Xia Chuyi faces accusations from a confrontational youth. While her companion Ou Jun attempts to intervene, Xia Chuyi steps in, urging everyone to prioritize the victim's well-being by taking her to the hospital. She calmly suggests that the police should ultimately handle the judgment of the situation, despite seeming to be caught in a trap.

"Could you really be that kind-hearted?" The other fellow clearly didn't buy Xia Chuyi's sincerity. "Aren't you worried the police might discover something?"

Xia Chuyi found arguing with him utterly pointless. She stated, "Believe me or not, I have to tell you, I did not push anyone into the water."

"Therefore, compared to you, I'm the one who wants the police to uncover everything even more," Xia Chuyi declared. "Only by doing so can my name be cleared."

Xia Chuyi spoke these words with profound feeling.

Consequently, the clueless fellow shot Xia Chuyi a glare. Despite his lingering suspicions, he ultimately chose to remain silent.

"I... I am alright," Mother Xia responded instead, her gaze flicking towards Ou Jun. She lowered her head and spoke with a hint of trepidation, "There's no need, no need to send me to the hospital."

As she uttered these words, Mother Xia's body continued to tremble.

Regarding that incident from the past, Mother Xia still harbored feelings of guilt, or more accurately, she was consumed by worry and fear.

After all, the mistake back then had been hers.

Thus, encountering Ou Jun now, Mother Xia was quite apprehensive of him.

Even concerning Xia Chuyi, Mother Xia harbored anxieties, fearful that Xia Chuyi might act against her again, just as Xia Chuyi had supposedly arranged for someone to push her into the water.

Witnessing Mother Xia's guarded demeanor, the dim-witted fellow immediately piped up, "Auntie, you don't need to worry. Rest assured, I will be by your side the entire time!"

"I absolutely won't allow anyone the opportunity to lay a hand on you!" The fellow declared, thumping his chest.

At this precise moment, the slightly wavering fellow reaffirmed his suspicions.

Observing the unfolding situation, Xia Chuyi had already adopted a remarkably calm demeanor.

"Let's go, we are heading to the hospital," Xia Chuyi stated directly, wasting no time on pleasantries.

And so, some individuals began escorting Mother Xia to the hospital.

Throughout this process, Ou Jun seized the chance to meticulously question Xia Chuyi about the actual sequence of events.

"Indeed, how did it all unfold?" Xiao Jingqi also inquired. "Before I departed, we clearly saw Xia Lianlian conversing with that contact person..."

"How is it that suddenly Xia Lianlian and the contact vanished, and two college students appeared, claiming you pushed Zhao Chunxiao into the water?" Xiao Jingqi expressed his bewilderment.

Xia Chuyi offered a shrug, let out a sigh, and explained, "This matter, it truly is a long story, and a rather peculiar coincidence..."

In this manner, Xia Chuyi proceeded to recount the entire affair to her elder brother and Xiao Jingqi.

"Chuyi, do you suspect that the man in the work uniform, that contact, might have said something to Zhao Chunxiao?" Ou Jun questioned his sister, a frown creasing his brow after hearing Xia Chuyi's account.

"Yes," Xia Chuyi confirmed with a nod. "I do harbor such suspicions."

"Otherwise, she could not have groundlessly accused me of harming her," Xia Chuyi stated with certainty.

Pausing for a moment, Xia Chuyi reflected and continued, "Brother, to be completely honest with you, I suspect that the contact might have told Zhao Chunxiao something along the lines of, "He was sent by me," which led her to believe I was orchestrating everything."

"And to prevent implicating Xia Lianlian, she later directly placed the blame entirely on me," Xia Chuyi calmly articulated her conjecture.

"What did that contact person look like?" Upon hearing this, Ou Jun inquired, his brow furrowed, "Also, Xia Lianlian, in which direction did they flee?"
