursued briefly, but he fled too swiftly." Miola answered flatly.

"I see... Marie's meddling once more." Mother Carrie murmured lowly, bowing her head in dismay.

"Hey... Hey... Who's Marie?" Terisa whispered to the nun beside her.

"She's Mother Carrie's sister... Rumors say she bargained with a ruthless demon, trading her soul for eternal youth, and now serves him.

Her agents sneak into our realm, luring away our faithful with tempting offers." The nun detailed solemnly.

"Offers? Like what?" Terisa probed, totally baffled.

"Are you dense? Sinister deals... Such as healing your sick child in exchange for your soul to that demon, though we've never nabbed proof.

No one admits to the deals or their sources."

"So... Just a legend?" She wondered.

"Well... I-I-"

"No legend... I've witnessed Marie—she embodies lust's sin. Any man glimpsing her falls under her spell instantly. No will is strong enough, no control over base urges sufficient... You succumb, and your soul becomes hers to barter with the demon.

She's pure evil incarnate in this sacred realm, and we must shield our flock from her shadowy grasp. Clear?" Mother Carrie demanded sternly.

"We understand, Mother." The nuns replied in unison.

"Excellent... I'm finished. I'm off now—handle tomorrow's feast prep after eating; I'll ready the speech." Mother Carrie announced, rising promptly from the table.

"I'll assist you... Mother." Miola offered, standing swiftly to guide her from the hall.
