Jiang Fengqi maintains a dedicated bedside vigil for a comatose Wang Zicheng, expressing her hope that he will awaken if only she promises to marry him. Witnessing this devotion, Xia Chuyi decides to intervene using her secret abilities to save him. She entrusts a medicinal recipe to her husband, Huo Shiqian, to facilitate the recovery. Ultimately, Wang Zicheng regains consciousness, signaling a long-awaited period of peace for the city and allowing Xia Chuyi to return to her normal life.

At the current stage of Xia Chuyi’s career over at "Youwei," her primary focus is waiting for the film "Struggle" to wrap up production and hit the theaters.

Not long after the chaos surrounding Wang Zicheng was settled, time seemed to fly by.

The motion picture "Struggle," which Xia Chuyi had backed with her own investment, was finally nearing its completion.

On the day they finished filming the final scene, Xia Chuyi went to the set to celebrate alongside the director and the rest of the crew.

The director leading the neighboring production was also in attendance.

The moment that director arrived, Xia Chuyi couldn't help but notice the dark, troubled expression plastered across his face.

"Director, is everything alright? You seem to have something heavy on your mind," Xia Chuyi inquired as she observed his somber demeanor.

Met with her concern, the director let out a heavy sigh and replied, "Chuyi, there is a certain matter I need to discuss with you in private, if you have a moment..."

His face was etched with a sense of lingering guilt as he gazed at her.

Xia Chuyi frowned, confused as to what could be bothering such a promising, future-famous director.

"Do you need to speak with me?" Xia Chuyi nodded. "Of course, that is fine."

She then walked over to a quiet corner with the director.

"Go ahead, Director. What is it that you wanted to say?"

Hearing her voice, the director sighed once more. "Chuyi, remember how we ordered those braised pork rice bowls from your shop a couple of days back?"

"We haven't managed to settle the bill for that yet..." He paused for a moment, his expression strained. "Would it be possible for you to be a bit flexible regarding the payment?"

"Could I pay you a bit later, once I get some things sorted out?" the director asked.

"Is that really all this is about?" Xia Chuyi flashed a smile. "That is not a problem at all. I have full confidence that your movie will be a hit, so in the end, this small amount will hardly matter."

The director offered a bitter, wry smile in response. "You certainly have more faith in our film than I do..."

Xia Chuyi’s eyebrows arched slightly as she caught his tone. "Hold on. Has something gone wrong with the production?"

"Sigh..." The director let out another weary breath. "I am starting to doubt whether I can even finish this film..."

"What?" The director’s admission stunned her, and she quickly asked, "How could it possibly be halted?"

Xia Chuyi clearly recalled the film being completed smoothly and going on to become a legendary pillar of Z country cinema.

And yet, here he was, claiming the project couldn't continue.

Xia Chuyi couldn't help but wonder if her memory had failed her or if this was simply an unforeseen hurdle within the production's history.

After thinking it over for a brief moment, she said, "Director, I don't think you should be so pessimistic. Sometimes, when a path seems blocked, you discover a new route you never expected..."

"I truly believe your movie will turn out just fine," Xia Chuyi stated with conviction.

However, the director shook his head slowly. "It isn't really a question of whether it gets finished or not, rather..."

"Even if we finish shooting it, it might no longer be the vision I originally intended," the director said with deep sincerity.

Xia Chuyi was even more startled by this revelation. "What is actually going on?"

Although she was a partner to the "Struggle" crew, she had always maintained a very friendly and harmonious relationship with this neighboring director.

Sensing her genuine concern, the director seemed relieved to have someone to confide in, and he proceeded to explain the situation to her.
